Basiglio (Lombard: Basej [baˈzɛj]) is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 13 kilometres (8 mi) south of Milan. It is the richest municipality of Italy. Basiglio borders the following municipalities: Zibido San Giacomo, Rozzano, Pieve Emanuele, Lacchiarella.

Humanitas University (Italian: Università HUMANITAS di Milano), also known as Hunimed, is an Italian private university dedicated to the medical sciences. The campus is based in the municipality of Rozzano, a part of the Metropolitan City of Milan, and is located within the Humanitas Research Hospital Campus. Humanitas University provides a six-year course in Medicine taught in English. They also provide a three-year course in Nursing and a three-year course in Physiotherapy, which are taught in Italian. As part of their speciality school degree programs, the university offers 11 courses. Including an advanced postgraduate course in Cardiovascular MR Imaging, a Master's in Endoscopy and a Master's in Urology.

Milanofiori Forum is a station on Line 2 of the Milan Metro, in the southern suburb of Assago. The line here runs beside Autostrada A7, and it is the southernmost station of the network. The station was opened on 20 February 2011 as the terminus of a two-station extension from Famagosta.The station serves the nearby Assago Forum, an indoor arena. The station can get very crowded after concerts and other events at the Forum.

Mediolanum Forum (originally the Forum di Assago, formerly the FilaForum and DatchForum) is an indoor sports arena that is located in Assago, a small town 3 km outside Milan, Italy. The arena has a seating capacity of 12,700 and is primarily used for basketball, ice hockey, tennis and live concerts. The venue is the home ground of the EuroLeague and Italian Serie A professional basketball team AX Armani Exchange Milan. In January 2009, the arena changed its name to the current name of Mediolanum Forum, replacing the old name of DatchForum.

Mirasole Abbey (Italian: Abbazia di Mirasole) is a monastery in the comune of Opera near Milan, Lombardy, Northern Italy. The monastery was initially founded by the Humiliati in the 13th century. The buildings have had diverse uses over the centuries. Since 2013, houses a community of the Premonstratensians.
