The Malmö Concert Hall (Swedish: Malmö Konserthus) was a 1,200-seat concert hall located in Lugnet, a central neighbourhood in Malmö, Sweden. It was the home of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, before they moved to the newly built Malmö Live in 2015.The building now houses the Swedish Public Employment Service.

The Rooseum Center for Contemporary Art was a formally private-owned (though publicly funded) centre for contemporary art located in Malmö, Sweden. Founded in 1988 by the Swedish art collector and financier Fredrik Roos (1951-1991), Rooseum began as a traditional exhibition hall showing modern and contemporary art from the Nordic countries and internationally. Under the first director, Lars Nittve, it established an international reputation. With the arrival of Charles Esche in 2000, Rooseum promoted more experimental relationships between art, artists and audience, by offering exhibitions and commissions linked to seminars, discussions and relevant screenings. It became one of the main sites of the artistic discussion around 'New institutionalism'. Rooseum, which was housed in a former power station built in 1900 at Gasverksgatan 22, closed in 2006.The Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm (Moderna Museet) opened a satellite location, Moderna Museet Malmö, in the premises of the former Rooseum in 2009. The Moderna Museet Malmö exhibits both its collection and temporary contemporary art exhibitions.

Moderna Museet Malmö is a museum of modern and contemporary art located in Malmö, Sweden. It is a part of the state-owned Moderna Museet but has an independent exhibition programme. The museum was opened in December 2009. The main building of the museum originally held an electricity plant established in 1901. It was later transformed into an exhibition hall which housed the Rooseum Centre for Contemporary art between 1988 and 2006. Before Moderna Museet Malmö moved in, the interior was transformed again and a new annex was built.

Malmö Synagogue (Swedish: Malmö synagoga, Hebrew: בית הכנסת של מאלמו) is the only synagogue in Malmö, Sweden. It was built in 1903 and designed by the architect John Smedberg. It has an Art Nouveau and Moorish Revival design, which is one of the few synagogues in Europe when most of them were destroyed during Kristallnacht 1938. The services of worship are Orthodox. At the inauguration of Malmö Synagogue, it was Malmö's first non-Christian place of worship. Malmö has two Jewish cemeteries: one section in the northern part of Sankt Pauli kyrkogård and another, newer section in Östra kyrkogården. The synagogue attracts about 5,000 yearly visitors.

Ebba Katarina Jakobsson (29 October 1950 – 7 November 1979) was a Swedish woman who was murdered and dismembered by her boyfriend Bengt Erik Hjalmarsson (later named Erik Ludvig Gyllenfjäder; 18 March 1949 – 12 January 2015) in his apartment on Kornettsgatan 20B in central Malmö, Sweden on 7 November 1979. Both Jakobsson and Hjalmarsson suffered from various mental disorders during their respective upbringings, which included schizophrenia, with both having sporadic contact with psychiatric care facilities. Jakobsson and Hjalmarsson had met each other during the summer of 1979, with her moving into his apartment in November. Jakobsson was murdered by being drowned in Hjalmarsson's bathtub after an attempt to seduce Hjalmarsson into sexual intercourse. Following this, Hjalmarsson dismembered Jakobsson's corpse, weighed them and discarded of her skeletal remains in the harbor of Inre hamnen. Hjalmarsson then consumed roughly 20 kilograms of Jakobsson's flesh by cooking it and serving it with red wine during the course of several meals. As a result, Hjalmarsson has been known as Malmökannibalen (The Malmö Cannibal), with the case being referred to as Kannibalmordet på Kornettsgatan (The Cannibal Murder on Kornettsgatan) Investigations into Jakobsson's murder began when her father reported her missing on 10 November 1979. In January 1980, Hjalmarsson was arrested for an unrelated burglary at his mothers house in Helsingborg, and was a week later arrested at Jakobsson's apartment. During interrogation, Hjalmarsson initially denied claims, but gave a detailed confession after bits of meat found in his refrigerator were found to be of human origin. Jakobsson's skeletal remains were found in late January 1980. Hjalmarsson was sentenced to indefinitive psychiatric care in June 1980, and changed his name to Erik Ludvig Gyllenfjäder in 1986. He died in 2015.

Caroli Church is a former church in Malmö, Sweden. It was built in 1880. The church is named after king Charles XI of Sweden. The first Caroli Church was built in 1680, in the same place as the current building. The church was also known as "The German Church" and the services was held in the German language for the German merchants and craftsmen of Malmö.It was deconsecrated in 2010.

Malmö Teater or Malmö Theater, formally Kongl. Priwilegierade Theatern i Malmö ('Royal Theater of Malmö'), was a theater in Malmö in Sweden, active between 1809 and 1938. It was situated at the street Stora Nygatan with an entrance at the square Gustav Adolfs torg. It is known as the first permanent theater building in the city of Malmö.

Disgusting Food Museum is a museum exhibiting disgusting food from around the world. The museum was located in Slagthuset MMX in Malmö from 29 October 2018 – 27 January 2019 and is now located in Södra Förstadsgatan 2, Malmö since the summer of 2021. The exhibition contains around 80 different food items from around the world, including roasted guinea pig from Peru, Casu martzu cheese from Sardinia and surströmming from Sweden. The museums has been featured in news media including The New York Times, Washington Post, Vox, Lonely Planet, Metro, Atlas obscura, New Yorker among others.

Saint Peter's Church (Swedish: Sankt Petri kyrka) is a Brick Gothic church in Malmö, Sweden. Built in the 14th century as the main church of the city, it has been described as "the main Gothic monument within church architecture in Skåne". The church was a spiritual centre during the Reformation, and was one of only a few churches in what was at the time medieval Denmark that suffered damage due to iconoclasm as a consequence of the Reformation. St. Peter's Church contains late medieval murals of recognized high quality, as well as a number of unusual furnishings. The altarpiece, made in 1611, is one of the largest in the Nordic countries.

Malmö District Court (Swedish: Malmö tingsrätt) is a law court in Malmö, Sweden whose jurisdiction includes the municipalities of Burlöv, Malmö and Vellinge. Malmö District Court comes under the Court of Appeal for Skåne and Blekinge. In 2014 a building in which part of the court operates was targeted by a bomb which caused minor damage. Later the same year another more powerful bomb planted at the entrance by unknown perpetrators. The second bomb was powerful to destroy its entrance and damaged windows and balconies of nearby buildlings but no people were hurt. As a result, the wisdom of placing the court building of a volatile city in a residential area was questioned by officials.
