Swiftwater Inn was a historic inn and tavern located in Pocono Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. It was originally built in 1778, and was a three-story building with a gambrel roof. It had a two-story front verandah. The building had various additions built in the mid- to late-19th century.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. It was delisted in 2010 after being demolished in 2007 as structurally unsound.

The Mount Airy Lodge, built in the 1890s, was a five-star hotel and resort located in Paradise Township near Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania. It was closed in October 2001 and demolished in subsequent years. The site now houses Mount Airy Casino Resort.

Mount Airy includes more than 1,800 slot machines and more than 70 table games including blackjack, craps, roulette, and baccarat. It also features several dining options ranging from a buffet to fine dining, nightlife venues, and an 18-hole golf course called Mount Airy Golf Club.Mount Airy Casino Resort was built on the site of the former Mount Airy Lodge and first opened in October 2007. The owner, Louis DeNaples, was later charged with perjury due to suspected ties with organized crime figures. He turned ownership of the casino resort over to his daughter and avoided prosecution.On March 29, 2019, Mount Airy Casino Resort applied for a sports betting license. The Fox Bet online sportsbook was launched on September 4, 2019. On September 9, 2019, Mount Airy Casino Resort held a soft launch for its retail sportsbook, with a two-day testing period; the full launch occurred on September 11, 2019. The 7,000-square-foot (650 m2) sportsbook at the casino is located next to the poker room and has teller windows, four self-betting kiosks, and several televisions. In 2019 the Casino had a revenue of $277,194 solely from online sports betting.In July 2020, Mount Airy Casino resort received a $50 million dollar loan from the U.S. Federal Reserve as part of the Main Street Lending Program.

Scotrun is an unincorporated community in Pocono Township in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, United States. Scotrun is located in the Pocono Mountains along Pennsylvania Route 611, north of Tannersville and south of Mount Pocono. Popular attractions in Scotrun include the Great Wolf Lodge - Pocono Mountains and the Four Seasons Campground.

Pocono Mountain is a proposed New Jersey Transit Rail Operations (NJT) station located in Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania and is part of a site that was formerly utilized as a summer camp. The proposed station site, which will include a 1,000-space surface parking lot, is located northwest of a multi-phased planned development for this area. Access will be from Pennsylvania Route 611 via Pocono Municipal Road/Mount Pocono Road and a local access road and the platform would be situated east of the track.Rail service from this station to New Jersey and New York City would be provided by NJ Transit if Lackawanna Cut-Off Restoration Project is completed. In spring 2021, Amtrak announced plans for potential New York-Scranton route.

Monroe County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census, the population was 168,327. Its county seat is Stroudsburg. The county was formed from sections of Northampton and Pike counties on April 1, 1836.Named in honor of James Monroe, the fifth president of the United States, the county is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania, along its border with New Jersey. The population increased by over 70% from 1990 to 2010, and the commercial and retail sectors expanded significantly, although population growth has since slowed. The Lehigh River, a 109-mile-long (175 km) tributary of the Delaware River, flows southward through Monroe County and then into the Lehigh Valley, where it joins the Delaware River in Easton, Pennsylvania.

The Casino Theatre Entertainment Center was a two-screen movie house and ice cream shop in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania. This year-round family-owned and operated business, founded in 1975, was built on the site of the Casino dance hall and night club, which was itself established in 1922. In addition to first-run movies, the Casino housed the Village Malt Shoppe, which features an old-fashioned soda fountain offering ice cream soda, malted milk, milkshake, egg cream and phosphates, as well as a large selection of ice cream flavors. There was also a redemption game room geared toward younger children, and an 18-hole miniature golf course. In 2022, following the sale of the Theatre from the family owning it since its opening in 1975 reports emerged that the theatre would be converted into a Vietnamese restaurant by its new owners.

Mount Pocono is a borough in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. It is located nearly centered in the southernmost county of five in the northeastern corner that are part of the Pocono Mountains. The borough serves as a local highway nexus, and sees a lot of tourist traffic making use of resources in the region. As of the 2020 census, the borough population was 3,083 residents.

Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark is a water park located in the Poconos in Tannersville, Pennsylvania at Big Pocono State Park. Opened in 1998, it is the summer operation for Camelback Resort, which is a skiing and snowboard resort during the winter.
