South African Jewish Museum

The Gardens Shul, formally, the Cape Town Hebrew Congregation, founded in 1841, located in the Cape Town Botanical Gardens, in the Gardens neighborhood of Cape Town, is the oldest Jewish congregation in South Africa. The rabbi is Rabbi Feldman and the cantor is Choni Goldman. The congregation, known as "The Mother Synagogue of South Africa," possesses two historic structures, the 1863 synagogue and the 1905 synagogue. The original 1849 building is no longer extant.The synagogue grounds also house the South African Jewish Museum.

The Jacob Gitlin Library in Cape Town, South Africa is an archive of information on Judaism, Jewish culture and history, and the nation of Israel. It was founded under the auspices of the South African Zionist Federation in 1959. The library is housed in the same building as the St. John's Street synagogue, the South African Jewish Museum, the Great Synagogue, and the Holocaust Centre. It is near the Houses of Parliament and the Tuynhuys, lying in a block between Company's Garden, St. John's Street, and a spur of Hatfield Street. Its namesake, Jacob Gitlin, was secretary of the local Dorshei Zion Society for 27 years.

The Iziko South African National Gallery is the national art gallery of South Africa located in Cape Town. It became part of the Iziko collection of museums – as managed by the Department of Arts and Culture – in 2001. It then became an agency of the Department of Arts and Culture. Its collection consists largely of Dutch, French and British works from the 17th to the 19th century. This includes lithographs, etchings and some early 20th-century British paintings. Contemporary art work displayed in the gallery is selected from many of South Africa's communities and the gallery houses an authoritative collection of sculpture and beadwork.

Gardens Commercial High School is a coeducational inner city Secondary School in Cape Town, South Africa with learners aged 12–18 years. Artillery Memorial, Cape Town was erected in memory of the gunners who fought for South Africa during World War I. The memorial, which forms part of the Delville Wood Memorial, is located in the Company's Garden, Cape Town, and was strategically established to commemorate South Africa's artillery soldiers who fell in battle. Of those who volunteered to fight during the war, 5800 were white South African, amongst whom 15% were Dutch and 85% English. An estimated 2536 of these men were killed in the Deville Wood battle in Europe. The Artillery Memorial, an authentic cannon facing east towards the National Gallery, proudly honors South Africa's heavy artillerymen. Inscribed on it are the names of the officers, N.C.O.'s and men of the South African artillery who fell in the Great War (1914–1918).The memorial is classified as a public monument and as such is subject to protection in terms of heritage legislation administered by Heritage Western Cape the provincial heritage resources authority of the Western Cape Province.

The Company's Garden is the oldest garden in South Africa, a park and heritage site located in central Cape Town. The garden was originally created in the 1650s by the region's first European settlers and provided fertile ground to grow fresh produce to replenish ships rounding the Cape. It is watered from the Molteno Dam, which uses water from the springs on the lower slopes of Table Mountain.

The Iziko South African Museum is a South African national museum located in Cape Town. The museum was founded in 1825, the first in the country. It has been on its present site in the Company's Garden since 1897. The museum houses important African zoology, palaeontology and archaeology collections.Iziko is a Xhosa word meaning "hearth".

The South African International Exhibition held in Cape Town, Cape Colony was a world's fair held in 1877 which opened on 15 February by Henry Bartle Frere.

The Little Theatre Complex consists of three theatres in a building located on the University of Cape Town's Hiddingh campus on Orange Street in Cape Town. The Little Theatre, the main theatre in the building, is actually the largest providing seating for 240 people. The other two theatres, the Arena and Intimate theatres, can seat 70-80 people. The theatre complex is adjacent to the fine arts and drama departments at the University of Cape Town.

The Consulate General provides many services to the French community and those who desire to travel to France.
