Steinbach (Baden) is a town to the North of Bühl (Baden) in Baden-Württemberg, which is a state in Southwest Germany. In 1972 Steinbach became a suburb of the spa town of Baden-Baden, together with Neuweier and Varnhalt. In 2004, the population of Steinbach was about 5000.

Altschweier is a village to the east of the town of Bühl (Baden) in Southwest Germany. It is located in the Bühlot valley on both sides of the Bühlot stream extending into the foothills of the Black Forest mountain range. In 2004, the population of Altschweier was about 2100.

Neuweier is a village to the east of the town of Steinbach (Baden) in Southwest Germany. It is located in a valley on both sides of the Steinbach stream extending into the foothills of the Black Forest mountain range. Since 1972, Neuweier has become a suburb of the spa town of Baden-Baden, together with Steinbach and Varnhalt. In 2004, the population of Neuweier was about 2000.

Bühlertal is a municipality in the district of Rastatt in Baden-Württemberg in Germany.

Windeck Castle (German: Burg Windeck), also Old Windeck Castle (Burg Alt-Windeck), is a ruined Black Forest spur castle which stands on a 378-metre-high spur in the Bühl district of Kappelwindeck, in the county of Rastatt in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.

The city of Bühl (Low Alemannic: Bihl) is part of the district of Rastatt in the southwestern state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It has a history reaching back to the twelfth century and was formerly an agricultural town, especially famous for its plums. Bühl has a population of about 29,000, and is in the region between the Rhine Valley and the Black Forest. Today it is mainly an industrial town, especially in the car manufacturing supply industry. Yet it still has preserved its character and is also renowned for its good restaurants.Bühl is a town in the southwestern state of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, about 10 km (6.2 mi) South of Baden-Baden. Bühl is the third largest town in Rastatt County (Landkreis), after Rastatt itself and Gaggenau. Due to its location, size and importance it has become a central place for numerous towns, townships and villages in the neighbourhood. Bühl was proclaimed a major district town (Große Kreisstadt) on 1 January 1973, after it lost its status as an independent county seat during municipal reforms in Baden-Württemberg. The following villages form the district town of Bühl: Altschweier, Balzhofen, Eisental, Kappelwindeck, Oberbruch, Oberweier, Moos, Neusatz, Rittersbach, Vimbuch, Weitenung. Bühl forms a joint administrative community with the municipality of Ottersweier.

Varnhalt is a district of Baden-Baden in the state of Baden-Württemberg in southwestern Germany. It has about 2,000 residents. The village is situated at an altitude of 204 meters on the western slope of the Yberg (517 m), south-west of Baden-Baden. Viticulture and the wine trade are the main sources of income of its inhabitants.

The Waldenecksee or Petersee is a quarry lake on the western edge of the Northern Black Forest. It lies in an exclave of the municipality of Sinzheim, surrounded by Baden-Baden, between Iberg and Fremersberg on the western side of the hill of Waldeneck. Around 1900 a quarry was established here that was worked until 1968. After that a lake formed on the floor of the quarry, about 200 metres long and 35–75 metres wide. One of its common names, the Petersee, is derived from the name of the former quarry owners, the Peter Porphyry Gravel Works (Porphyr-Schotterwerk Peter). Today it is leased as an angling lake and bathing is forbidden.

The Fremersberg is a hill, 524.6 m above sea level (NHN), on the western edge of the northern Black Forest in south Germany on the territory of the town of Baden-Baden and the municipality of Sinzheim. On the summit plateau, which is made of bunter sandstone there is the residential area of Fremersberg Turm with rented inn, which was built by the town of Baden-Baden in 1884, and the 85-metre-high Fremersberg Tower, built in 1961, a transmission tower with an observation platform.

The Gertelbach Falls (German: Gertelbachfälle) or Gertelbach Waterfalls (Gertelbach-Wasserfälle), formerly also the Gertelbach Gorge (Gertelbachschlucht), are on the Gertelbach stream in the Bühlertal valley in the Northern Black Forest in Germany. The Gertelbach begins in a spring horizon between the Lower Bunter Sandstone and the Bühlertal Granite, west of the Black Forest High Road, and empties after just 2.5 kilometres into the (smaller) Wiedenbach. The stream thus drops through about 330 metres of height. In the steepest section, about 800 metres before its confluence, the stream drops in cascades for 220 metres over about 15 steps, each of 2 to 6 metres high. The main area of falls in the upper third of the valley step measures 70 metres and ends at a height of over 600 m above NHN.
