Punctuation Spire is a sculpture by American artist William Crutchfield that is installed in Campus Center on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus, which is near downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, and is owned by the university.

Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, commonly referred to as IUPUI, is a public research university in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is a collaboration between Indiana University and Purdue University that offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees from both universities. Administered primarily through Indiana University as a core campus and secondarily through Purdue University as a regional campus, it is Indiana's primary urban research and academic health sciences institution. IUPUI is located in downtown Indianapolis along the White River and Fall Creek. Among more than 550 degree programs, the urban university hosts the primary campuses for both the Indiana University School of Medicine, with more than 2,000 students, and the Indiana University School of Dentistry, the only dental school in the state. Also the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law is one of the two Indiana University law schools. After excluding the research budget of the IU School of Medicine, IUPUI is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity." The IUPUI Jaguars compete in the NCAA's Division I in the Horizon League. Several athletics venues are located on the campus, including the IU Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium and Indiana University Natatorium, the largest indoor pool in the United States with a seating capacity of 4,700. On August 12, 2022, the boards of trustees of both Purdue and IU announced that IUPUI will split into two separate universities, with completion of the split to be finished by the fall 2024 semester.

It is Indiana's primary urban research and academic health sciences institution. It is located in downtown Indianapolis along the White River and Fall Creek. Among more than 550 degree programs, the university hosts the primary campuses for both the Indiana University School of Medicine, the largest medical school in the country, and the Indiana University School of Dentistry, the only dental school in the state. Also present is the IU McKinney School of Law, one of two IU law schools. As the research budget of the IU School of Medicine is reported through IU Bloomington and thus excluded, IU Indy's Carnegie Classification is among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity". The IU Indy Jaguars compete in the NCAA's NCAA Division I in the Horizon League. Several athletics venues are located on the campus, including the IU Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium and Indiana University Natatorium, the largest indoor pool in the United States with a seating capacity of 4,700. A new 4,500-seat athletics center for basketball, volleyball, and other uses will be erected on the campus for $110 million. On August 12, 2022, the boards of trustees of both Purdue and IU announced that IUPUI would split into two separate universities, with completion of the split set to be finished by the fall 2024 semester. The School of Science, which was administered by Purdue during the IUPUI era, is transitioning to IU with the exception of the computer science department. The School of Engineering and Technology continues to be administered by Purdue with the exception of the department of music arts and technology, which will join the IU School of Art and Design. The remaining Purdue programs in Indianapolis will operate as fully integrated extensions of their West Lafayette counterparts. IU will add new computer science programs to its School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering, and Purdue intends to open a branch of its applied research institute on or near the IUPUI campus. IU will provide certain administrative services to both academic organizations.

Untitled (IUPUI Letters), a public sculpture, was designed by the New York City firm Two Twelve and is located on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus near downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The sculpture can be viewed at the entrance of the IUPUI Campus Center, at the north-west corner of Vermont Street and University Boulevard. This sculpture consists of five letters. Each of the letters has a height of 7 feet 5 inches and a length of 3 feet 5 inches. The width of each sculpture varies by letter. Widths are the following for each of the letters represented in the sculpture: "I" is 11.5 inches, "U" is 26.125 inches, and the "P" is 25 inches. The fabricator of the letters was ASI Modulex of Indianapolis. They built the sculptures in May 2008 and installed them in June of the same year.

The Indiana University School of Liberal Arts is the home of the humanities and social sciences at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), an urban, research campus. The only liberal arts school in the Indiana University system, the School of Liberal Arts has 11 departments (Anthropology, Communication Studies, Economics, English, Geography, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Religious Studies, Sociology, and World Languages & Cultures), 16 undergraduate degree programs (including those offered in departmental disciplines as well as American Sign Language/English Interpreting, International Studies, Philanthropic Studies and the Individualized Major Program), and 15 graduate degrees and certificates including Ph.D.s in Economics and Philanthropic Studies. The School of Liberal Arts also houses multiple centers for research and study, some nationally and internationally renowned.

Robert E. Cavanaugh Hall was one of the first non-medical academic buildings constructed on the IUPUI campus alongside Joseph T. Taylor Hall, known as the Blake Street Library at that time, and the Lecture Hall. Cavanaugh Hall served as an early hub for academic, administrative, and student activities which would lead to a constantly reshuffling of space usage. Competition of space for classrooms, administrative activities, and student activities would underscore the history of Cavanaugh Hall. Cavanaugh Hall currently serves as the home for the IUPUI School of Liberal Arts and various related research units.

Indiana University Health University Hospital is a teaching hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, affiliated with the Indiana University School of Medicine and Indiana University Health. With nearly 1,100 physician faculty members at Indiana University Health University Hospital, physicians, surgeons, nurses and staff care for more than 57,000 patients a year. Approximately 52 percent of physicians in Indiana were trained at Indiana University Health University Hospital. In addition, Indiana University Health University Hospital physicians and staff continuously seek advances in medicine. The staff actively participate in approximately 150 clinical and prevention trials to provide optimal patient treatments.As part of Indiana University Health, the hospital works closely with nearby Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital and Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health. The Indiana University Health University Hospital Emergency Department closed on June 30, 2014, with its adult emergency room care services moving to the Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital Emergency Medicine and Trauma Center.

The Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is a major multi-campus medical school located in the US state of Indiana. There are nine campuses throughout the state; the principal research, educational, and medical center is located on the Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus in Indianapolis. With 1,436 MD students and 200 PhD students in 2021, IUSM is one of the largest medical schools in the United States. The school offers many joint-degree programs including an MD-PhD Medical Scientist Training Program in a partnership with Purdue University's Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering. It is the medical school with the largest number of graduates licensed in the United States per a 2018 Federation of State Medical Boards survey with 11,828 licensed physicians.The school has pioneered research in multiple specialties, including oncology, immunology, substance use, neuroscience, and endocrinology. Research discoveries include a curative therapy for testicular cancer, the development of echocardiography, the identification of several genes linked to Alzheimer's disease, and the creation of inner ear sensory cells from pluripotent stem cells.In the 2021 U.S. News & World Report rankings of the best graduate schools for medicine, the school ranked 20th in the nation for primary care and 47th for research out of about 150 medical schools. In the U.S. News & World Report rankings of the best hospitals, the Indiana University Health Medical Center had seventeen nationally ranked clinical programs. The Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health is nationally ranked in 9 of 10 designated specialties for children in the U.S. News & World Report. The IU School of Medicine is also home to the Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Department of Central Eurasian Studies, often abbreviated as CEUS, is a specialized academic department in the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies, at the Bloomington campus of Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana. Since its original formation in 1943 as a language-training program for the U.S. military, the department has become the sole independent degree-granting academic unit staffed with its own faculty dedicated to Central Eurasia in the country. Due to the department and the presence of several additional centers - the Inner Asian & Uralic National Resource Center, the Denis Sinor Research Institute for Inner Asian Studies, and the Center for Languages of the Central Asian Region - Indiana University currently hosts the premier program of Central Asian studies in the United States. CEUS is home to many notable scholars of Central Eurasian studies, past and present, including Christopher Beckwith, Yuri Bregel, Jamsheed Choksy, Devin Deweese, William Fierman, Gyorgy Kara, Nazif Shahrani, Denis Sinor, and Elliot Sperling. The department teaches many less commonly taught languages, including Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Kurdish, Pashto, Tajik, Turkmen, Uyghur, and Uzbek.

Procession of Ants is a public sculpture by American artist, David Bowen, located on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus, which is near downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The sculpture can be found in the flower bed of Taylor Hall on the north side of the building. It was accessioned in 1998 as a part of a competition to create more artwork for IUPUI.

University Hall at Indiana University is located at the corner of New York Street and University Boulevard and is home to the IUPUI Administration, IU Foundation, Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and the IU School of Social Work. The building is located south of the Indiana University Indianapolis Lecture Hall and to the west of the Education and Social Work Building.

Casey Stengel a public sculpture by American artist, Rhoda Sherbell, is located on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus, which is near downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The sculpture can be found in the courtyard of the University Place Hotel. Installed in 2000, the sculpture was cast in bronze with a height of 43 inches.
