The Marina district is a neighborhood in the southwest section of Downtown San Diego, California along the San Diego Bay.

Old Police Headquarters is a historic building in San Diego, in the U.S. state of California. It was built in 1939 by Quayle. Charles & Edward (QuayleBros Treganza, Alberto Owen Golden, Morley (M.H.Golden Constr.) and served as the San Diego Police Department's headquarters until 1987. The renovated buildings are now known as "The Headquarters" at Seaport Village. The building has a concrete foundation with stucco walls and has a red clay tile roof. The building's areas of significance are Architecture, Law, Politics, and Government.

La Punta de Los Muertos, also called Sailors, Dead Men's Point is a historical site in San Diego, California. La Punta de Los Muertos site is a California Historical Landmark No. 57, listed on December 6, 1932. The site is thought (site could be another place) to be the burial site of those that died in the survey party of Don Juan Pantoja y Arriaga and Don José Továr in 1782. Don Juan Pantoja y Arriaga arrived at San Diego Bay on the Spanish Empire Royal frigate La Princesa. With La Princesa was the frigate La Favorita. The ships were under the command of Don Augustín de Echeverria or Esteban José Martínez. La Princesa was under Agustín de Echeverría and Josef Tovar. Some sailors on the ships most likely died from scurvy or an intestinal disease, from lack of fresh food on the trip to San Diego. Esteban Martínez and Pantoja was also on the trip. Don Juan Pantoja was the leader of the San Diego Bay survey party, called the Pantoja voyage. The site is now a city shopping mall and Ruocco Park, near the San Diego Police Museum.A historical marker was place on Harbor Drive and Pacific Highway (California Highway 163) in San Diego, in 1954 by San Diego County Board of Supervisors and the Historical Markers Committee.

Kansas City Barbeque is a restaurant and bar located in the harbor district of San Diego, California. Self-proclaimed as the "Top Gun Bar", it is known for being the filming location for scenes used in the film Top Gun.

The Navy Broadway Complex is a bayside military facility located in Downtown San Diego, California. It houses the primary offices of the Navy Region Southwest, and is closely tied to regional United States Coast Guard operations. The Global Advanced Traceability and Control (ATAC) and function is housed in the Navy Broadway Complex.

Benito Juárez is an outdoor bronze sculpture depicting Mexican lawyer and politician Benito Juárez created by Mexican sculptor Ernesto Tamariz, installed at San Diego's Pantoja Park, in the U.S. state of California. The statue was gifted by the Mexican government in the 1980s.

Seaport Village is a station of the Green and Silver Lines on the San Diego Trolley, United States. It is located in the Marina District section of the city, which features waterfront apartments, just west of Downtown. Seaport Village, a shopping and entertainment complex, is located adjacent to the station. This station opened June 30, 1990 as part of the Orange Line's (then called the East Line) Bayside Extension.Seaport Village is where the Green and the Silver lines split. The Silver Line turns east towards America Plaza as part of its clockwise circular route around Downtown San Diego, while the Green Line moves north towards Santa Fe Depot on its route through Old Town Transit Center to east county and Santee. The station was closed from July 9 through October 8, 2012 to undergo renovations as part of the Trolley Renewal Project.On September 2, 2012, service to this station by the Orange Line was replaced by the Green Line as part of a system redesign.

Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is a high-rise hotel complex in San Diego, in the U.S. state of California, composed of two towers. The towers are the third- and ninth-tallest buildings in the city. Developed by Doug Manchester and owned by Host Hotels & Resorts, the taller tower is the tallest building on the waterfront on the West Coast, and with 1,628 rooms, it is Southern California's largest hotel. Because of its proximity to the waterfront, as well as its amenities, the Manchester Grand Hyatt is referred to as a spa and resort.

The Seaport Village Carousel, also known as the Fair Park Looff Carousel, is a historic wooden carousel in the western wing of Seaport Village of San Diego, California. It was built by noted carver Charles I. D. Looff, who also constructed the Santa Monica Pier, in 1895. The carousel costs a small fee to ride and contains 54 animals and 2 chariots.

Pantoja Park is a public park located in the Marina District of Downtown San Diego, California. Originally built in 1850, it is the oldest park in the city of San Diego. The park is named for Don Juan Pantoja y Arriola, a Spanish navigator who drew the first map of San Diego Bay in 1782. In the park stands a statue of Benito Juarez, a gift from the Mexican government in 1981. Located on G Street near Columbia Street, Pantoja Park is a small oasis of open greenery in quickly redeveloping Downtown San Diego.Pantoja Park features a large grassy area and multiple large mature trees. The park has several towering old fig trees, shrubs and flowers, benches, walking paths, and a historic Natal Plum planted in the middle of the park. Two years after the formation of San Diego's Historical Resources Board, Pantoja Park was registered as the seventh San Diego Historic Landmark in 1969.

Shedding the Cloak is an outdoor 2001 public artwork by Jerry and Tama Dumlao and Mary Lynn Dominguez, installed along San Diego's Martin Luther King Jr. Promenade, in the U.S. state of California. The work is one of several commemorating Martin Luther King Jr. along the promenade, including Mel Edwards' Breaking of the Chains and Roberto Salas' Dream.
