There is a Nature reserve and a cricket pitch within walking distance of the village. Fashion designer Stella McCartney lives near the village in the parish. Just outside the village is a golf club with a 9 and 18 hole courses a driving range, and clubhouse and restaurant. In 2019, people from Bishampton and surrounding villages came together to share their opinions on the Throckmorton Airfield housing development. The development would bring over 2,000 houses to the area as well as schools, services and employment.

It has a well stocked village shop and post office, an excellent pub in the centre of the village, and a first school (rated Good by Ofsted in November 2016). A garage and another pub lie on the periphery of the village. Local residents include David Britton who has had numerous letters published in the Daily Mail including a lengthy anecdote on working in a butcher's shop in the 1950s published on 10th July 2018.

Inkberrow Millennium Green is an 8-acre public open space to the east of the village, opened in 2000, which includes a medieval moat and fishpond, a variety of wildflowers and fruit trees, and a millennium seat with extensive views.
