Concordia Senior College

The Concordia Theological Seminary is a Lutheran seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It offers professional, master's degrees, and doctoral degrees affiliated with training clergy and deaconesses for the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS).

Bishop Dwenger High School is a co-educational college preparatory high school in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne–South Bend in Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States. Dwenger is named after Joseph Gregory Dwenger, the second Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne–South Bend.

Hilliard Gates Sports Center is a multi-purpose arena located in the northeast corner of the Purdue University Fort Wayne campus, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It opened in 1981 and contains 68,106 square feet (6,327.3 m2) of space. It is home to the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons volleyball and men's and women's basketball teams.The venue is named for former area sportscaster Hilliard Gates. Before being renamed in his honor in 1991, the Gates Center was known as the Multipurpose Building.The center was damaged by two burst pipes in 2019, which released 20,000 to 40,000 gallons of water, forcing the cancellation of an indoor track meet.In addition to its use as a venue for intercollegiate competition, the Gates Center also has fitness facilities for students and faculty. Alumni and members of the general public may also use these facilities by purchasing a pass.

Indiana University Fort Wayne (IUFW) is a public university in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It is a regional campus of Indiana University founded on July 1, 2018, when its predecessor university, Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne, split into two separate institutions: IU Fort Wayne and Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW). IUFW is administered through Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis.

Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) was a public university in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Founded in 1964, IPFW was a cooperatively-managed regional campus of two state university systems: Indiana University and Purdue University. IPFW hit its highest enrollment in 2014, with 13,459 undergraduate and postgraduate students in nine colleges and schools, including a branch of the Indiana University School of Medicine. During its last academic year (2017–2018), IPFW had a total enrollment of 10,414 students. IPFW offered more than 200 graduate and undergraduate degree programs through IU or Purdue universities. The university's 14 men's and women's athletic teams competed in Division I of the NCAA Summit League. On July 1, 2018, the two universities parted company in Fort Wayne. The health sciences programs on the campus became Indiana University Fort Wayne, and the other programs became Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW). About two weeks before the split took effect, the athletic program, which was inherited solely by PFW, changed its branding from Fort Wayne Mastodons to Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons.

Hefner Soccer Complex (also known as Hefner Stadium, and Hefner Fields) is a large group of soccer fields located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It is named after David J. Hefner, the late son of William J. and Bonnie L. Hefner, local philanthropists. The complex consists of 14 fields highlighted by a 2,000-seat stadium. The complex is used by Purdue University Fort Wayne soccer teams, known as the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons, and the Fort Wayne Fever of the USL Premier Development League.

Mastodon Field is a baseball venue in Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States. It is home to the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons baseball team of the NCAA Division I Horizon League. The venue has a capacity of 200 spectators.Prior to the 2011 season, the field's surface and pitcher's mound were renovated. It also features a brick backstop, dugouts, batting cages, and grandstand seating.

Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW) is a public university in Fort Wayne, Indiana. A campus of Purdue University, Purdue Fort Wayne was founded on July 1, 2018, when its predecessor university, Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne formally split into two separate institutions: Purdue University Fort Wayne and Indiana University Fort Wayne.Its athletic teams are the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons. Most of the university's 14 men's and women's athletic teams compete in Division I of the NCAA Horizon League; the men's volleyball team competes in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association.

Memorial Stadium was a stadium located in Johnny Appleseed Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It was primarily used for baseball, and was the home field of the Fort Wayne Wizards of the Midwest League baseball team. Memorial Stadium was dedicated on April 18, 1993 before a sold-out crowd.One of the most historic moments for the stadium came April 24, 1994 when Alex Rodriguez hit the first professional home run of his career.Memorial Stadium hosted its final baseball game August 28, 2008, with 6,106 in attendance, between the Wizards and South Bend Silver Hawks. Highlights included the ceremonial first pitch thrown by 2008 Summer Olympic Gold medalist Lloy Ball and the national anthem performed by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra. The final attendance recorded for Memorial Stadium was 4,046,261.Memorial Stadium's replacement, Parkview Field, opened for the 2009 season in downtown Fort Wayne as the new home for the franchise. In the summer of 2009, Memorial Stadium was demolished.

Allen County War Memorial Coliseum is a 13,000-seat multi-purpose arena located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, near present-day Johnny Appleseed Park. It opened in 1952 with a construction cost of nearly $3 million. The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum was originally designed to seat 8,103 for hockey or 10,240 for basketball. Opened in 1989, the Coliseum's $26 million Exposition Center contains 108,000-ft² (0.100-km2) devoted to hosting substantial trade shows and other events with seating for 7,500. In 2002, an extensive $35 million renovation and expansion raised the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum's roof by 41 feet (12 m), thus increasing the arena's seating capacity to 10,500 for hockey or music concerts and 13,000 for basketball. The original structure was designed by A.M. Strauss Architects.

Johnny Appleseed Park, including what was formerly known as Archer Park, is a public park in Fort Wayne, Indiana. It is named after the popular-culture nickname of John Chapman, better known as "Johnny Appleseed", a famous American pioneer, who was buried on the site. Chapman's gravesite is accessible to public view through steel gates. The weathered tombstone says, "Johnny Appleseed He lived for others. 1774–1845." It also has a carved apple in bas relief.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.The land of the park was donated to Allen County, Indiana, by William T. McKay to serve as a memorial park for the community. It became part of the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department as the city grew and annexed the land. Johnny Appleseed Park serves as the home for Fort Wayne's annual Johnny Appleseed Festival. The current park, as of 2008, includes a large campground nestled in rolling meadows and woods along the St. Joseph River, Vietnam War Memorial, and at the extreme northwest corner of the park, includes the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum and Exposition Center.
