Falsters Minder (literally Falster's Memories) is the city museum of Nykøbing on the Danish island of Falster. It is housed in the 17th century half-timbered building known as Czarens Hus (the Czar's House).

Nykøbing Castle (Danish: Nykøbing Slot), now demolished, was located on today's Slotsbryggen in Nykøbing Falster, Denmark. Completed in 1594 in the Renaissance style, it replaced an earlier building from the 12th century. A royal palace, it was the traditional residence of Denmark's queen dowagers including Margrethe Sambiria (1230?–1282) and Queen Sophie (1557–1631). Christopher II died in the castle in 1332.

The Siege of Nykøbing or formally the Siege of Nykøbing Castle (Danish: Belejringen af Nykøbing Slot), was a siege of Nykøbing Castle, Falster between Danish and Swedish forces during the Danish-Hanseatic War (1361–1370). The Siege ended in a Swedish victory, though the Danes were able to achieve a good Instrument of Surrender.

The Abbey Church (Danish: Klosterkirken), also known as Nykøbing Church, in Nykøbing on the Danish island of Falster is a church in the Gothic style from the 15th century. Its origins go back to 1419 when Eric of Pomerania, king of the Nordic Kalmar Union, established a Franciscan monastery. One of its treasures is the Mecklenburg Ancestral Table (1627) presenting the ancestors of the dowager Queen Sophie.

Nykøbing Falster (IPA: [ˈnyˌkʰøˀpe̝ŋ ˈfælˀstɐ] ; originally named Nykøbing) is a city on the island of Falster in southern Denmark. It has a population of 16,927 (1 January 2023). Including the satellite town Sundby on the Lolland side, with a population of 3,178, the total population is 20,105. Nykøbing Falster is the seat of the Guldborgsund kommune in Region Sjælland. The city lies on Falster, and is connected by the 295-metre-long (323 yd) Frederick IX Bridge over the Guldborgsund (Guldborg Strait) waterway to the island of Lolland.

Nykøbing Falster Idrætspark is a football stadium in Nykøbing Falster. It is the home stadium of Danish 1st Division club Nykøbing FC. The stadium has a total capacity of 10,000, of which 2,000 is seated. For sponsorship reasons, the stadium was known as Scandic Live Arena between 21 September 2008 and 31 December 2011, Telenor Arena between 10 July 2012 and 31 July 2014, Enelco Arena between 31 August 2014 and 31 December 2016 and as CM Arena between 6 March 2018 and 2 June 2021. On 3 June 2021, a sponsorship agreement with Lollands Bank was announced, changing the name to Lollands Bank Park effectively immediately.

The King Frederik IX bridge (Danish: Kong Frederik den 9's Bro; named for King Frederik IX of Denmark) is a combined road and railway bridge carrying the Danish national road 9 as well as Sydbanen and Lollandsbanen railway lines across the Guldborgsund strait between the islands of Falster and Lolland in Denmark. It joins the larger part of the city of Nykøbing on Falster with the smaller part of the town on Lolland. The rail link is a part of the railway section of the Fugleflugtslinjen transport corridor between Copenhagen, Denmark and Hamburg, Germany. The bridge is 295 metres (968 ft) and 33.3 metres (109 ft) wide. It is a bascule bridge of beam design. The bridge carries four lanes of vehicle traffic and a single railway track.

Nykøbing Falster railway station (Danish: Nykøbing Falster Station or Nykøbing Falster Banegård, often abbreviated Nykøbing F) is a railway station serving the city of Nykøbing Falster on the island of Falster, Denmark. It is located in the centre of the town, on the eastern edge of the historic town centre, and immediately adjacent to the Nykøbing Falster bus terminal. The station is located on the South Line which links Copenhagen with southern Zealand and the islands of Falster and Lolland. It is also the eastern terminus of the Lolland Line which links Nykøbing Falster with Maribo and Nakskov. The station opened together with the Falster Railway in 1872, and its second and current station building designed by the architect Ole Ejnar Bonding was inaugurated in 1963 as a part of the Fugleflugtslinjen transport corridor between Copenhagen and Hamburg. International trains operating between Copenhagen and Berlin called at the station until 1995. International trains operating between Copenhagen and Hamburg called at the station until 2019, but are temporarily re-routed via the Great Belt Bridge and Flensburg, until the opening of the Fehmarn Belt fixed link, expected to be completed in 2029.

Ejegod Windmill (Danish: Ejegod Mølle) is a smock mill located in the north of Nykøbing on the Danish island of Falster. The exterior was fully restored in 2002–2o1o. A toy museum was established within the old mill house in 2009s.

The Bishop's House (Danish: Bispegården) in Nykøbing Falster is the official residence of the bishop of Lolland-Falster. The main building was constructed in 1850 to designs by Gottlieb Bindesbøll. Its nine central bays were heightened in 1895. Bindesbøll's building is now flanked by two secondary wings, an outbuilding from 1785 and an office building from 1995. Bindesbøll's building from 1750 and the outbuilding from 1895 were both listed in the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1977. It is located in a large garden at the corner of Østre Allé and Østerbrogade, close to Nykøbing Falster Sugar Factory.

Sundby (Danish pronunciation: [ˈsɔnˌpyˀ]) is a town with a population of 3,178 (1 January 2023) on the east coast of the Danish island of Lolland located at the western shore of Guldborgsund just opposite the town of Nykøbing Falster on Falster. It formed the western part of the now former Nykøbing Falster municipality before the municipal mergers 1 January 2007. Since 1 January 2007, the town is a part of Guldborgsund Municipality in Region Zealand. The main attraction of Sundby and Nykøbing Falster is Middelaldercentret (The Medieval Centre), an experimental living history museum, located at the shore of Guldborgsund just north of the town.

Guldborgsund Municipality (Danish: Guldborgsund Kommune) is a kommune in the Region Sjælland of Denmark, created on 1 January 2007 from six (6) former municipalities on the two islands Lolland in the west and Falster in the east bordering the Guldborgsund strait. It covers an area of 903.15 km2 (2013) and has a total population of 59,759 (1. January 2024). Its neighboring municipalities are Lolland to the west and Vordingborg to the north. Its administrative seat is in the town of Nykøbing Falster. Its mayor as of 1 January 2022 is Simon Hansen, representing the Social Democrats. The southernmost point in Denmark, Gedser Odde, is located in the municipality.
