Maize High School

Maize USD 266 is a public unified school district headquartered in Maize, Kansas, United States. The district includes the communities of Maize, some of northwest Wichita, and nearby rural areas.

Maize is a city in Sedgwick County, Kansas, United States, and a suburb of Wichita. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 5,735. The name Maize, derived from a Native American word for "corn", was named because it is located within the Corn Belt.

Maize South High School is a fully accredited public high school in Wichita, Kansas, operated by Maize USD 266 school district, and serves students in grades 9–12. Maize South High School is one of two high schools in the Maize School District. The official school colors are vegas gold, black, and white. Annual enrollment numbers are approximately 1,100 students. Maize South competes as the Mavericks in the 5A classification of the Kansas State High School Activities Association.

KTHR (107.3 FM, "ALT 107.3") is a radio station operating in Wichita, Kansas. The station airs an alternative rock format. Its studios are located on East Douglas Avenue in Downtown Wichita, and the transmitter is located outside Colwich, Kansas.

KRBB (97.9 FM, "B98") is a commercial radio station in Wichita, Kansas. It is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc., and it broadcasts an adult contemporary radio format, switching to Christmas music for much of November and December. KRBB carries several nationally syndicated shows, including "Murphy, Sam and Jodi" in morning drive time, "Delilah" in evenings, and "Ellen K" from KOST in Los Angeles on Saturday mornings. KRBB's studios are located on East Douglas Avenue in Downtown Wichita. KRBB has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts; their transmitter is located outside Colwich, Kansas. KRBB broadcasts using HD Radio technology; its HD2 digital subchannel carries a contemporary hit radio format, known as "Kiss Radio."

Maize Airport (FAA LID: 4KS5, formerly 70K) is a privately owned, former public-use airport located two nautical miles (2.3 mi, 3.7 km) southeast of the central business district of Maize, a city in Sedgwick County, Kansas, United States, northwest of Wichita.

Delano Township is a township in Sedgwick County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2000 United States Census, it had a population of 196.

KSMI-LD, virtual and UHF digital channel 30, is a low-powered Heartland-affiliated television station licensed to Wichita, Kansas, United States. Owned by Get After It Media, it is operated by Great Plains Television Network, LLC under a local marketing agreement (LMA), making it sister to Class A Independent and Cozi TV-affiliated station KAGW-CD (channel 26). The two stations share offices on South Greenwood Street in Wichita; KSMI-LD's transmitter is located in rural northwestern Sedgwick County (north-northeast of Colwich).
