Goshen College

The Mennonite Historical Library (MHL) is considered the world's most prominent and complete collection of resources and artifacts pertaining to Mennonites and related Anabaptist groups. It is housed in the Harold and Wilma Good Library on the campus of Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana. The specialty library was founded in 1906 under the guidance of Harold S. Bender and Ernst Correll. Historian John D. Roth is the current director.

Violett-Martin House and Gardens is a historic home and garden located in Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana. The house was built between 1855 and 1858, and is a two-story, Italianate style red brick dwelling with a hipped roof. It was enlarged in the 1920s. Also on the property are the contributing garage, workhouse, greenhouse built circa 1920 and landscaped grounds with pergola.: 5–9 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Goshen High School is a public high school in Goshen, Indiana, United States. It serves grades 9-12 for Goshen Community Schools.

William N. Violett House, also known as the Jack Dueck Residence, is a historic home located at Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana. It was built about 1854, and is a two-story, T-shaped, Italianate style red brick dwelling. It features cornice brackets, heavy frieze molding, and arched openings.: 2 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Downtown Nappanee Historic District is a national historic district located at Nappanee, Elkhart County, Indiana. The district encompasses 26 contributing buildings in the central business district of Nappanee. It was developed between about 1874 and 1939, and includes notable examples of Italianate and Classical Revival style architecture. Notable buildings include the Bechtel Building (1888), U.S. Post Office, Dietrich Block, Kaufman's Department Store (1902), First National Bank, Yoder's Garage, B&O Depot, Hartman Brothers Building (1881, 1914), and Farmers and Traders Bank (1915).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The district encompasses 751 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in the central business district and surrounding residential sections of Goshen. The town was developed between about 1840 and 1930, and includes notable examples of Italianate and Queen Anne style architecture. Located with in the district are the separately listed Elkhart County Courthouse and Goshen Carnegie Public Library. Other notable buildings include the Kindy Block (1881), Central Block (1882), Spohn Building (1909), Harper Block (1888), Noble Building (c. 1885), Jefferson Theater (1907), General Baptist Church (1859), First Methodist Church (1874), and St. James Episcopal Church (1862).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Goshen ( GOH-shən) is a city in and the county seat of Elkhart County, Indiana, United States. It is the smaller of the two principal cities of the Elkhart–Goshen Metropolitan Statistical Area, which in turn is part of the South Bend–Elkhart–Mishawaka Combined Statistical Area. It is located in the northern part of Indiana near the Michigan border, in a region known as Michiana. Goshen is located 10 miles southeast of Elkhart, 25 miles southeast of South Bend, 120 miles east of Chicago, and 150 miles north of Indianapolis. The population was 34,517 at the 2020 census.The city is known as an extremely prominent recreational vehicle and accessories manufacturing center, the home of Goshen College, a small Mennonite liberal arts college, and the Elkhart County 4-H Fair, one of the largest county fairs in the United States.

Goshen Carnegie Public Library, also known as the Goshen Public Library, is a historic Carnegie library located at Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana. It was built in 1901, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, Beaux-Arts style building clad in Bedford limestone. It has a red tile roof and projecting entrance pavilion with two Tuscan order columns. Its construction was funded with $25,000 provided by the Carnegie Foundation.: 2–3 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.The building today houses the Goshen City Hall. The current Goshen Public Library is located at 601 South 5th Street.
