Skogsön

Hästholmen is an island in the Stockholm archipelago in Sweden. Skogsön island lies to its north-west, Tynningö island to its south-west, and the Oxdjupet strait to its east. Administratively, it is in Vaxholm Municipality and Stockholm County.Hästholmen has no road connection to the mainland or other islands. It is served from spring to autumn by passenger ships of the Waxholmsbolaget, providing a connection to Vaxholm town and Stockholm city, but there is no service in winter.This island should not be mistaken for the double-island of Stegesund-Hästholmen, also in Vaxholm Municipality, but situated some 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) to the north-west.

The Vaxholm Coastal Artillery Regiment (Swedish: Vaxholms kustartilleriregemente), designation KA 1, was a Swedish Navy coastal artillery regiment of the Swedish Armed Forces which operated between 1902 and 2000. The unit was based at Rindö in the Stockholm archipelago in Uppland.

Norra Lagnö is a locality situated on a peninsular on the northern shore of the island of Värmdö in Sweden's Stockholm archipelago. From an administrative perspective, it is located in Värmdö Municipality and Stockholm County, and has 332 inhabitants as of 2010.Norra Lagnö is the southern terminal of the Tynningöleden vehicle ferry route to the island of Tynningö, operated by Trafikverket, and is also a calling point for the passenger ferries of the Waxholmbolaget on its routes from the city of Stockholm to the central part of the Stockholm archipelago. Buses of Storstockholms Lokaltrafik also link Norra Lagnö with central Stockholm, operating via the Skurubron bridge that links Värmdö to the mainland.

Ramsö is an island in the Stockholm archipelago in Sweden. Rindö island lies to its north, Tynningö island to its south-west, Skogsön island to its south-east, and the Oxdjupet strait to its east. Administratively, it is in Vaxholm Municipality and Stockholm County. The island consists of three parts: Ramsö itself, Ramsöholm and Ramsöberg. Ramsöholm was separate from Ramsö until the 18th century, but is now joined to the rest of the island after the channel between the two was infilled. Ramsöberg began to be built up in the 1960s.Ramsö has no road connection to the mainland or other islands. It is served throughout the year by passenger ships of the Waxholmsbolaget, which call at the Ramsö pier and/or the Ramsöberg pier, providing a connection to Vaxholm town and Stockholm city.The island is the home to three shipyards: Ramsövarvet, Abrahamsson and Börjesson's shipyard and Blomberg's shipyard.

Rindö is an urban area situated on the island of Rindö in Vaxholm Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden. Until 2015 it was known as Oskar-Fredriksborg, a name it took from the nearby Oskar-Fredriksborg Fortress.In 2020, the urban area had an area of 186 hectares (460 acres) and a population of 1,390.

Risholmen is an island in the Stockholm archipelago in Sweden. It is situated in Värmdö Municipality and Stockholm County.This island should not be mistaken for another island of the same name, situated some 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) to the north-west in Vaxholm Municipality.

Rindö is an island in the central area of Sweden's Stockholm Archipelago, some 21 kilometres (13 mi) north-east of the city of Stockholm. From an administrative perspective, it is located in Vaxholm Municipality and Stockholm County. The island is about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) long and 1.2 kilometres (0.75 mi) wide and has an area of 4.46 square kilometres (1.72 sq mi). There are two localities on the island, Rindö (formerly known as Oskar-Fredriksborg) and Rindöby.The island is connected to Vaxholm town by the Vaxholmsleden car ferry at its western end, and to Värmdö island by the Oxdjupsleden car ferry at its eastern end. County road 274 connects the two, as does Storstockholms Lokaltrafik bus route 688, with some buses crossing on the ferry to Vaxholm. There is a bridge connection to the smaller adjacent Skarpö island.Situated between the two main shipping routes from the open sea into Stockholm, the Kodjupet strait to the west and the Oxdjupet strait to the east, Rindö has long been an important defensive site. Whilst the Kodjupet strait was principally protected by the Vaxholm Fortress built on an islet within the channel, it was also defended by the Rindö redount on Rindö. At the other end of the island, the Byviksfortet and the Oskar-Fredriksborg Fortress protected the Oxdjupet strait.

Tynningö is an island in the central area of Sweden's Stockholm Archipelago. From an administrative perspective, it is located in Vaxholm Municipality and Stockholm County. As of 2015, the island has 380 permanent inhabitants, although this population increases significantly in summer.Tynningö is linked to the city of Stockholm and the town of Vaxholm by passenger ferries of the Waxholmbolaget, which serve a number of jetties on the island. It is also linked to Norra Lagnö on the island of Värmdö by the Tynningöleden vehicle ferry route, operated by Trafikverket, which gives road access via the Skurubron bridge to the mainland. Storstockholms Lokaltrafik provides an internal bus service on the island.

Ösbyträsk Nature Reserve (Swedish: Ösbyträsks naturreservat) is a nature reserve in Stockholm County in Sweden. The nature reserve has been created to protect the lake Ösbyträsk and the surrounding area. The nature is varied and the area also has a rich cultural heritage. A 4.5 km (2.8 mi) long track for visitors goes around the lake.

Gustavsberg is a locality situated on the island of Värmdö in Sweden's Stockholm archipelago. From an administrative perspective, it is in Stockholm County and is the seat of Värmdö Municipality. It has 11,333 inhabitants as of 2010. It is most known for its porcelain factory, Gustavsberg porcelain, and toilet bowls distributed nationwide and internationally.

Värmdö Municipality (Värmdö kommun) is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden. Its seat is in the town of Gustavsberg, with a population of 9,682 (2005), on the main island at an elevation of 37 metres (121 ft). The municipality is named after the main island Värmdön, 180 km2 (69 sq mi) in size. The municipality in its present form was created in 1974, when "old" Värmdö was amalgamated with Gustavsberg (which had been detached from it in 1902) and Djurö.

Skarpö is an urban area comprising the southern and western half of the island of Skarpö in Vaxholm Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden.In 2020, the urban area had an area of 103 hectares (250 acres) and a population of 257.
