Nelscott Reef is an ocean reef near Lincoln City, Oregon, United States, that creates a reef break (a surf-break created by the presence of a rock or coral reef) that is known as the only place on the Oregon Coast with the right conditions for big wave surfing. It is named for the former community of Nelscott, which is now a part of Lincoln City. It is the venue of the Nelscott Reef Big Wave Classic held annually by local surfer John Forse, who founded the event in 2005.

Whale watching guide volunteers are present one week in January and one in March to help visitors see and understand the whale migration.The area of ocean where the D River enters the sea creates consistent year-round surfing conditions suitable for intermediate skills.Like many Oregon coast locations, flocks of seagulls are frequently present in winter. The most common species are western gull, glaucous-winged gull, and California gull. Occasionally Thayer's gull and American herring gull are observed here.

Devils Lake State Recreation Area (also Devils Lake State Park) is a state park in the U.S. state of Oregon, administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department. It is the only coastal Oregon State park with a campground located in a city. The campground area is located at the southwest shore of Devils Lake in Lincoln City, and the day use area is on the south shore. The park provides kayaks for those participating in summer guided kayak wildlife tours.Activities include camping (RV, tent, yurt, and biker), boat, water skiing, swimming, and personal watercraft.

Richard Swanson was a 42-year-old American man who tried to dribble a soccer ball from the U.S. city of Seattle, Washington, to São Paulo, Brazil. On May 14, 2013, he died after being hit by a pickup truck alongside U.S. Route 101 just outside Lincoln City, Oregon, 270 miles into his planned journey of roughly 10,000 miles. The driver of the truck was tried twice for negligent homicide, the first trial resulting in a hung jury and the second in an acquittal. Swanson's journey, dubbed Breakaway Brazil, was an ambitious effort that would have taken him through 11 countries over the course of 407 days, through severe conditions and high-crime areas. Robert Andrew Powell of Grantland, in a posthumous profile of Swanson, concluded it was very unlikely he would have succeeded. Swanson live-blogged the effort on social media, and received material support along his route from fans, including people who recognized him on the side of the road. Reflections upon his death focused on his advocacy for One World Futbol—the type of soccer ball he dribbled—and on his having found purpose, as a middle-aged, recently laid-off divorcé, in the fanbase he amassed.

The casino's amenities include a 227-room hotel, a 157,000-square-foot (14,600 m2) gaming floor (between two floors), two restaurants (with a 24-hour food counter), a 35,000-square-foot (3,300 m2) convention center, arcade, day-care services, live entertainment, a golf course and other special events. The casino typically operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It opened to the public at limited capacity on January 15, 2021, after closing for the COVID-19 pandemic.

At 120 feet (37 m), it is the world's shortest river, but for a definition of river that excludes estuaries . According to Oregon Geographic Names, the name derives from a Native American legend. In the legend, a giant fish, giant octopus, or other large marine creature would occasionally surface, much to the dismay of anyone fishing in the vicinity. The lake is managed by the Devils Lake Water Improvement District. The Preservation Association of Devils Lake (PADL) was founded in 1982. According to the organization's website, its mission is: To correct, protect and preserve the water resources and other natural assets of Devils Lake from misuse and pollution. To encourage the improvement of the overall environmental and economic use of the lake as a recreational, scenic asset for all time to the entire Lincoln City area.

Drift Creek is a tributary, about 18 miles (29 km) long, of Siletz Bay in the U.S. state of Oregon. The creek begins near Stott Mountain in the Central Oregon Coast Range in Lincoln County and follows a winding course generally west through the Siuslaw National Forest to enter the bay south of Lincoln City on the Pacific Ocean. It passes under U.S. Route 101 just before reaching the bay.Named tributaries of Drift Creek from source to mouth are Nelson, Fowler, Barn, Smith, Sampson, Wildcat, and North creeks.
