The Bolles School is an American private college preparatory day and boarding school in Jacksonville, Florida. It has a lower school (including pre-kindergarten), a middle school, and a high school, spread across four campuses around the Jacksonville area, and enrolls about 1,800 students a year. The school was founded in 1933 as an all-boys military academy. It dropped its military focus in 1962 and became coeducational in 1971. Its athletics programs have been recognized as some of the best in the Florida High School Athletic Association by Sports Illustrated magazine.

San Jose Episcopal Church is an historic Episcopal church located at 7423 San Jose Boulevard, in the San Jose section of Jacksonville, Florida in the United States. It was built in 1925 as the San Jose Estates Administration Building. On April 10, 1985. it was added to the National Register of Historic Places as the San Jose Administration Building.

Samuel W. Wolfson High School (or simply Wolfson) is a magnet high school located in the Duval County Public School district. As an academic magnet and college preparatory school, Wolfson specializes in Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses. In addition to its academic focus, Samuel Wolfson School for Advanced Studies has a athletics program, a program for visual and performing arts, and a JROTC program. Its name is derived from Samuel W. Wolfson, a local businessman whose family was prominent in Jacksonville, Wolfson houses the Finance, Law, and Business magnet program. A VyStar Credit Union branch is located inside the school, and is available for students and faculty to use. Wolfson is a member of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The school's main rival is the Englewood Rams.

WCGL (1360 AM) is a commercial radio station broadcasting an urban gospel radio format. Licensed to Jacksonville, Florida, United States, the station is owned by JBD Communications, Inc. The station airs contemporary gospel music and some preaching programs, aimed at the African-American community. It uses the moniker "The Victory Station". WCGL transmits with 5,000 watts by day, but to avoid interfering with other radio stations on AM 1360, WCGL reduces power at night to 89 watts. Listeners in Jacksonville and adjacent communities can hear WCGL programming on an FM translator station, 94.7 W234CW.

All Saints Episcopal Church is an Episcopal church and parish in the San Marco district of Jacksonville, Florida. The parish is in the Episcopal Diocese of Florida. The congregation marked its quasquicentennial on All Saints Sunday, November 7, 2010.

Webber Institute for Worship Studies (IWS) is a multi-denominational graduate theological school (emphasizing worship theology) which employs a hybrid course delivery system combining intensive on-campus pedagogy and distance learning methods. Miami Air International Flight 293 was a military charter from Guantanamo Bay to Naval Air Station Jacksonville, operated by Miami Air International. On May 3, 2019, the Boeing 737-800 aircraft operating the flight overran the runway on landing. Twenty-one people were injured. The aircraft was written off, making it the 17th loss of a Boeing 737-800. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) attributed the accident to hydroplaning caused by heavy rainfall on the ungrooved runway; although the pilots were found to have made a series of errors during final approach and landing, the NTSB concluded that these errors had little effect on the final outcome, as the aircraft would have been unable to stop even if the landing had been executed properly.

Congregation Ahavath Chesed is a Reform Jewish synagogue in Jacksonville, Florida. It is the oldest Jewish congregation in Florida and one of the first formally incorporated.

The Red Bank Plantation House is a historic former plantation house in Jacksonville, Florida. Built in 1854 as the main house for the Red Bank plantation, it is now a private residence within the Colonial Manor area of Jacksonville's San Marco neighborhood. It is located at 1230 Greenridge Road, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 18, 1972.

The cape of Point La Vista ("The Cape") is a bluff in Duval County, located on the eastern bank of the St. Johns River, three miles south of downtown Jacksonville, Florida. It is also the name of one of the subdivisions on the cape. This residential community of single-family homes was created during suburban expansion from the mid-1920's through the 1980s on one of the city's most geographically distinct riverfront locations. The historical boundaries of the cape of Point La Vista date from land grants of the Second Spanish Era (1783-1821). The modern half-loop road of San Jose Blvd. splits off of Hendricks Avenue just after River Oaks Park, the old Oriental Gardens, at Southside United Methodist Church and hugs the pedestrian-friendly contours of the cape for nearly two miles, ending at the Miramar Center, a shopping plaza. The portion of the cape within the old Jacksonville city limits of 1937 overlaps the traditional southern boundary of the San Marco neighborhood. Many places in Duval County are named for families who once owned property at the cape, such as Bowden Road, Shad Road, Sanchez Road, Hendricks Avenue, Philips Highway, and the Hart Bridge.
