Chuckatuck Historic District is a national historic district located at Chuckatuck, Suffolk, Virginia. The district encompasses 51 contributing buildings and 2 contributing structures in the crossroads community of Chuckatuck in Suffolk. The district includes dwellings in a variety of popular 19th and early-20th century architectural styles including Federal, Queen Anne, and Bungalow. Notable buildings include the Saunders House (1780-1820), Howell House, Cannon House, Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church (1893), W. C. Moore House, and the Gwaltney Store. Located in the district is the separately listed Godwin–Knight House.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Godwin–Knight House is a historic home located at Chuckatuck, Virginia. It was built in 1856, in the Federal style, then elaborately remodeled about 1898 in the Queen Anne style. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, three-bay, double-pile side-hall-plan frame dwelling. hipped roof front porch. It features a wraparound porch and a corner tower with conical roof. Also on the property are the contributing summer kitchen, smokehouse, woodshed / Delco house, two chicken house, a garage, and a barn / stable. It was the boyhood home of Virginia Governor Mills E. Godwin, Jr.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. It is located in the Chuckatuck Historic District.

Phillips Farm, also known as Percy-Pitt Farm, is a historic home located at Suffolk, Virginia. The farm house was built about 1820, and is a 30-feet square, 1+1⁄2-story, frame house. It has an English basement, gable roof, and features clerestory dormer windows. In 1848, a 13 feet by 30 feet addition was added to the west of the original structure. It is one of a few regional examples of a building commonly called a clerestory house or a clerestory dormer house.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

St. John's Church, also known as Chuckatuck Church is a historic Episcopal church located near Chuckatuck. Constructed in 1755, St. John's is the third church to occupy the site in a parish which was established in 1642. St. John's Church preserves an important role in the religious history of seventeenth century Virginia and as an architectural example of the evolving preferences of the Episcopal Church in the nineteenth century. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Kings Highway Bridge was located on the Nansemond River in the independent city of Suffolk, Virginia, United States. Built in 1928, it carried traffic on the Kings Highway, also known as State Route 125, for over 75 years. The drawbridge was deemed unsafe and closed to traffic in March 2005 by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). In March 2007, VDOT announced that the bridge would be demolished and removed, with no plans for replacement, and demolition began in June. In 2008, several boats struck debris from the old bridge.About 3,300 motorists a day used the bridge that connected Chuckatuck and Driver. Now, they face detours of as much as 19 miles. The cost of a new bridge for the King's Highway crossing was estimated at $48 million in 2006, far more than could be recovered through collection of tolls at that location.

The Nansemond National Wildlife Refuge is a National Wildlife Refuge of the United States located along the Nansemond River in Suffolk, Virginia. It is managed by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service as a satellite of Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. In 1973 about 207 acres (0.84 km2) of salt marsh were transferred to the Service by the United States Navy to form the refuge. An additional 204 acres (0.83 km2) were transferred in 1999. The refuge is not open to the public.

Bay Point Farm, also known as the Bay Point Dairy Farm, the Obici House, and Sleepy Hole Golf Course, is a historic home and dairy farm located at Suffolk, Virginia. The main house is an irregularly planned Italian Renaissance style house overlooking the Nansemond River. It is a two-story, single-family dwelling, with the original section dated to about 1870. The two end blocks were added in 1925 and have hipped roofs. Associated with the house are the garage, a silo, storage building, large farm building, and small shed. Bay Point Farm was the home of Amedeo Obici, the Planters Nut and Chocolate Company founder. Obici purchased Bay Point Farm in 1924 and remained in Suffolk at Bay Point Farm until his death in 1947.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Hobson is in the independent city of Suffolk, Virginia, United States. It is located along State Route 628 southwest of U.S. Route 17, on the neck between Chuckatuck Creek and the Nansemond River.

Benns Church is a census-designated place (CDP) in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, United States. It is located at the junction of U.S. Route 258 and State Routes 10 and 32, southeast of Smithfield. The population as of the 2010 census was 872.The community is named for Benn's United Methodist Church, which lies at the intersection of Benn's Church Boulevard and Brewer's Neck Boulevard (US-258 with State Routes 10 and 32). The church was founded at that location by George Benn in 1789. Benn is buried in front of the church. The church bears a Virginia Historical Marker. Benns Church is home to Benn's Grant, a 253-acre (102 ha) mixed-use development, which took almost a decade to be realized.

King's Fork High School is located in Suffolk, Virginia. It is administered by Suffolk City Public Schools. The school colors are maroon and Vegas gold, and the official mascot is the Bulldog. King's Fork was founded in 2003, and was designed by the architectural firm of Ripley Rodriguez Maddox Motley. It was commissioned by Suffolk City Public Schools due to a widespread economic expansion in sprawl in the western Hampton Roads area. Due to rezoning, students at King's Fork High are drawn from the Northwestern quadrants of the city, including the King's Fork area, Crittenden, and Hobson. Students are also drawn from the southern Nansemond Parkway/Wilroy Road area, and shares Downtown neighborhoods with Lakeland High School.

St. Luke's Church, also known as Old Brick Church, or Newport Parish Church, is a historic church building, located in the unincorporated community of Benns Church, near Smithfield in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, United States. It is the oldest church in Virginia and oldest church in British North America of brick construction. According to local tradition the structure was built in 1632, but other evidence points to a date of 1682; see Dating controversy. On October 15, 1966, St. Luke's was designated a National Historic Landmark and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in recognition of its historic and architectural distinction. In 1957 President Dwight D. Eisenhower designated the site a National Shrine in concert with the 350th anniversary of Jamestown. Since 1954 Historic St. Luke's Restoration, doing business as Historic St. Luke's Church, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that maintains, preserves, promotes, and interprets the 17th-century, 100-acre historic site. Historic St. Luke's does not receive any federal, state, or municipal funding. All funding comes from private corporations, foundations, and individuals.

Wat Pasantidhamma (Thai: วัดป่าสันติธรรม, or "Wat Pa"), meaning "a peaceful temple in the woods", is a Thai Theravada Buddhist temple located at 14289 Chapmans Lane in rural Carrollton, Virginia. It is a non-profit religious organization serving the Thai and Thai American communities. Established as the first Buddhist temple in the Tidewater (southeastern) region of Virginia in 1998, it remains as of 2010 one of three in the State.
