The Egmont museum (Dutch: Egmontkamer) is a museum about Lamoral, Count of Egmont in the former town hall of Zottegem in Belgium.The museum was opened in 2018 for the commemoration of the 450th anniversary of the beheading of Lamoral on Grand-Place/Grote Markt in Brussels in 1568. It showcases different historical Egmont items such as paintings, etchings, coins and floor tiling from Egmont's castle. Furthermore, several objects from Egmont's crypt are shown, such as the 16th-century burial plaque of his wife Sabina, the plaque dating from the rediscovery of the crypt in 1804, the embalmed hearts of Lamoral and his sons Charles and Philip and 3D prints of Egmont's and Sabina's skulls.Since 1984 the former town hall also houses a shrine containing the cleft cervical vertebra of Lamoral. Two Egmont paintings are on display: Last honours to Egmont and Horne (1882) by Louis Gallait en Egmond castle in Egmond aan den Hoef (around 1570) by Dutch master Gillis De Saen.

Godveerdegem is a village belonging to the municipality of Zottegem. It is located on the Molenbeek-Ter Erpenbeek in the Denderstreek and in the Flemish Ardennes, the hilly southern part of the province of East Flanders, Belgium. The Molenbeek-Ter Erpenbeek has its source in Godveerdegem.

Zottegem (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzɔtəɣɛm], Sotteghem and Sottegem in older English and French language sources) is a municipality located in Belgium and more particularly in Flanders, in the province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the town of Zottegem proper and the villages of Elene, Erwetegem, Godveerdegem, Grotenberge, Leeuwergem, Oombergen, Sint-Goriks-Oudenhove, Sint-Maria-Oudenhove, Strijpen and Velzeke-Ruddershove. On 1 January 2018, Zottegem had a total population of 26,373. The total area is 56.66 km2 which gives a population density of 470 inhabitants per km2. Zottegem is part of the hilly geographical area of the Flemish Ardennes (Vlaamse Ardennen); the hills and cobblestone streets (Paddestraat) are regular locations in the springtime cycle classics of Flanders. The city is known for its ties with Lamoral, Count of Egmont; Lamoral has a castle (Egmontkasteel), a museum (Egmontkamer) and two statues in the centre of Zottegem. He is buried in a crypt (Egmontcrypte) under the church. Leeuwergem castle in Elene is an 18th-century stately home; Breivelde castle in Grotenberge is surrounded by an English landscape garden. The archaeological museum in Velzeke exhibits findings from Gallo-Roman culture.

Leeuwergem is a village belonging to the municipality of Zottegem. It is located on the Molenbeek, in the Denderstreek and Flemish Ardennes, which is part of the hilly southern part of the East Flanders province, Belgium. Leeuwergem used to be part of the heerlijkheid of Zottegem. From 1271 onwards, it formed a heerlijkheid with Massemen. It was an independent municipality until 1970, when it was merged into Zottegem.Leeuwergem and the neighbouring village of Elene host the 18th century Leeuwergem Castle domain, a private estate of 32 hectares.

Erwetegem is a village and deelgemeente (sub-municipality) belonging to the municipality of Zottegem. It is located in the Denderstreek and in the Flemish Ardennes, the hilly southern part of the province of East Flanders, Belgium. Erwetegem used to an independent municipality until 1970.

Rock Zottegem is a music festival organized annually in Zottegem, Belgium.The first edition took place in 1994. Through the years, it evaluated from a small free event in the city center of Zottegem to a mid-size festival outside the center. Since 2005, the format changed to a two-day (and occasionally three-day) festival, hosting up to 30,000 visitors.International artists like James Brown, Iggy Pop, Toto, ZZ Top, Elvis Costello and Deep Purple headlined Rock Zottegem.

The Windmill of Elene is a former windmill in Elene, Zottegem, Belgium.The mill was built in 1762, following permission granted by Empress Maria-Theresa to Pieter Emanuel Joseph d'Hane. In the following centuries, it was owned by the heirs of the d'Hane de Steenhuyze family from Ghent.The mill was damaged during World War I. Attempts to repair the mill stopped in 1923. It has not been operational since then. In 1979, the mill was protected as a monument. In 1984, urgent conservation repairs were carried out. Despite this, the windmill is in a state of decay.

Breivelde Castle (Dutch: Kasteel (van) Breivelde) and the surrounding park Breivelde estate (Domein Breivelde) is a castle in Grotenberge, Zottegem in Belgium. Breivelde castle was built in Renaissance Revival architecture in 1904 by owner Philippe Plancqaert van Exen van Beauvechain, replacing a mansion erected in 1871 by former owner August De Rouck. It is surrounded by a public English landscape garden containing ponds, cascades and exotic trees. The imitation river bend (created around 1852) mirrors the castle in its waters. Since 1971 the domain is open to the public. The castle underwent several restorations; a new restoration phase started after 2021. It is a heritage monument landscape since 1982.

Grotenberge is a village belonging to the municipality of Zottegem. It is located on the Molenbeek and the Molenbeek-Ter Erpenbeek within the Denderstreek and the Flemish Ardennes, the hilly southern part of the East Flanders province, Belgium. Grotenberge is known for the Domain of Breivelde, a 19th-century large garden, turned into a romantic style park with an arboretum. The park also hosts a castle. Construction started in 1830, the current state dates from around 1879. In 1970, the domain was bought by the city of Zottegem, and has received a protected state in 1982.The village was first mentioned as Grothemberge in 1235. It became an independent municipality in the 18th century, but merged into Zottegem in 1970. The former muncipality covered an area of 4.66 square kilometres (1.80 sq mi).

Leeuwergem Castle (Dutch: Kasteel van Leeuwergem) is a stately home in the village of Elene in the municipality of Zottegem, East Flanders, Belgium.

Velzeke-Ruddershove is a double village in the Denderstreek in the province of East Flanders in Belgium, currently part of the municipality of Zottegem. The two villages of Velzeke and Ruddershove were merged in 1825. The settlement of Velzeke dates back from at least the Roman era, when it was a vicus situated at a crossroads in the network of Roman roads in Gallia Belgica. The municipality merged into Zottegem in 1970.
