Scarborough railway station is a heritage-listed railway station on the South Coast railway line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the seaside village of Scarborough. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Clifton is a village on the coast of New South Wales, Australia, between Sydney and Wollongong. Along with nearby Coalcliff, the village began life as a coal-mining centre. It is situated on a narrow area between the sea and the Illawarra escarpment. The electrified South Coast railway line passes through, but the station at Clifton was closed in 1915. It reopened on 1934-07-04 and closed for the last time on 1983-11-27, at the time of double tracking and electrification. The Sea Cliff Bridge, opened in 2005, restored the connection between Clifton and Coalcliff, broken by frequent rock falls onto this section of the Lawrence Hargrave Drive. The bridge lies parallel to the former "coal cliffs" and offers scenic views of the cliffs, the sea, and surrounding coastline.

The Sea Cliff Bridge, together with the adjoining Lawrence Hargrave Drive Bridge, are two road bridges that carry the scenic Lawrence Hargrave Drive across the rockface on the Illawarra escarpment, located in the northern Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. The balanced cantilever and incremental launching girder bridges link the coastal villages of Coalcliff and Clifton and carry two lanes of traffic, and a pedestrian walkway. The Sea Cliff Bridge was named by Makenzie Russell, who at the time was an eleven-year-old student, following a naming competition opened to local primary school students. The Lawrence Hargrave Drive Bridge and the Lawrence Hargrave Drive are named in honour of Lawrence Hargrave, an Australian engineer, explorer, astronomer, inventor and aeronautical pioneer.

Coledale railway station is located on the South Coast railway line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the seaside village of Coledale opening in July 1902. The station building was built in 1915 when the line was duplicated.

The Illawarra Escarpment State Conservation Area is a protected area located west of Wollongong in eastern Australia. The conservation area is a popular location for recreation, including bush walking, scenic viewing, picnicking, camping, bird watching, rock climbing and horse riding. The park comprises six separate sections extending over 40 kilometres, from Stanwell Park in the north to Horsely in the south.The 30-million-year-old site was inhabited by the Wodi Wodi for 20,000 years, and some of the summits in the region are of spiritual significance for the local Aboriginal people. It also has many colonial roads which were built by Surveyor-General Thomas Mitchell and convicts during 1834.

The Stanwell Creek railway viaduct is a heritage-listed railway bridge on the Illawarra railway line at Stanwell Park, City of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by the New South Wales Government Railways and built in 1920 by day labour. The property is owned by Transport Asset Holding Entity, an agency of the Government of New South Wales. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Sublime Point is a feature of the Illawarra Escarpment west of Austinmer in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. It is a summit (415m elevation) on the plateau edge where the escarpment turns to go in a more northerly direction from a more northeasterly direction. The surrounding parkland area was proclaimed in 1925 as Lady Fuller Park by the New South Wales Government.The summit has a cafe and lookout and is visited regularly. Sublime Point Lookout may be reached by road from the Princes Highway above Austinmer, or by a walking track from Austinmer and Thirroul. The name also applies to several less well known geographical features in Australia, including one in the Blue Mountains, and several places across the world.

Austinmer () is a northern village of Wollongong on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia. It sits in the northern Illawarra region, south of Stanwell Park and immediately north of Thirroul. The town's main beach is Austinmer Beach, a patrolled surf beach and a popular tourist beach. A second smaller and unpatrolled beach lies directly to the north of Austinmer beach. It is called Little Austinmer Beach, known locally as 'dog beach', as it is a popular off-leash zone for dog walking. The main road through the town is Lawrence Hargrave Drive, which connects with the Princes Highway at Bulli Pass. Moore Street connects Austinmer railway station to Lawrence Hargrave Drive, and, along with a short stretch along Lawrence Hargrave Drive, constitutes Austinmer's commercial presence, as well as a police station, school, churches, and veterinary clinic. The Headland Hotel to the north of Austinmer Beach was featured in the 2005 to 2006 television series headLand. It is served by Austinmer railway station on the South Coast railway line which runs electric double deck train services to Sydney and Wollongong.
