Subaru of America, Inc. (commonly known as SOA), based in Camden, New Jersey, is the United States-based distributor of Subaru's brand vehicles. SOA is a subsidiary of Subaru Corporation of Japan. The company markets and distributes Subaru vehicles, parts and accessories through a network of more than 600 dealers throughout the United States. SOA also plays a minor role in the design of vehicles for the U.S. market, working with Subaru Corporation and Subaru Research and Development to help convey American consumer preferences. In 1967, Malcolm Bricklin approached Subaru with the idea of bringing the tiny Subaru 360 to the United States. After a great deal of regulatory red tape and negotiation, Bricklin made a deal with Subaru. Bricklin formed Subaru of America, Inc. to sell Subaru franchises and later brought in Harvey Lamm as the COO. Subaru of America established the Eastern Division in 1968 in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania at 555 City Line Avenue, and the Western Division at 1000 West Coast Hwy, Newport Beach, California. The headquarters later moved to Pennsauken, New Jersey and then Cherry Hill, New Jersey. In 1986, it was fully acquired by Fuji Heavy Industries (now named Subaru Corporation). In 1989, Fuji Heavy Industries and then-partner Isuzu opened a joint factory in Lafayette, Indiana, called Subaru-Isuzu Automotive, Inc., or SIA, which initially manufactured the Subaru Legacy and Isuzu Rodeo. In 2001, Isuzu sold its stake in the plant to FHI for $1 due to flagging sales and it was renamed Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. SIA has been designated a backyard wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation, and has achieved a zero-landfill production designation. SOA is SIA's largest customer, being the sole distributor in the United States for SIA produced vehicles, although SIA also ships vehicles to Canada and various other countries for sale by other Subaru Affiliates and independent distributors. SOA also utilizes SIA's two mile test track and off-road course for dealer incentive programs and training. Subaru built a new 250,000 square foot headquarters in Camden, New Jersey and relocated there in 2018. In May 2019 demolition started on the previous Subaru building in Cherry Hill.In the United States, Subaru vehicles have been associated with being popular with lesbians. This comes from Subaru of America's marketing strategy from 1993, at a time when very few celebrities were out as LGBT and "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and Defense of Marriage Act had just passed. Subaru was at the time marketing more towards niche groups such as skiers and kayakers. As all-wheel drive was becoming standard on all Subaru models, when looking for people willing to pay a premium for all-wheel drive, four possible core groups were identified, who at the time were responsible for half of Subaru's US sales: teachers and educators, health-care professionals, IT professionals, and outdoorsy types. A fifth group was found - single women living in places like Northampton, Massachusetts and Portland, Oregon, well known meccas of LGBT community. The lesbian Subaru customers liked that the cars were "good for outdoor trips, and good for hauling stuff without being as large as a truck or SUV, fitting them without being too flashy". Some Subaru ads for that reason have featured double entendres with LGBT-related terms. In addition, Subaru of America has actively supported the LGBT community, such as supporting the Rainbow Card providing dedicated benefits to the community, and has been credited with treating its LGBT customers as "people, not consumers". In a Car Talk e-mail nominations survey, Forester and Outback were ranked as #2 and #1, respectively, of "The Ultimate Lesbian Cars".

The Latin Casino was a Philadelphia-area nightclub that first opened in 1944 as the "Latin" located at 1309 Walnut Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Many top entertainers performed at the Latin including Harry Belafonte, Jimmy Durante, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, Richard Pryor, Jerry Lewis, Milton Berle, Lena Horne, Pearl Bailey, Louis Armstrong, Lionel Hampton, Jack Jones, and Joey Bishop. The Latin was a very popular Center City nightclub for a decade. In 1960, owners Stanley and Bea Carroll (of "Carroll's"), David Dushoff, and Daniel "Dallas" Gerson relocated the nightclub to 2235 Route 70 in nearby Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and built a plush 1,500-seat, Vegas-style dinner theater renamed from the "Latin" to the "Latin Casino", although casino gambling was not included. It was considered one of the fanciest, hippest dinner nightclub experiences of that time featuring dinner, drinks and a showcase of top entertainment, and was called "The Showplace of the Stars".

Cherry Hill station is a NJ Transit train station in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, United States, on the Atlantic City Line. Eastbound service is offered to Atlantic City and Westbound service is offered to Philadelphia. The station runs through the former Garden State Racetrack property, currently occupied by two separate shopping centers. The station is accessible directly from Route 70 (Marlton Pike). There is also an NJT 450 bus connection at the station, and the 406 bus on Route 70. Cherry Hill station opened on July 2, 1994. It replaced Lindenwold station as a stop on the Amtrak Atlantic City Express until the train's April 2, 1995 discontinuance.Cherry Hill station is much less used than Woodcrest station on the PATCO Lindenwold Line, also in Cherry Hill.

Bishop Eustace Preparatory School is a Catholic coeducational, private high school in Pennsauken Township, New Jersey. Founded in 1954 by the priests and brothers of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate (The Pallottines), the school operates under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Camden, was named after Bishop Bartholomew J. Eustace, first bishop of the diocese. The school is a coeducational institution (prior to 1972, it was all-male) serving students in ninth through twelfth grades. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1977 and is accredited through July 2023.As of the 2017–18 school year, the school had an enrollment of 582 students and 49 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.9:1. The school's student body was 89.3% (520) White, 4.8% (28) Asian, 3.4% (20) Black, 2.2% (13) Hispanic and 0.2% (1) Native Hawaiian / Pacific Islander.The school is a member of the Association of Delaware Valley Independent Schools.

Camden Catholic High School (CCHS) is a four-year comprehensive private coeducational Roman Catholic high school, located in the Philadelphia metropolitan area in Cherry Hill, Camden County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The school operates under the supervision of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Camden. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1934. Camden Catholic students come from the local area and from Norway, Nigeria, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Vietnam, Korea, and China. Many of these students live on campus in the Nazareth House, a convent re-purposed to accommodate foreign students with full-time care-providers on staff, while others live with host families in the surrounding area. As of the 2019–20 school year, the school had an enrollment of 695 students and 54.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.8:1. The school's student body was 63.5% (441) White, 13.5% (94) Hispanic, 11.1% (77) Black, 8.6% (60) Asian, 3.2% (22) two or more races and 0.1% (1) Native Hawaiian/ Pacific Islander.

The Courier-Post is a morning daily newspaper that serves South Jersey in the Delaware Valley. It is based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and serves most of Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties. The paper has 30,313 daily paid subscribers and 41,078 on Sunday.As the fifth-largest newspaper published in New Jersey, the Courier-Post's main competitors are The Philadelphia Inquirer across the Delaware River in Pennsylvania, and the Burlington County Times and South Jersey Times in South Jersey.Established in 1875, the Post moved to Camden in 1879. It merged with The Telegram in 1899 to become The Post & Telegram. In 1926, The Post & Telegram and the Camden Courier consolidated under owner J. David Stern.The merged paper was bought by the Gannett newspaper chain in 1959.

Area code 856 is a telephone area code in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) for the southwestern part of the U.S. state of New Jersey. The numbering plan area (NPA) includes the Camden, Cherry Hill, and Vineland areas and a small part of Willingboro Township and the western part of Burlington County. 856 is essentially coextensive with the New Jersey side of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The area code was created in 1999 in a split of area code 609.

The Rickshaw Inn was a 180-room hotel with a gold-plated roof, which was situated on Route 70 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, opposite Garden State Park and adjacent to the Latin Casino, a popular nightclub which had relocated from Philadelphia to nearby Cherry Hill a few years earlier. Frank Sinatra and his Rat Pack entourage, Don Rickles, Steve and Eydie, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross and other notable acts performed at The Latin, and stayed and drank at The Rickshaw. The hotel was built in 1964. The celebrities, musicians and their hangers-on from "The Latin" often drank in the lobby bar. The luxury cars of politicians, celebrities and businessmen were parked up front under the Rickshaw's covered entryway. At the time, it was the most luxurious inn and restaurant in the local area.The gold-roofed pagoda atop the Rickshaw Inn offered a spectacular view of Garden State Park's track and finish line, prompting Garden State owner Eugene Mori to plant a row of tall cypress trees to block the view from the Rickshaw. In August 1965, Frank Adamucci, a co-owner of the Rickshaw with Dominick Vitese, was shot to death in the lobby of the hotel. Originally thought to be a mob hit due to the single shot and fast departure of a getaway car, investigators linked the killing to a botched robbery. Detectives arrested Bobby Lee Mayberry, William Kestner and John Miller, who had been casing the hotel for weeks and took note of Adamucci's propensity for greeting guests as they entered the hotel's opulent lobby. Mr. Miller was defended by court-appointed attorney Theodore Tarter. Witnesses stated that the fatal shot occurred when Adamucci, angered at Mayberry prodding him toward the office and safe, pushed at Mayberry's arm, causing the pistol to fire a single shot that pierced the businessman's chest.Investigators later spoke to a bartender at a nearby lounge that remembered the trio, who as he recalled ordered unusual drinks, and alleged the men met frequently in the bar while planning the botched robbery. Camden County Prosecutor Norman Heine lead the state's case at the subsequent trial. Ruring Heine's questioning, Bobby Lee Mayberry abruptly confessed to the murder, shouting "I did it! I shot Adamucci!". The case is still studied in law schools as an example of the prosecution provoking a witness-stand confession.The onset of casino gambling in Atlantic City brought an end to The Latin Casino; as a result, the hotel saw a steep decline in business. The massive 1977 fire at Garden State Park's grandstand directly across from the Rickshaw caused extensive damage to the racetrack's gold roofed pagoda, but the Rickshaw was spared from damage.In the 1980s the Rickshaw was stripped of its Asian-styled decor and golden roof, renovated to externally resemble the new Garden State Park grandstand and renamed the Garden Park Hotel. The re-branded hotel was not financially successful and was later closed due to code violations. A plan to convert it into a senior citizen's residence failed, and it was demolished in 2002. Golden Triangle is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Cherry Hill, in Camden County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 4,145.Golden Triangle is roughly bordered by Chapel Avenue, Cuthbert Boulevard, Cooper Landing Road, and Route 70/Marlton Pike.

The March of Dimes Trot was a Standardbredtrotting race that took place at Garden State Park Racetrack in New Jersey on November 17, 1988. It is considered one of the most legendary races in trotting history. The race was connected with March of Dimes charity foundation.The idea of the race was a duel between American world-record-breaker Mack Lobell, who had just been sold to Sweden, and the famous French trotter Ourasi. Both horses had been racing in Europe but they had never met. The one-mile race also featured eight other horses from Europe and North America. Three of the European participants (Napoletano, Sugarcane Hanover and Friendly Face) were American-bred.The race evoked great interest in Europe. More than 70 reporters had flown to cover the race. A four-hour television coverage was sent to France and the race was also broadcast in Sweden. Surprisingly only a crowd of 8,000 people showed up at the racetrack. Hundreds of them were from Europe.Winner of the March of Dimes Trot was an American expatriate Sugarcane Hanover who was trained in Norway. Ourasi finished second and Mack Lobell who took the lead was third.

Collingswood station is a stop in Collingswood, New Jersey on the PATCO Speedline between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Lindenwold, New Jersey. It provides access to the nearby historic and shopping district along Haddon Avenue. It also provides Park and Ride access. The station has a single island platform. It is grouped with the Westmont and Haddonfield stations in ride pricing from Philadelphia.

The Cooper River is a tributary of the Delaware River in southwestern New Jersey in the United States.The confluence of the Cooper River with the Delaware River is in Camden. The Cooper River serves as a border between Cherry Hill and Haddon Township, Haddonfield, and Lawnside. The Cooper River (known upstream near Haddonfield as Cooper's Creek) was named after the Cooper family, who were some of the first European settlers in the area of Camden County, New Jersey. This tributary of the Delaware River is 16 miles (25.7 km) long measuring from its headwater in Gibbsboro (it is notable that the Northern Branch begins in Voorhees Township). The Cooper River Watershed covers 40 square miles (100 km2), and includes the tributaries Chandlers Run, Millard Creek, Nicholson Branch, the North Branch, and Tindale Run (the last two being the most significant). Although historically a tidal river (the most severe tide reportedly reached Kings Highway), all present tidal influence stops at the Kaighn Avenue Bridge, in Camden, where it is impounded. The Cooper flows through Barrington, Berlin Township, Camden, Cherry Hill, Collingswood, Gibbsboro, Haddon Township, Haddonfield, Lawnside, Lindenwold, Magnolia, Merchantville, Pennsauken Township, Somerdale, Stratford, Tavistock and Voorhees Township.The Cooper also has seven impoundments, not listed in geographical order: Cooper River Lake, Evans Pond, Hopkins Pond, Kirkwood Lake, Linden Lake, Square Circle Lake, Wallworth Lake.
