Americus, Indiana

Washington Township is one of thirteen townships in Tippecanoe County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 2,432 and it contained 1,002 housing units.

The Tippecanoe River ( TIP-ee-kə-NOO) is a gentle, 182-mile-long (293 km) river in the Central Corn Belt Plains ecoregion in northern Indiana. It flows from Crooked Lake in Noble County to the Wabash River near what is now Battle Ground, about 12 miles (19 km) northeast of Lafayette. The name "Tippecanoe" was derived from a Miami-Illinois word for buffalo fish, reconstructed as */kiteepihkwana/ or as kiteepihkwana siipiiwi.The Tippecanoe River is fed by 88 natural lakes and has a drainage area of 1,250,000 acres (5,100 km2), spanning 14 counties. It supports more numerous imperiled species and overall species diversity than most streams of the upper Midwest. The Nature Conservancy has identified it as one of the top ten rivers in the United States to preserve due to its ecological diversity and the high proportion of endangered species found in it.

Wolf Park is a nonprofit education and research facility in Battle Ground, Indiana, United States, established in 1972 by Dr. Erich Klinghammer. Along with research and seminars on wolf behavior, particularly reproductive and inter-pack social behavior, Wolf Park provides interpretive programs to school groups and the public throughout the year. They provide a variety of day tours along with their popular evening "Howl Night" programs on weekends. The park is home to several packs of wolves, along with foxes, bison, and other North American species. Displays and landscaping focuses on backyard habitats and protecting native species. They are incorporated under Wolf Park, Inc.

The Delphi Municipal Airport (1I9) is a public airport 3 miles (4.8 km) south of Delphi, in Carroll County, Indiana, United States. The airport was founded in November 1969 by two local farmers. In the early 1980s, ownership transferred to the City of Delphi. The Board of Aviation Commissioners (BOAC) works alongside the airport manager in managing the airport.

Hershey House, also known as the Patrick Home, is a historic home located in Perry Township, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. It was built in 1856, and is a two-story, Greek Revival style brick dwelling, with a 1+1⁄2-story rear wing. It is three bays wide and has a gable front roof. Also on the property is a contributing fieldstone milk house. It was the home of William Hershey, son of the builder Joseph M. Hershey, who served with the 16th Independent Battery Indiana Light Artillery in the American Civil War and witnessed the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.: 2–3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Prophetstown State Park commemorates a Native American village founded in 1808 by Shawnee leaders Tecumseh and his brother Tenskwatawa north of present-day Lafayette, Indiana, which grew into a large, multi-tribal community. The park features an open-air museum at Prophetstown, with living history exhibits including a Shawnee village and a 1920s-era farmstead. Battle Ground, Indiana, is a village about a mile east of the site of the Battle of Tippecanoe in 1811, a crucial battle in Tecumseh's War which ultimately led to the demise of Prophetstown. The state park was established in 2004 and receives about 335,000 visitors annually.
