The Main Street Historic District in Stone Ridge, New York, United States, is located along US 209/NY 213 in that hamlet, part of the Town of Marbletown in Ulster County. It is a strip from the southern end of the unincorporated community to a short distance north of the intersection at Cooper Street, where the 209/213 concurrency ends. The latter highway turns left (northwest) towards the Catskill Mountains.Main Street's 70 acres (28 ha) contain 97 resources on 38 separate lots. All but five are contributing properties to the historic character of the district. In 1988, Main Street Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The buildings are mostly houses, dating from the 18th and early 19th centuries. The earlier structures are stone houses such as the Hasbrouck House at the district's southern boundary and the 1767 Cornelius Wynkoop Stone House, where George Washington once slept. Later buildings show the Federal and Greek Revival styles, such as the Tack Tavern, the Marbletown Dutch Reformed Church, and the town library (which was once the house of Edward Lounsbery). A few Craftsman and Victorian houses are scattered among the older homes. The entire strip has been relatively unchanged since the early 20th century, with the only significant addition being Marbletown's town hall and accompanying garages. From the earliest settlement of the area, development remained close to what was then the Old Mine Road. There were no side streets because the land on both sides of the road slopes down to unbuildable wetlands. Due to the short setback of the houses and other buildings, the lots—which range in size from one-quarter acre to more than twenty acres—appear smaller than they are. Many houses also have historic outbuildings in their rear. They are shielded from view of traffic along the street somewhat by the wooded character of the lots, which also makes the transition from country to town somewhat less abrupt for drivers approaching Stone Ridge along 209/213 from the south. Six black locust trees spaced 10 feet (3 m) apart along the frontage of the Wynkoop House, which was added to the National Register in its own right in 1996, were planted around the time it was built and are contributing aspects of its historic character.

The Cornelius Wynkoop Stone House is located along US 209 in the hamlet of Stone Ridge, New York, United States. It is a stone house in the Georgian style, built from 1767 to 1772 for Cornelius Evert Wynkoop. It is a contributing property to the Main Street Historic District, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in its own right in 1996. The house combines a Georgian plan with a gambrel roof, an unusual combination reflecting British and Dutch tastes found on only one other stone house in the Hudson Valley. George Washington spent a night at the house as well.

Marbletown is a town in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 5,658 at the 2020 census. It is located near the center of Ulster County, southwest of the City of Kingston. US 209 and NY 213 pass through the town. It is at the eastern edge of the Catskill Park.

Stone Ridge is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 1,234 at the 2020 census. Stone Ridge is located in the Town of Marbletown, along US 209 where it overlaps NY 213.

The High Falls Historic District corresponds roughly to the downtown section of the hamlet of that name in Marbletown, New York, United States. It is a 21-acre (8.5 ha) area around the intersection of state highway NY 213, Main Street, Mohonk Road (Ulster County Route 6A0 and Bruceville Road just south of Rondout Creek. Here the Delaware and Hudson Canal once crossed the creek on a large aqueduct, never rebuilt after it burned in the early 20th century. Several pieces of the canal's infrastructure, including some well-preserved locks and the canal's official National Historic Landmark plaque, are included in its 21 acres (8 ha). While the canal had the greatest effect on the small community, it has not been the only economic force acting on it over the years. It is considered a "distinctive example of mid-19th century semi-urban land use planning."

The Delaware and Hudson Canal Museum is a museum in High Falls, New York, United States, specializing in the history and culture of the Delaware and Hudson Canal. It is located in the 1797 DePuy Tavern, D&H Canal Company Offices from 1850 to 1898. The building is a contributing property to the High Falls Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The DePuy Tavern is also the site of the new Mid-Hudson Visitor Center, promoting over 100 attractions within a 35-mile radius of High Falls, NY. The museum's website, www.canalmuseum.org, links to their YouTube channel, D&H TV, with over 85 videos on this important American history, and has a map of all the publicly accessible extant D&H sites. The museum includes approximately 4000 artifacts including maps, photographs, documents, models, paintings, and prints. It also maintains and operates a walking trail, the Five Locks Walk, which provides access to locks 16–20 of the former canal.

High Falls is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Ulster County, New York, United States. The population was 700 at the 2020 census. Portions of High Falls are located in the towns of Marbletown, Rosendale, and Rochester.

Cottekill is a small hamlet in the northwest part of the Town of Rosendale, Ulster County, New York, United States. Located in the Rondout Valley, it is approximately 2.25 miles east of the hamlet of Stone Ridge, 2.5 miles northwest of Rosendale Village, 8.75 miles south of the city of Kingston and 10.9 miles north of the village of New Paltz. As of 2014, the population was listed at 451.

The Lock Tender's House and Canal Store Ruin is located on Canal Road in High Falls, New York, United States. It is a complex along the former route of the Delaware and Hudson Canal built in the middle of the 19th century. The Lock Tender's House is one of the few surviving such structures along the length of the canal in New York or Pennsylvania. The store ruins are also one of the few remnants of the canal's ancillary buildings. Both can be seen from a nearby public trail along the canal bed. In 1998 the property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Snyder Estate Natural Cement Historic District is located in the Town of Rosendale, New York, United States. It is a 275-acre (111 ha) tract roughly bounded by Rondout Creek, Binnewater and Cottekill roads and Sawdust Avenue. NY 213 runs through the lower portion of the district, paralleling the dry bed of the Delaware and Hudson Canal. Within the district's bounds are 122 contributing properties representing what remains of five plants that produced Rosendale cement, and the homes and dependencies of the Snyder family, who originally owned the land. They range in age from the bed of the canal, where the cement was discovered in 1825 during construction, to some of the last factories built before production was ended in 1970. Included are not just homes, barns, and factories but mines, reservoirs, and a rail siding. After an aborted attempt to secure National Historic Landmark District status in 1978, the district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Widow Jane Mine is a former cement mine located west of Rosendale, New York. The mine was active from 1825 to 1970 and is now part of the Snyder Estate Natural Cement Historic District. Dolomite extracted from the mine was used to make Rosendale cement which was widely used in the 19th century, contributing to the base of the Statue of Liberty among other structures. Since the closure of Widow Jane Mine in 1970, the unique acoustics of its chambers have led to its use as a performance venue. The Century House Historical Society, which oversees the property, hosts a summer concert series in the mine. An annual Subterranean Poetry Festival is held there as well. It has been used as a recording studio, a venue for plays, and an art exhibition space. 80% of the mine is underwater.
