Noréaz

Former municipalities of the canton of Fribourg

Noréaz (French: [nɔʁea]; Arpitan: Noréya) is a former municipality in the district of Sarine in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. On 1 January 2020 the former municipalities of Corserey, Noréaz and Prez-vers-Noréaz merged to form the new municipality of Prez.

On 1 September 1994 the former municipality of Chandon merged into the municipality of Léchelles, keeping the name Léchelles. On 1 January 2016, the former municipalities of Domdidier, Dompierre, Léchelles and Russy merged to form Belmont-Broye.

In 2000 the municipality was created when Montagny-les-Monts and Montagny-la-Ville merged.
