Montarville is a federal electoral district in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 2015. Montarville was created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and was legally defined in the 2013 representation order. It came into effect upon the call of the 42nd Canadian federal election, scheduled for 19 October 2015. It was created out of parts of the electoral districts of Saint-Bruno—Saint-Hubert, Verchères—Les Patriotes and Chambly—Borduas.

Ski Mont Saint-Bruno is a Canadian alpine ski facility. It is located on the slopes of Mont Saint-Bruno, in the city of Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec. It is located right next to Parc national du Mont-Saint-Bruno, a Quebec provincial park that offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The ski station is located on the South Shore of Montreal, 30 minutes from Downtown Montreal. The ski hill is 175m tall. It is also next to a quarry.The ski station was opened in 1965. As of the 2009–2010 season, the ski station has the largest ski school in Canada, with over 500 instructors, and over 32,000 students a year. The ski hill has 15 runs, and offers evening skiing on lit pistes. It also contains an isolation room to hold criminals. It is considered an "urban resort" as opposed to a "destination resort".Ski MontJoye is owned by the same company that operates Ski Mont Saint-Bruno.

Mont Saint-Bruno is part of the Monteregian Hills in southern Quebec, Canada. Its summit stands 218 m (715 ft) high and lies 23 km (14 mi) east of downtown Montreal. This mountain has a ski resort, a natural area, and an apple orchard. Forests of beech, maple, oak, hickory, ironwood, hemlock and pine cover those slopes which have not been cleared for agriculture or skiing. The apple orchard is an agricultural research station operated by IRDA (The Research and Development Institute for the Agri-Environment of Québec). Mont-Saint-Bruno National Park encompasses part of the mount, which also contains ski slopes Ski Mont Saint-Bruno. A quarry also occupies part of it. Mont Saint-Bruno is also home to a small Canadian Forces training camp where new recruits from the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School learn navigation and topography.

Mont-Saint-Bruno Provincial Park (French: Parc Provincial du Mont-Saint-Bruno) is a small national park of Quebec located near the municipality of Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) to the east of Montréal on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River. The park, with an area of 8.84 square kilometres (3.41 sq mi), notably includes Mont Saint-Bruno, one of the Monteregian Hills which peaks at 218 metres (715 ft). The mountain is shared with the Ski Mont Saint-Bruno ski resort, a quarry and a small Canadian Forces (5th GSS) training camp. Despite its relatively small size, the mountain is known for its rich fauna and flora. Situated at the heart of the old signory of Montarville, its many lakes have permitted the construction and exploitation of many water mills, contributing to the region's economical success. A building from one of those mills, the "Vieux Moulin" (Old Mill), still stands to this day and is used as a rest area for skiers and hikers in different seasons. At the beginning of the 20th century, the mountain became a luxury resort and a sought-after area for the food needs of various religious communities. One of those communities, the Brothers of Christian Instruction of St Gabriel, went as far as building a school and an arboretum for the benefit of the neighboring population. In 1976, the Government of Quebec acquired part of the mountain. It established a park in 1985 that, since 1999, is managed by the Société des établissements de plein air du Québec (SÉPAQ). The park sees approximately 750,000 visitors yearly, where hiking, cross-country skiing and alpine skiing are amongst the most popular activities enjoyed.

Montarville is a provincial electoral district in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It consists of the municipalities of Boucherville and Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, both of which are part of the urban agglomeration of Longueuil. It was created for the 2012 election from parts of the Marguerite-D'Youville and Chambly electoral districts.Marguerite-D'Youville, which ceased to exist, consisted of Boucherville and Sainte-Julie. To create Montarville, Sainte-Julie was moved to the Verchères electoral district and Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville was taken from Chambly.

The 1979 Peter Jackson Classic was contested from July 26–29 at Richelieu Valley Golf Club. It was the 7th edition of the Canadian Women's Open, and the first edition as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. This event was won by Amy Alcott.

Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville is an off-island suburb of Montreal, in southwestern Quebec, Canada, on the south bank of the Saint Lawrence River just east of Montreal. It lies on the west flank of Mont Saint-Bruno, one of the Monteregian Hills. The population as of the Canada 2011 Census was 26,107. It merged with Longueuil in 2002 but de-merged in 2006. The city is well known to Montrealers and its neighbouring population for Mont Saint-Bruno, location to both Mont-Saint-Bruno National Park and Ski Mont Saint-Bruno, a ski facility and school.

Mount Bruno Golf Club is a private club located in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec, Canada. It is reputed to be one of the most exclusive golf clubs in Canada, and it has hosted the Canadian Open twice: in 1922, when it was won by Al Watrous, and in 1924, won by Leo Diegel. The course was originally designed by Willie Park Jr., later renovated by Stanley Thompson and Tom McBroom. Its mountain terrain is difficult because the ball often breaks in the opposite direction from what golfers are expecting. The signature hole is the 14th, a 435-yard, par 4, which is located at the highest point on the course and offers a view of the course and the surrounding valley. The elevated tee plays downhill and then requires an uphill approach to the elevated green, which slopes to the left and is protected by sand on the right and large bumps on the left side.

L'Institut de recherche d'Hydro-Québec (Hydro-Québec Research Institute), known by its acronym IREQ ("Institut de recherche en électricité du Québec", Quebec Electricity Research Institute) is a research institute established in 1967 by government-owned utility Hydro-Québec. IREQ operates from Varennes, a town on the south shore of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. IREQ operates on an annual research budget of approximately $100 million and specializes in the areas of high voltage, mechanics and thermomechanics, network simulations and calibration.In the last 20 years, the institute has also conducted research and development work towards the electrification of ground transportation. Current projects include battery advanced materials, including work on molten salts, lithium iron phosphate and nanotitanate, improved electric drive trains and the impacts of the large scale deployment of electric vehicles on the power grid. Projects focus on technologies to increase range, improve performance in cold weather and reduce charging time.
