The Compagnie des chemins de fer de Paris à Lyon et à la Méditerranée ("Railway Company of Paris to Lyon and the Mediterranean"), also known as the Chemins de fer Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée or simply PLM, established in 1857, was one of France’s main railway companies until the nationalization of all French railways and establishment of the Société nationale des chemins de fer français (SNCF) on 1 January 1938.

Haussmann–Saint-Lazare is a station on the RER in Paris, France. Opened on 14 July 1999 as the terminus of the new Line E, it is situated beneath Boulevard Haussmann and directly connected to Paris–Saint-Lazare, Auber RER, and two metro stations.

On 5 June 2013, a fight between far-left and far-right activists in Paris resulted in the death of 18-year-old left-winger Clément Méric (French pronunciation: [klemɑ̃ meʁik]). Two far-right skinheads, Esteban Morillo and Samuel Dufour, were indicted for his death. In September 2018, they were convicted of manslaughter and weapon supply respectively, and sentenced to 11 and 5 years in prison respectively. Morillo was freed on licence that November after an appeal, Dufour in January 2019, and a second trial began in December 2019. In June 2021, they were sentenced to 8 and 5 years respectively. The lengthy judicial process centred around contentious points: Méric's own responsibility in the violence, and whether or not the accused had brass knuckles, an illegal weapon regardless of context.

Passage du Havre is one of the covered passages of Paris. Formerly geared towards fish shops and railway modelling (Hornby, La Maison du Train), the arcade was rebuilt in the late 1990s as a modern mall at the time as the construction of Paris' RER E underground railway line, to welcome new shops more in keeping with the Quartier de l'Opéra-Saint Lazare, the heart of Paris major business district. The passage is near Gare Saint-Lazare and opposite the Hilton Paris Opera (the station's hotel). It begins at Place du Havre and leads onto Rue de Caumartin where it ends. The shopping centre is owned and maintained by Eurocommercial Properties N.V..

The Rue Saint-Lazare is a street in the 8th and 9th arrondissements of Paris, France. It starts at 9 Rue Bourdaloue and 1 Rue Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, and ends at Place Gabriel-Péri and Rue de Rome.

Saint-Louis-d'Antin is a Roman Catholic parish church located at 63 rue Caumartin in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, next to Place Georges-Berry, close to the major Paris department stores Printemps and Galeries Lafayette, and the Gare Saint-Lazare railway station. It was originally built in 1783 as a monastery chapel, then became a parish church in 1802. It is known for its lavish Neclassical interior and its collection of 19th century paintings and stained glass.

The Lycée Condorcet (French: [lise kɔ̃dɔʁsɛ]) is a school founded in 1803 in Paris, France, located at 8, rue du Havre, in the city's 9th arrondissement. It is one of the four oldest high schools in Paris and also one of the most prestigious. Since its inception, various political eras have seen it given a number of different names, but its identity today honors the memory of the Marquis de Condorcet. The school provides secondary education as part of the French education system. Henri Bergson, Horace Finaly, Claude Lévi-Strauss, Marcel Proust, Francis Poulenc and Paul Verlaine are some of the students who attended the Lycée Condorcet. Some of the school's famous teachers include Jean Beaufret, Paul Bénichou, Jean-Marie Guyau, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Stéphane Mallarmé.

Saint-Lazare (French pronunciation: ​[sɛ̃ lazaʁ]) is a station on Line 3, Line 12, Line 13 and Line 14 of the Paris Métro. Line 9 also stops at Saint Augustin and RER E stops at Haussmann Saint Lazare. A tunnel connects both of these stations. Located on the border of the 8th and 9th arrondissements, it is the second busiest station of the Métro system after Gare du Nord with 39 million passengers annually. The station offers connections to the following other stations: Gare Saint-Lazare (SNCF), Haussmann–Saint-Lazare on RER E, Havre – Caumartin on Line 3 and Line 9, in addition to Saint-Augustin on Line 9. The station is named after the mainline railway station, which is situated in Rue Saint-Lazare. It is in the commercial centre of Paris, near the major department stores.

Printemps (pronounced [pʁɛ̃tɑ̃]; meaning "springtime" in French) is a French department store chain (French: grand magasin, literally "big store"). The Printemps stores focus on beauty, lifestyle, fashion, accessories, and men's wear. The Printemps was a founder and has been a member of the International Association of department stores from 1928 to 1997, an international body still active as of today.

The Edgar Morin Centre (French: Centre Edgar Morin, previously CETSAH, Centre d’Études Transdisciplinaires, Sociologie, Anthropologie, Histoire) is a graduate teaching and research unit of the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales and of the French Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, Paris. Currently enjoying its fifth decade of activity, the Center (named after the internationally renowned social theorist Edgar Morin) is part of the Interdisciplinary Institute for the Anthropology of Contemporary Societies (IIAC).

The Casino de Paris, located at 16, rue de Clichy, in the 9th arrondissement, is one of the well known music halls of Paris, with a history dating back to the 18th century. Contrary to what the name might suggest, it is a performance venue, not a gambling house. The closest métro/RER stations are Liège, Trinité – d'Estienne d'Orves, and Haussmann – Saint-Lazare. The first building at this location where shows could be mounted was erected by the Duc de Richelieu around 1730, while after the Revolution the site was renamed Jardin de Tivoli and was the venue for fireworks displays. In 1880 it became the Palace Theatre, which housed shows of different types, including wrestling. It was at the beginning of the First World War, however, that the modern Casino de Paris began to take shape, when the venue was converted into a cinema and music hall. After the bombardments of the First World War caused performances to be interrupted, the revue format was resumed, one which lasted through a good part of the twentieth century. Over the decades, performers who have played the Casino de Paris have included Mistinguett, Maurice Chevalier, Josephine Baker, Micheline Bernardini, Tino Rossi, Line Renaud, Shakin' Stevens, Carla Bruni, Violetta Villas, Georges Guétary, and Zizi Jeanmaire; writers who have contributed work have included Serge Gainsbourg and Jean Ferrat; Yves Saint Laurent designed for the Casino in the 1970s, and poster artists have included Erté and Jules Chéret.

Printemps Haussmann (French: Magasin du Printemps) is a department store building on Boulevard Haussmann in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, France. It was designed by Paul Sédille for Jules Jaluzot, Augustine Jaluzot, and Jean-Alfred Duclos, and opened in 1865. It is the flagship store of the Printemps department store chain, and spans 44,000 square metres (470,000 sq ft) of selling space between three interconnected buildings. The store was designated a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture in 1992.
