Tranby Croft

Tranby School, commonly known in the area as the 'Collegiate' or 'Tranby Croft', is a co-educational private day school in Anlaby, near Hull, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 2005 as a result of a merger of two of the area's independent schools and is a member of the United Church Schools Trust. The school was known as Hull Collegiate from its establishment in 2005 until September 2021.

Kirk Ella is a village and civil parish on the western outskirts of Kingston upon Hull, approximately five miles (eight kilometres) west of the city centre, situated in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The parish includes West Ella. Kirk Ella has been a village since at least the 11th century: it remained a relatively unimportant hamlet until the 18th and 19th centuries, when it became a location of choice for merchants of Hull wishing to live outside the city. Several large houses were built during this period, without any substantial increase in village population. After the 1920s, the village grew substantially, with large amounts of high quality housing surrounding the traditional village centre. The village continued to grow during the second half of the 20th century, becoming a large suburb, contiguous with Anlaby and Willerby. The civil parish is called "Kirk Ella and West Ella".

Anlaby is a village forming part of the western suburbs of Kingston upon Hull, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It forms part of the civil parish of Anlaby with Anlaby Common.

Willerby and Kirk Ella railway station was a station on the Hull and Barnsley Railway, and served the villages of Willerby and Kirk Ella in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The station opened on 27 July 1885. It was located west of the junction of Carr Lane and Main Street, partly on an embankment. The station building was designed in the English domestic revival style. The goods yard with a loop and two sidings served a cattle dock, pens and a coal yard. Kirk Ella limeworks had a private siding branching off the line between Little Weighton and Willerby. The station closed to passengers on 1 August 1955 and to freight on 6 July 1964. It was subsequently demolished and the area redeveloped for housing purposes. A road was built over the track alignment northwest of the station, and a car park southeast of it.

Springhead Halt railway station was a station on the former Hull and Barnsley Railway, close to the hamlet of Wolfreton; it served the village of Anlaby in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The station opened on 8 April 1929 and closed on 1 August 1955. The station had two 25-foot-long wooden platforms.

Hessle () is a town, civil parish and electoral ward in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, five miles (eight kilometres) west of Kingston upon Hull city centre. Geographically it is part of a larger urban area consisting of the city of Kingston upon Hull, the town of Hessle and a number of other villages but is not part of the city. It is on the north bank of the Humber Estuary where the Humber Bridge crosses. According to the 2011 UK census, Hessle parish had a population of 15,000, an increase on the 2001 UK census figure of 14,767.

Haltemprice (which from 1950 to 1955 was officially known as Kingston upon Hull, Haltemprice) was a constituency in the East Riding of Yorkshire, a traditional sub-division of the historic county of Yorkshire. It returned one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It was created for the 1950 general election, and abolished for the 1983 general election.
