Plaza Grau

The Monument to Miguel Grau Seminario (Spanish: Monumento a Miguel Grau Seminario) is a commemorative monument located in Plaza Grau, in the historic centre of Lima, Peru. The monument was declared as movable property part of the Cultural Heritage of the Nation.

The Casa Tenaud, also known as the Palacio Tenaud or as the Palacete Tenaud, was a building located at the intersection of today's Grau Avenue and the Paseo de la República, in Lima, Peru. The building was burned down on December 7, 1945, due to it being the location of the offices of the Revolutionary Union political party, including that of its leader, Luis A. Flores.

The Lima International Exhibition (Exposicion Internacional de 1872) was held in the Park of the Exposition, Lima, in 1872 to attract foreign investment, demonstrate Peru's progress and to mark fifty years since Peru's independence

The Palacio de la Exposición is a building on Colon Avenue in downtown Lima, Peru. It was constructed in the 19th century with the Park of the Exposition to house the International Exposition of Lima in 1872. Since 1957, it has been home to the Lima Art Museum.

The Lima Art Museum (Museo de Arte de Lima) is an art museum in Lima, Peru. The museum is located in the Palacio de la Exposición. The museum was inaugurated in 1961. The collection includes ceramics and textiles. MALI is a private organization supported by admission fees, contributions from members, and private donations.In 2015, the museum opened its renovated galleries on the second floor of the Exhibition Palace, showcasing some of the collection's most important items. These galleries survey almost 3,000 years of history, from pre-Columbian textiles and pottery, to mid-twentieth century painting. The museum's contemporary art collection, numbering more than 1,000 works, is still largely kept in storage pending the development of a new wing.The museum has been involved in the development of new research on Peruvian art history, housing one of the most extensive art archives in the region. The MALI has an active program of temporary exhibitions throughout the year, covering local and international artists. Past exhibitions have included Gordon Matta Clark, Milagros de la Torre, Martin Creed, Gerhard Richter, Wolfgang Tilmans, Martin Chambi, Annie and Josef Albers, Francis Alÿs, Fernando Bryce, Marcel Odenbach, Jorge Eduardo Eielson, among others.

The Institute of Hygiene (Spanish: Instituto Municipal de Higiene) is a building located at the Paseo Colón of Lima, Peru. Located next to the Park of the Exhibition, its design was inspired by the pavilion built by Peru for the 1900 Paris Exhibition, and currently houses the Centre for Military Historical Studies (Spanish: Centro de Estudios Histórico Militares del Perú, CEHMP).

The Museum of Italian Art (Spanish: Museo de Arte italiano) is a public museum in Lima, Peru, under the administration of the National Culture Institute. It's the only European arts museum in Peru.

Lima is also one of the thirty most populated urban agglomerations in the world. Due to its geostrategic importance, the Globalization and World Cities Research Network has categorized it as a "beta" tier city. Jurisdictionally, the metropolis extends mainly within the province of Lima and in a smaller portion, to the west, within the Constitutional Province of Callao, where the seaport and the Jorge Chávez Airport are located. Both provinces have regional autonomy since 2002. In October 2013, Lima was chosen to host the 2019 Pan American Games; these games were held at venues in and around Lima, and were the largest sporting event ever hosted by the country. The Promenade of the Naval Heroes (Spanish: Paseo de los Héroes Navales) is a public park located in the historic centre of Lima. It occupies the first block of the Paseo de la República. It was given its current name on October 8, 1979 in commemoration of the centenary of the battle of Angamos.

The Supreme Court of Justice is the highest judicial court in Peru. Its jurisdiction extends over the entire territory of the nation. It is headquartered in the Palace of Justice in Lima. The current president of the Supreme Court is Javier Arévalo Vela.

The Palace of Justice (Spanish: Palacio de Justicia) is the seat of the Supreme Court of Peru. It is located in front of the Paseo de los Héroes Navales, in the Lima District of the city of Lima, capital of Peru. Construction started during the second government of Augusto B. Leguía (1919–1930) and finished under the presidency of Óscar R. Benavides, who inaugurated the building in the late 1930s. The Palace was built in a neoclassical style as its plans were based on those of the Law Courts of Brussels, Belgium, work of Joseph Poelaert. However, it lacks the dome of its Belgian counterpart.
