The Grand Theatre of Rabat (French: Grand Théâtre de Rabat; Arabic: المسرح الكبير للرباط, lit. 'The Great Theatre of Rabat') is a large performing arts center under construction in Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. The building is designed by Zaha Hadid and her architectural firm Zaha Hadid Architects. Planning began for the project in 2010 and construction officially started on October 7, 2014. Completion of the project was scheduled for late 2019. The building is among the last projects designed by Zaha Hadid before her passing in 2016. The construction of the theatre is part of a wider national initiative by King Mohammed VI to promote the arts and cultural development. The Grand Theatre is planned to be one of the centerpieces of a new 110-hectare mixed-use district on the shores of the Bou Regreg River, including malls, residential areas, a national archive, a new archaeological museum, and a business district with skyscrapers on the Salé side of the river.The curving design of the structure is inspired by both the nearby river's winding course and by the aesthetics of Arabic calligraphy. Other elements take their cues from Islamic architecture. The building includes an 1800-seat interior theatre and a 7000-seat open-air amphitheatre.

Salé (Arabic: سلا, romanized: salā, [salaː]; Standard Moroccan Tamazight: ⵙⵍⴰ, romanized: sla) is a city in northwestern Morocco, on the right bank of the Bou Regreg river, opposite the national capital Rabat, for which it serves as a commuter town. Founded in about 1030 by the Banu Ifran, it later became a haven for pirates in the 17th century as an independent republic before being incorporated into Alaouite Morocco. The city's name is sometimes transliterated as Salli or Sallee. The National Route 6 connects it to Fez and Meknes in the east and the N1 to Kénitra in the north-east. It recorded a population of 890,403 in the 2014 Moroccan census.

The Mausoleum of Mohammed V (Arabic: ضريح محمد الخامس) is a mausoleum located across from the Hassan Tower in Rabat, Morocco. It contains the tombs of the Moroccan king Mohammed V and his two sons, late King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah.

Hassan Tower or Tour Hassan (Arabic: صومعة حسان; Berber languages: ⵙⵓⵎⵓⵄⵜ ⵏ ⵃⴰⵙⵏ) is the minaret of an incomplete mosque in Rabat, Morocco. It was commissioned by Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur, the third caliph of the Almohad Caliphate, near the end of the 12th century. The tower was intended to be the largest minaret in the world, and the mosque, if completed, would have been the largest in the western Muslim world. When al-Mansur died in 1199, construction on the mosque stopped. The minaret was left standing at a height of 44 meters. The rest of the mosque was also left incomplete, with only the beginnings of several walls and 348 columns being constructed. The tower, along with the remains of the mosque and the modern Mausoleum of Mohammed V, forms an important historical and tourist complex in Rabat.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates , Arabic: وزارة الشؤون الخارجية والتعاون الإفريقي والمغاربة المقيمين بالخارج) is the foreign affairs ministry of Morocco, responsible for implementing Morocco's foreign policy and ensuring relations with foreign states. Its head office is in Rabat and is one of the so-called "regalian" (royal) ministries alongside the ministries of Defense, Justice, Finance and the Interior.Since 5 April 2017, Nasser Bourita is the incumbent minister, and is assisted by his junior minister, Abdelkrim Benatiq, who serves as the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in charge of Moroccans living abroad and Migration Affairs.

The Zawiya al-Nussak (Arabic: زاوية النساك; also transliterated as Zaouiat en-Noussak) is a historic zawiya (religious complex and residence) located just outside the old city walls of Salé, Morocco.

The Chellah or Shalla (Berber languages: Sla or Calla; Arabic: شالة), is a medieval fortified Muslim necropolis and ancient archeological site in Rabat, Morocco, located on the south (left) side of the Bou Regreg estuary. The earliest evidence of the site's occupation suggests that the Phoenicians established a trading emporium here in the first millennium BC. This was later the site of Sala Colonia, an ancient Roman colony in the province of Mauretania Tingitana, before it was abandoned in Late Antiquity. In the late 13th century the site began to be used as a dynastic necropolis for the Marinid dynasty. By the mid-14th century Marinid sultans had enclosed a part of the site with a new set of walls and built a religious complex inside it to accompany their mausoleums. In the 15th century the necropolis began to decline and it suffered damage over the centuries due to earthquakes and looting. Archeological excavations in the 20th century unearthed the remains of the ancient Roman town. Today the site is a tourist attraction and since 2012 it forms part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Bab el-Mrissa (Arabic: باب المريسة), also known as Bab al-Mellah (Arabic: باب الملاح), is a gate in the city of Salé, Morocco. The gate was commissioned by the Marinid sultan Abu Yusuf Yaqub ibn Abd Al-Haqq between 1270—1280. It is one of the largest as well as the oldest gates in Morocco, and the main landmarks of the city.

Salé-City railway station or Gare de Salé-Ville (Arabic: محطة سلا المدينة) is a train terminal administered by ONCF in Salé, Morocco. The station is the biggest train station in Salé in terms of traffic, and is considered as the main train station of the city. It is directly connected with the Rabat–Salé tramway.

The Rabbi Shalom Zaoui Synagogue (Hebrew: בית הכנסת רבי שלום זאווי; Arabic: كنيس ربي شالوم الزاوي) is a synagogue located in the Mellah (Jewish quarter) of the medina of Rabat, Morocco. The synagogue is located near Bab Diouana and contiguous to the Andalusian wall of the medina. It was named after Rabbi Shalom Zaoui (born circa 1839 and died circa 1918) who was respected and revered by his community, as it used to be his house.

Lalla Chahba Mosque (Arabic: مسجد لالة الشهباء), is a historic mosque in the medina of Salé, Morocco. Some consider it to be the second oldest mosque in the city after the Great Mosque, claiming that it was founded in 1075 CE (465 AH) during the reign of the Almoravid sultan Yusuf ibn Tashfin. Some consider it to be the oldest mosque in the city, meaning it predates the Great Mosque. The mosque deteriorated in the centuries following its construction and was buried under soil and debris. Its remains were uncovered and restored in the early 20th century. A new mosque was built over it in the 1960s.

St. Peter's Cathedral (French: Cathédrale Saint-Pierre de Rabat) is a Roman Catholic church located at Golan Square (Place du Golan) in downtown Rabat, Morocco. It was erected in the early 20th century in the Art Deco style. The cathedral is dedicated to Saint Peter, and is the ecclesiastical seat of the Archdiocese of Rabat.Construction of the cathedral began in 1919, and its chief architect was Adrien Laforgue. The cathedral was inaugurated by Resident-General Hubert Lyautey in 1921. The two towers of the cathedral were added in the 1930s.The cathedral is operational and Mass is celebrated daily.
