Heritage Park is located in the city of Irvine in Orange County, California. The park sits next to Heritage Park Regional Library on the corner of Yale and Walnut Avenue(s), and is adjacent to Irvine High School. It was for decades recognized by its iconic wooden "water tower" slide, which stood three stories tall. Originally built in 1976, the decaying structure was removed in the mid-2000s following a re-design of the play area. The park was also known to children of the 1980s for its tractor-tire maze, which was removed in the early 1990s to make way for a playground and basketball courts.

Jeffrey Open Space and the Jeffrey Open Space Trail within it comprise a 96-acre area of parks and trails in Irvine, California. Approximately five miles in length, it primarily follows Jeffrey Road spanning nearly the entire city, from just past Portola Parkway in the north to the Quail Hill open space in the south for 5 miles (8.0 km).Through a series of community meetings, Jeffrey Open Space was commissioned to be a centerpiece greenspace through the heart of Irvine, providing amenities to residents and visitors and connecting with other parks and trails at multiple points. Serving several communities developed by the Irvine Company, the park design was commissioned to SWA Group landscape architects and was completed in stages in the mid-1990s.

The Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial is a memorial in Irvine, California, to American troops who lost their lives in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The names on the memorial come from US DoD casualty records for Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn. Located at Northwood Community Park, on the corner of Yale and Bryan in Northwood, Irvine, California, it is the only known memorial in the United States dedicated to listing by name all American service men and women killed in the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Local community members assembled annually from 2003 through 2010 to erect a temporary memorial in the park, hold public ceremonies on Memorial Day, July 5, September 11, Veterans Day and conduct nightly candlelight vigils throughout each June and early July. A permanent memorial was built as a joint community and city project in the same location as the temporary memorial as part of the 14-acre (57,000 m2) community park. It was dedicated in a ceremony on November 14, 2010.

The Frances Packing House in Orange County, California near Irvine, California is a historic packing house that was built in 1916. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1977.The packing house closed in 1971, and the building was demolished in 1977. One wall of the building was saved and is now part of a bank in the Walnut Shopping Center.

Northwood Community Park is located in the Northwood community on the corner of Bryan and Yale in the city of Irvine in Orange County, California. The park, built in 1980 on the site of a former citrus packing facility, is also known as "Castle Park" among the neighborhood kids for its fort structure. Northwood Community Park is the home of Winslow Field which hosts PONY baseball games. Winslow Field was named after Chuck Winslow in 1982 for his inspiration and contributions toward the Village of Northwood.

The William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center is an aquatics venue located in Irvine, California, United States. The City of Irvine operates year-round municipal programs in aquatic facility. The center provides a venue for local, regional and national competitive events and features two 50 meter pools and a 25-yard instruction pool. Aquatics activities include a combination of instructional, educational, recreational and competitive programs offered by the City and a number of local nonprofit aquatic organizations. During the 1984 Summer Olympics, it hosted the swimming portion of the modern pentathlon event. It has since hosted the 2010 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, the United States Swimming National Championships in 2005, 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2018, and the 2015 USA Water Polo National Junior Olympics. The facility, originally named the Heritage Park Aquatics Center, was renamed after the City of Irvine's first City Manager and rebuilt beginning in 2003.

Woodbury is a neighborhood of Irvine, California, located from Irvine Boulevard to Trabuco Road, between Jeffrey Road and Sand Canyon Avenue. Despite the similar name, Woodbury and Woodbury East are separate neighborhoods and maintain separate HOAs and amenities. For non-Woodbury residents, Woodbury has the Woodbury Community Park, a public access park. The elementary school located within The Commons is Woodbury Elementary School. All residents of Woodbury and Woodbury East are served by Woodbury Elementary School. Woodbury Elementary School is served by the Irvine Unified School District. Within the community, there are eight neighborhood parks and five neighborhood gardens. Parks feature swimming pools, tot-lots, and basketball courts, and they are scattered throughout the community. Woodbury also has a shopping center attached to the community, Woodbury Town Center. It features a Ralphs supermarket, Trader Joe's, Home Depot, HomeGoods, Michaels and Walgreens Pharmacy. It also has a variety of eateries, such as Starbucks, Chipotle, Subway, Carl's Jr., Chick-fil-A, Panera Bread, Niko Niko Sushi and The Counter. In addition, there is a Chevron gas station, LA Fitness, AT&T Mobility, Cox Communications Store, Orange County's Credit Union, Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, Elite Fitness Tae Kwon Do, and Great Foundations Montessori. For the Woodbury Master Association, the dues are currently $120 per month.

Irvine High School is a public high school, located in the city of Irvine in Orange County, California, United States. It is part of the Irvine Unified School District. As of the 2014–15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,968 students and 60 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 30.7.
