Ampang Jaya

Ampang LRT station is a light rapid transit station operated by rapidKL serving the Ampang Line in Ampang, Selangor, Malaysia, just outside the eastern boundary of Kuala Lumpur. It is the eastern terminus for passenger services on the line. This station was opened in 1996, along with 17 other LRT stations.

Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Baru Ampang (SMKBBA) (English: Bandar Baru Ampang High School; Chinese: 安邦新镇国中) is situated in the town of Bandar Baru Ampang, Selangor, Malaysia. Pandan Indah (Jawi: ڤندان اينده; Chinese: 班登英达) is a major township in Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is located between Ampang proper and Cheras. Pandan Indah has the basic facilities of a modern Malaysian township - it has a police station, a fire station, a primary and a secondary school and two neighbourhood shopping malls - Pandan Kapital and Mid-Point Shopping Complex.

Ulu Klang (alternately Hulu Klang, Hulu Kelang or Ulu Kelang, is a mukim and a state constituency in Gombak District, Selangor, Malaysia. It is one of five state constituencies administered by Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ). It includes Zoo Negara. Several landslides have occurred in this area, forcing people mainly living in flats to evacuate; one notable incident is the Highland Towers tragedy in 1993.

Hillview is a township in Ulu Klang, Gombak District, Selangor, Malaysia. The township lies in a landslide-prone area. It is located next the Kuala Lumpur Middle Ring Road 2. This township was once home to many Western expatriates circa 1970s. It is located roughly halfway between Ampang and Melawati. Sri Ukay is a residential area located immediately adjacent to Hillview. Due to its proximity to the nearest hills, a collection of houses and apartments were built here. Many major landslides occurred due to the soil erosion that occurs after heavy rain. This taman also recently added a guard house. This security system included motorcycle rounding. This is a gated community.

Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur (GKL) (previously known as Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre) is a hospital in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The hospital was funded in 1996, and commenced its operations on 1 August 1996. GKL is a subsidiary of Pantai Medical Centre Sdn Bhd, which is owned by IHH Healthcare, which owns three other Gleneagles hospitals in Malaysia.

The AIA Building hostage crisis took place at the AIA (American Insurance Associates) Building in Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 5 August 1975. The Japanese Red Army took more than 50 hostages at the AIA building, which housed several embassies. The hostages included the United States consul and the Swedish chargé d'affaires. The gunmen won the release of five imprisoned terrorists and flew with them to Libya.
