Downer Theatre

Oriental Theatre is a theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin operated by Milwaukee Film. The theater was built and opened in 1927 as a movie palace with East Indian decor. It is said to be the only movie palace to incorporate East Indian artwork. Designed by Gustave A. Dick and Alex Bauer, the theater has two minaret towers, three stained glass chandeliers, several hand-drawn murals, six bigger-than-life Buddhas, dozens of original draperies, eight porcelain lions, and hundreds of elephants. The Oriental Theatre has been showing independent and art films, as well as a few blockbuster Hollywood films. The theater is the world record holder for continual showings of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It has hosted the film as a Saturday midnight movie since January 1978. In 2005, the theater was dubbed one of the "10 Theaters Doing It Right" by Entertainment Weekly.In 2016, local artists oversaw the installation of a new street art destination in the alley behind the Oriental Theater, and named it the Black Cat Alley. ' As a part of the Black Cat Alley installation, French artist MTO painted a large mural of a green frog entitled "MTO's Bug" on the south wall of the theater, facing Kenilworth Avenue.'

Near Here is a public art work by American artist Paul Druecke, located on the facade of the Peck School of the Arts Kenilworth Building, part of University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee on the east side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The artwork is a bronze plaque with a poetic text created by Donna Stonecipher. It is located at 2155 North Prospect Avenue.

The Hilda and Gustav Pabst House is a Neoclassical mansion completed in 1907. The home was built for real estate developer and heir to the Pabst Brewing Company Gustav Pabst. The home is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the North Point South Historic District. The home was completed in 1907, and was listed in the Wisconsin state register January 1, 1989 and added to the National Register September 4, 1979.

Villa Terrace is a historic house in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was built in 1924 for the Lloyd R. Smith family - an Italian Renaissance-style home on a bluff above Lake Michigan. Since 1966 the house and grounds have housed the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Lloyd R. Smith House.

The North Point Water Tower was built in 1873 and 1874 as part of Milwaukee, Wisconsin's first public waterworks, with Victorian Gothic styling unusually handsome for a water tower. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Compass is a public art work by American artist Gail Simpson, located on the east side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The painted aluminum sculpture was commissioned by the Eastside Business Improvement District #20 to serve as a gateway for pedestrians and vehicular traffic entering the North Avenue commercial zone. A tall stainless steel light post salvaged from the demolition of Milwaukee's Park East Freeway is surrounded by a colorful array of painted aluminum signs that protrude in a spiral formation. Each sign has a distinctive shape and word cut out in a unique typeface intended to reflect the history and character of the neighborhood. The artwork is located in the traffic median on the east side of the North Avenue Bridge. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel architecture critic Whitney Gould called the project, "part sculpture, part signpost."
