The Parkway Theatre, also known as the Rolland Theatre and since 1952 as the Holy House of Prayer for All People, is a historic former theater at 1768 St. Johns Place, at the intersection with Eastern Parkway in Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York, New York. It was built in 1928 and is a steel-frame-and-concrete building faced in buff-colored brick with terra cotta trim. It consists of a long and low three-story block along St. Johns Place, with a triangular lobby block fronting a tall, rectangular-plan auditorium block and stage fly loft block.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

The Prospect Plaza Houses is a 4.53-acre (18,300 m2) complex owned by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) in the Ocean Hill section of Brooklyn and is bordered by St. Marks and Sterling Place, Howard and Saratoga Avenues. It was the first NYCHA development to be completely demolished.

Eastern Parkway Arena was a sports venue located in Brownsville, Brooklyn. First operated as an indoor roller rink, in 1944 it was bought by dress manufacturer Emil Lence and his father John Lence, who converted it to a boxing club in 1947. The arena was located on Eastern Parkway at the intersection of Howard Avenue. Under the supervision of matchmaker Teddy Brenner, the arena became known as the "House of Upsets" for its competitive matches. Brenner used the arena to feature young fighters such as Bobo Olson, Gene Fullmer, Walter Cartier, and most notably Floyd Patterson, who fought there twelve times between 1952 and 1955, winning them all except a highly controversial 1954 loss by decision to Joey Maxim. The arena was known for hosting Boxing from Eastern Parkway, a weekly broadcast on the DuMont Television Network from 1952 to 1954, followed by another year on ABC until May 1955, when ABC failed to renew its contract with the arena after picking up the rights to show fights at the International Boxing Club. The arena hosted a few more fights in 1958 and was later torn down.

Brooklyn Hebrew Maternity Hospital, which opened in 1921, was located at 1395 Eastern Parkway. This four-story building previously housed Maternity Hospital of Brownsville and East New York.The hospital included "two separate kitchens to observe the dietary laws." Other features included: two delivery rooms one operating room space for twenty patients in a large ward ten private rooms.The hospital grounds also had a secondary structure for doing laundry.

Betsy Head Park is a 10.55-acre (4.27 ha) public park in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York City. The park occupies two non-contiguous plots diagonally across from each other at the intersection of Dumont Avenue and Thomas S. Boyland Street, covering a collective 10.55 acres (4.27 ha). The modern-day park contains a playground, a swimming complex, and fields for baseball, football, tennis, and basketball. The park's swimming complex, the Betsy Head Play Center, was designed by Ely Jacques Kahn and consists of a bathhouse, a general swimming pool, and an infilled diving pool. The park is operated by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, also known as NYC Parks. The construction of the park was funded by Betsy Head, a rich Briton who died in 1907. Plans for Betsy Head Park were completed in 1914 by Henry Beaumont Herts, and the park opened on September 30, 1915, with a bathhouse and a pool complex. The current Art Moderne style pool was built by Aymar Embury II and John Matthews Hatton during a Works Progress Administration project in 1935–1936. The bathhouse was not originally set to be renovated, unlike at other city parks with large pools, but it was rebuilt following a 1937 fire. The park's facilities were renovated from 1979 to 1983 and again in the late 2010s. The Betsy Head Play Center was designated as a landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 2008.

The Saratoga Avenue station is a station on the IRT New Lots Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Saratoga Avenue and Livonia Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn, it is served by the 3 train at all times except late nights, when the 4 train takes over service. During rush hours, occasional 2, 4 and 5 trains also stop here.

Marcus Garvey Village, also known as Marcus Garvey Apartments, is a 625-unit affordable housing development located in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn. The complex was developed by the New York State Urban Development Corporation and designed by British architect Kenneth Frampton (then at the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies) in 1973 and completed in 1976. The master plan and buildings were later redesigned by Michael Kirchmann of GDSNY for a substantial renovation in 2016. It consists of multiple four-story townhouse-like structures spread across nine city blocks with stoops, private backyards, and semi-public courtyards.It was one of the first low-rise, high-density public housing projects and was included in a 1973 Museum of Modern Art exhibition titled Another Chance for Housing: Lowrise Alternatives. The complex was named after Jamaican politician and activist Marcus Garvey.

Saratoga Avenue was a station on the demolished BMT Fulton Street Line in Brooklyn, New York City. It had 2 tracks and 2 side platforms. It was built on December 3, 1888 and was served by trains of the BMT Fulton Street Line. Saratoga Avenue replaced Ralph Avenue as the penultimate station on the line until it was expanded to Atlantic Avenue on July 4th, 1889. The next stop to the east was Rockaway Avenue. The next stop to the west was Ralph Avenue. In 1936, the Independent Subway System built their own Fulton Street subway, but unlike the next stops to the west and east, it did not add a subway station to compete with Saratoga Avenue. The el station became obsolete, and it closed on May 31, 1940.

The Brooklyn Hebrew Orphan Asylum was an orphanage constructed in Brooklyn, New York. The Brooklyn Hebrew Orphan Asylum branched off from the Hebrew Orphan Asylum of New York when that organization narrowed its support to children in Manhattan. The Brooklyn organization was created by philanthropic members of Temple Israel and K.K. Beth Elohim. Among those who spent part of their childhood there are Hannah Tompkins and eden ahbez.

The Rockaway Avenue station is a local station on the IND Fulton Street Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Rockaway Avenue and Fulton Street in Brooklyn, it is served by the C train at all times except nights, when the A train takes over service.

Rockaway Avenue was a station on the demolished BMT Fulton Street Line in Brooklyn, New York City, served by the 13 train throughout its existence. It had two tracks and two side platforms, and a center island platform. It also had a connection to the Wilson Avenue Line trolleys. Rockaway Avenue was the easternmost station on the line until it was expanded to Atlantic Avenue on July 4, 1889. The next stop to the west was Saratoga Avenue until May 30, 1940, after which all stations on the line west of Rockaway Avenue were closed and a free transfer became available to the IND Fulton Street Line at the 1936-built subway station of the same name. The next stop to the east was Manhattan Junction. The station closed on April 26, 1956.

The Sutter Avenue–Rutland Road station is a station on the IRT New Lots Line of the New York City Subway, located at the intersection of Sutter Avenue, Rutland Road, and East 98th Street at the border of East Flatbush and Brownsville, Brooklyn. It is served by the 3 train at all times except late nights, when the 4 train takes over service. During rush hours, occasional 2, 4 and 5 trains also stop here.
