The Monument to the Magdeburg Rights (Ukrainian: Пам'ятник Маґдебурзькому праву) is a monument commemorating the return to Kyiv of its Magdeburg rights, which granted its right to self government. It is located in Podil Raion, Kyiv, at the foothills of the former Mykhailo Hill, next to the Shore Highway. It is considered to be the city's oldest monument. It is also called the Column of the Magdeburg Rights, the Baptizing of Ruthenia Monument, and the Lower Monument of the Saint Volodymyr. It is a scenic spot overlooking the Dnipro river, popular for local baptisms.

The National Philharmonic of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Національна Філармонія України), often referred to as Kyiv Philharmonic and National Philharmonic, is a complex of two adjacent concert halls in the Khrestchaty Park in Kyiv, Ukraine. Formerly the Merchant's House, the building's use for musical performances is associated with the Philharmonic Society, established by Mykola Lysenko. The historic building was built at the end of the 19th century. Standing at the end of Khreschatyk street near the European Square, it has hosted numerous Russian composers such as Sergei Rachmaninoff, Alexander Scriabin, and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and famous opera singers like Leonid Sobinov and Feodor Chaliapin.

The Arch of Freedom of the Ukrainian people (Ukrainian: Арка свободи українського народу, romanized: Arka svobody ukrainskoho narodu) is a monument in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It was opened on 7 November 1982, amidst the celebration of the 1,500th Anniversary of Kyiv, to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the USSR and the "reunification of Ukraine with Russia in 1654". (The Pereiaslav Agreement as it was known in the Soviet Union).The sculpture under the arch, which depicted a Ukrainian worker and a Russian worker standing together, was dismantled in April 2022 amidst the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Saint Volodymyr Descent (Ukrainian: Володимирський узвіз, Volodymyrskyi uzviz) is a street in Kyiv located between the Pechersk and Podil city districts. It stretches from European Square to Postal Square. The city street splits two city parks (Khreshchatyi Park and Saint Volodymyr Hill) located on the slopes of Saint Michael Hill (see Kyiv Mountains). The two parks are connected by the Bridge over Saint Volodymyr Descent, also called the Klitschko Bridge or the Kyiv Glass Bridge, which opened on 25 May 2019.The street started to form in 1711 in place of the so-called Old Pechersk Road that used to connect Pechersk with Podil. As a city street it was known originally as Khreshchatyi Drive (Ukrainian: Хрещатицький приїзд, Khreshchatytskyi pryizd) and later as Paved Street (Ukrainian: Мостова вулиця, Mostova vulytsia) becoming the first city's street paved with cobblestone. Sometime in 1810s it became part of a long Aleksandr Street (after Alexander II of Russia) that stretched all the way from Arsenal Square to Contracts Square, while the descent was unofficially referred to as Aleksandr Descent. After the occupation of Kyiv by the Soviet troops in March 1919 the long street was renamed as Revolution Street (October Revolution). When Kyiv became the capital of the Soviet Ukraine in 1934, the street was renamed once again, now as Sergei Kirov Street after the soviet government official Sergei Kirov. During the Nazi occupation the street along with the modern Hrushevskyi Street carried the name of the Nazi political figure Fritz Todt. During the World War II when Kyiv was freed from Nazi occupation, the former long Kirov Street was split at the Stalin Square (today European Square) into Kirov Street (today Hrushevskyi Street) and Volodymyr Descent that stretched from the Stalin Square to Contracts Square. In 1955 the street was shortened and part of it between Postal Square and Contracts Square was renamed Zhdanov Street (today Sahaidachny Street) after the Soviet official Andrei Zhdanov.

Monument to Prince Volodymyr, is a monument in Kyiv, dedicated to the Grand Prince of Kyiv Volodymyr the Great, built in 1853. It is located on Volodymyrska Hill, the steep right bank of the Dnipro. It is the oldest sculptural monument, a dominating feature of the Dnipro banks, and one of the city's symbols.

The International Convention Center "Ukrainian House" (Ukrainian: Український дім. Міжнародний конгрес-центр, romanized: Ukrains'kyi dim. Mizhnarodnyi kongres-tsentr) is the largest international exhibition and convention center in Kyiv, Ukraine. Popularly referred to as just "Ukrainian House", this five-storey building is the host venue for a variety of events from exhibitions, trade fairs and conferences to international association meetings, product launches, banquets, TV-ceremonies, sporting events, etc.

Volodymyrska Hill or Saint Volodymyr Hill (Ukrainian: Володимирська гірка, "Volodymyrska hirka") is a large 10.6 hectares (0.106 km2) park located on the steep right-bank of the Dnipro River in central Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Its most famous and prominent landmark is the Monument to Prince Volodymyr. The monument, with its prominent location and overlooking the scenic panorama of the left-bank of Kyiv, has since become one of the symbols of Kyiv, often depicted in paintings and photographic works of the city. The Hill provides an excellent panorama of the Dinpro River, the Left Bank, and Podil.

European Square (Ukrainian: Європейська площа, romanized: Yevropeiska ploshcha) is a square located in what is known as the Old Town (Stare Misto) or the Upper Town, in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It is also located at the north-eastern end of the Khreschatyk, the city's main thoroughfare. Other streets connected to the square are Tryokhsvyatytelska Street, Volodymyrskyi Descent, and Hrushevsky Street. In 2013–14 the square was one of the centres of the EuroMaidan protests.

Hotel Dnipro (Ukrainian: Готель Дніпро) is a four-star hotel located in central Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, on European Square, next to Khreschatyk Street and near Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square).The hotel was built in 1964 in a location which originally was occupied by Kyiv's Hotel Yevropa. The interior and design of the restaurant in the Hotel Dnipro was made by the architect Irma Karakis.Formally state owned, in July 2020 the hotel was sold to the private real estate company Smartland. Smartland won an open auction with their bid of ₴1,111,111,222.22 (about US$40 million (at the time)).

Khreshchatyi Park (Ukrainian: Хрещатий парк) is a city park in Kyiv located next to the European Square, on right bank slopes of Dnipro and along the Volodymyr Descent. It covers area of 11.8 ha (29 acres). Since 2019, a glass pedestrian bridge has connected the park with Volodymyr Hill.

The Co-Cathedral of St. Alexander (Ukrainian: Співкафедральний собор св. Олександра ) also called Cathedral of St. Alexander of Kyiv is a Roman Catholic co-cathedral located in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.The church was built between 1817 and 1842 in a cruciform plan, with a dome at the intersection of the aisles in the style of classicism. The church is located on the former site of a Polish merchant district, near the present day Independence Square.To commemorate the visit of Russian Tsar Alexander I in Kyiv the Polish owner Antoni Sawicki built, with the consent of the authorities, a wooden church on the site.The first wooden church burned down in 1823; the new brick church was not completed until 1842. After 1905, the tsarist authorities eased restrictions on churches other than Russian Orthodox. In Soviet times a planetarium occupied the premises. After the fall of communism the building was renovated and became the co-cathedral of the Diocese of Kyiv-Žytomyr (Dioecesis Kioviensis-Zytomeriensis, Єпархія Київ-Житомир).

The Yaroslav Mudryi National Library of Ukraine (Ukrainian: Національна бібліотека України імені Ярослава Мудрого, translit.: Yaroslav Mudryi National Library of Ukraine) is one of the national libraries of Ukraine, one of the largest libraries of the country. It was opened in 1866 as the city's public library. The main building of the library is located on 1, Mykhaila Hrushevskoho Street on the European Square in the center of Kyiv. It is the central library of Ukraine's public library system and is a research institute bibliography and library science.
