Golden Resources Shopping Mall, or Jin Yuan (abbreviated from Chinese: 金源时代购物中心) is a major shopping mall located near the northwest Fourth Ring Road in Haidian District, Beijing, People's Republic of China. It was the largest mall by gross leasable area until 2005, when South China Mall in Dongguan, China was completed. It can be accessed by the Beijing Subway using Changchunqiao Station on Line 10. In English, the mall is nicknamed "Great Mall of China" due to its total area of 560,000 square metres (6 million square feet) over six floors. At 1.5 times the size of the Mall of America, Golden Resources Mall was the world's largest shopping mall from 2004 to 2005. The mall opened on 24 October 2004. Footfall had been estimated at 50,000 a day, but upon opening was as small as 20 in an hour. At the time, prices were far beyond the purchasing ability of most ordinary Chinese, and the mall was relatively inaccessible, being located in the sparsely populated outer suburbs of Beijing between the 3rd and 4th ring road.Fu Yuehong, general manager of the New Yansha Group which operates nearly half the mall, explains: From the beginning we wanted the largest shopping center in the world [...] We are the country with the most people in the world. We have the fastest growing economy. The largest mall shows our progress as a society [...] We think it will take three to five years to start making a profit. The opening of Beijing Subway Line 10 Changchunqiao station in 2012 improved access to the mall. An additional subway line serving the mall, Line 12 was to open in 2023. By 2022, with the growth of the Chinese middle class, and the expansion of Beijing to place the mall in its urban area surrounded by apartment complexes, the number of shoppers had increased tremendously; the mall was crowded on weekends. A second phase of the mall opened across the street.

Sijiqing Area (Chinese: 四季青地区; pinyin: Sìjìqīng Dìqū) is an area and a town on southern Haidian District, Beijing, China. It borders Wanliu Area, Xiangshan and Qinglongqiao Subdistricts to the north, Shuguang Subdistrict to the east, Tiancun Road Subdistrict to the south, Bajiao, Pingguoyuan and Wulituo Subdistricts to the west. It had a population of 162,700 as of 2020.The subdistrict, Sijiqing (Chinese: 四季青; lit. 'Four Seasons Green'), was named after a greenhouse production cooperative that was built in the area during the 1950s.

The Jade Belt Bridge (simplified Chinese: 玉带桥; traditional Chinese: 玉帶橋; pinyin: Yù Dài Qiáo), also known as the Camel's Back Bridge, is an 18th-century pedestrian moon bridge located on the grounds of the Summer Palace in Beijing, China. It is famous for its distinctive tall thin single arch. The Jade Belt Bridge is the most well-known of the six bridges on the western shore of Kunming Lake. It was erected in the years 1750, during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor, and was built in the style of the delicate bridges in the country-side of southern China. It is made from marble and other white stone. The ornate bridge railings are decorated with carvings of cranes and other animals. The clearance of the arch was chosen to accommodate the dragon boat of the Qianlong Emperor. As the Kunming Lake inlet to the neighboring Yu River, and when during special occasions, the emperors and empress and their dragon boat would specifically pass under this bridge. It is one of the most beautiful bridges in the Summer Palace. A similar arch bridge called Xiuyi Bridge is located on the southeast of Summer Palace.

The Firearm Battalion or Huoqiying (simplified Chinese: 火器营; traditional Chinese: 火器營; pinyin: Huǒqì Yíng) was one of the elite military divisions of the Qing dynasty of China stationed around the capital Beijing. It was an army that specialized in managing and practicing firearm weaponries, and an elite unit of the Imperial Guards of the Qing dynasty. The former site of the Firearm Battalion ("Huoqiying") is located directly north of the Indigo Factory in the present-day Haidian District of Beijing, where "Huoqiying" remains as a place name today. There is also a Huoqiying station as a station of the Beijing Subway.

Huoqiying station (simplified Chinese: 火器营站; traditional Chinese: 火器營站; pinyin: Huǒqìyíng Zhàn) is a station on Line 10 of the Beijing Subway. This station opened on December 30, 2012.The name of the station is after the Firearm Battalion (Huoqiying) of the Qing dynasty.

Beijing Xijiao Airport is a military airport in Beijing, China. It was also used by charter flights. It is located in Haidian District, 19.75 miles (31.78 km) from Beijing Capital International Airport and about 8 miles (13 km) from the city centre. It has one runway numbered 18/36.

Sijiqingqiao station (Chinese: 四季青桥站; pinyin: Sìjìqīng Qiáo zhàn) is a Beijing Subway station under construction. It will be the terminus of the Line 12, which is about to open in 2024.

Changchunqiao (simplified Chinese: 长春桥站; traditional Chinese: 長春橋站; pinyin: Chángchūnqiáo Zhàn) is a station on Line 10 of the Beijing Subway. This station opened on December 30, 2012. It is located a short distance from the Golden Resources Mall, one of the world's largest shopping malls. The station also serves the Yuanda residential area.

Bagou station (simplified Chinese: 巴沟站; traditional Chinese: 巴溝站; pinyin: Bāgōu zhàn) is a station on Line 10 and Xijiao line (light rail) of the Beijing Subway. It opened July 19, 2008. It was the northwestern terminus of Line 10 until phase two of expansion completed the Line 10 loop.

Summer Palace West Gate station (simplified Chinese: 颐和园西门站; traditional Chinese: 頤和園西門站; pinyin: Yíhéyuán Xīmén Zhàn) is a station on Xijiao line (light rail) of the Beijing Subway, it opened to public on 30 December 2017.

Haidian District (Chinese: 海淀区; pinyin: Hǎidiàn Qū) is a district of the city of Beijing. It is mostly situated in northwestern Beijing, but also to a lesser extent in the west, where it has borders with Xicheng District and Fengtai District. It is 431 square km in area, making it the second-largest district in urban Beijing area (after Chaoyang), and is home to 3,133,469 inhabitants as of November 2020.

Chedaogou station (simplified Chinese: 车道沟站; traditional Chinese: 車道溝站; pinyin: Chēdàogōu Zhàn) is a station on Line 10 of the Beijing Subway. This station opened on December 30, 2012.
