Central Police Hospital

Paltan is a Thana (precinct) of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is often said to be the center of Dhaka, dividing "Old Dhaka" and "New Dhaka". Paltan was made a thana in 2005 by then Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. Paltan Thana was formed on 27 June 2005 comprising part of Motijheel thana.

Detective Training School (DTS) is maintained by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Bangladesh Police. It is situated on 0.727 acres (2,940 m2) of land at Rajarbag in Dhaka. It arranges various courses in the area of investigation and supervision. Since the inception this institute has produced a good number of highly professional investigating and detective officers. It is headed by a senior police officer in the rank of Additional DIG designated as the Commandant of this school. It was established on 25 July 1962.

Eastern Federal Credit Union Insurance Building is a tall building located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is located in Motijheel, the central business district of the metropolis. It rises to a height of 86.82 m (285 ft) and comprises a total of 27 floors. It houses the headquarters of Eastern Federal Credit Union Insurance. Built in 1972, it was the tallest building in Bangladesh until 1985, when Bangladesh Bank Building completed out at 137.1 m (450 ft). Currently, it is one of the tallest High-rises in Bangladesh.

Motijheel (Bengali: মতিঝিল) is a thana (administrative division) of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is at the heart of the city (the General Post Office is considered the zero point of Dhaka). Motijheel is the major business and commercial hub of Dhaka city and has more offices and business institutions than any other part of the city. It is the home to largest number of corporate headquarters in the nation. Many news, magazines, print and other media publishers are based here. Motijheel is close to Dhaka Railway Station, Dhaka's main station. One of the highest skyscrapers of the megacity are in this area. It is the central business district. City Centre Bangladesh and Bangladesh Bank Building are in this area. The iconic land mark of Shapla in Shapla Square is the central point where all major roads to the place converge.

Shantinagar (Bengali: শান্তিনগর) is an upscale neighbourhood in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is under Paltan Thana. Shantinagar is administered by Dhaka South City Corporation. It is one of the busiest areas in Dhaka. Its neighbouring areas are Bailey Road, Siddeshwari, Segunbagicha, Paltan, Rajarbagh, and Kakrail. Numerous shops, pharmacies, restaurants, and salons can be found in Shantinagar. Eastern Plus Shopping Complex, which is a well-known place for shopping around the locality, is also located in Shantinagar. The Rajarbagh Police Lines are located near Shantinagar.

T & T High School (Bengali: টি এন্ড টি হাই স্কুল) is an educational institution in Motijheel T & T Colony, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Although the school was set up to cater for the children of the surrounding areas, students come from all parts of Dhaka. It was established in 1962 as a junior school, but was later converted to a high school.

Bangladesh Police Liberation War Museum is a museum that commemorates the contribution of Bangladesh Police to the Bangladesh Liberation War. It is located at Rajarbagh Police Lines on 1.5 bighas of (216,000 sq ft) land area and was established on 24 March 2013. It contains various materials and symbols which denote the sacrifice of police soldiers during the war. The museum's research unit identified a police officer killed in British Council premises during the Bangladesh Liberation war. Rajarbagh is a residential area of Dhaka, Bangladesh. There is a police line in Rajarbagh. The areas adjacent to it are Shantinagar, Motijheel, Malibagh, Shantibagh, Momenbagh, Shahidbagh, Siddheshwari and Shahjahanpur.

Motijheel Government Boys' High School (Bengali: মতিঝিল সরকারি বালক উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়) is a school located at Outer Circular Road, Motijheel, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 1957 as 'Motijheel Central Government High School'. Though the name has been changed later to the current name, even today the name Central Government remains popular. Students of the school like to call them 'Centralian'. The school campus is 7.5 acres with 2 big playgrounds.Classes are held in two shifts: morning shift, from 7:15 am to 12 pm and day shift, from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm. There are 2 faculties for secondary education: Science and Commerce. It does not have any Arts faculty. In 2008 the government of Bangladesh declared it a provider of Higher Secondary Education. Classes of college are held from 8 am to 2 pm. There is a separate 6 storied building for holding college classes.The school is regarded as one of the best schools in the locality. It frequently takes place in top ten schools in Dhaka Education Board by result of SSC examination.In 2016 a short film named 'ইস্কুল' was made featuring the school.

The Bangladesh Scouts (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ স্কাউটস) is the national Scouting organization of Bangladesh. Scouting was founded in 1914 in East Bengal, now Bangladesh, as part of the British Indian branch of The Scout Association, and continued as part of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association until the country's divided sections split in 1971 during the Bangladesh Liberation War. Following its independence, in 1972, the Bangladesh Boy Scout Association was officially formed as successor of the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association. Bangladesh became an independent member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1974. The organization changed its name to "Bangladesh Scouts" in 1978. The organization has 1,474,460 members as of 2015.

City Centre Dhaka is a skyscraper located in Motijheel, Dhaka, and is the tallest building in Bangladesh. It is located at the heart of Motijheel, It rises up to a height of 171 m (561 ft). It topped-out in 2012, and since is the tallest building in both Dhaka and Bangladesh. It has 37 floors, ten of which are devoted to parking.

Ideal School and College (Bengali: আইডিয়াল স্কুল অ্যান্ড কলেজ), also known as Motijheel Ideal School and College or Ideal High School (which was its name until 1990) is an educational institution in Bangladesh established in 1965. Although the school was set up to cater for the children of surrounding areas, students come from all parts of Dhaka. The institution has three campuses inside Dhaka in Motijheel, Banasree and Mugda.
