Yunlin County

The Yunlin Hand Puppet Museum (traditional Chinese: 雲林布袋戲館; simplified Chinese: 云林布袋戏馆; pinyin: Yúnlín Bùdài Xìguǎn) is a museum about hand puppets in Huwei Township, Yunlin County, Taiwan.

National Formosa University (NFU; Chinese: 國立虎尾科技大學; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Kok-li̍p Hó͘-bé Kho-ki Tāi-ha̍k) is a technical university in Huwei District, Yunlin County, Taiwan. It is the only university in Taiwan to include the historical name of Formosa in its title. NFU was established in Huwei Township in 1980. National Formosa University is organized into four colleges: the College of Engineering, the College of Electronics and Information, the College of Management, and the College of Applied Arts and Sciences. They provide 19 undergraduate, 18 postgraduate, and 2 doctorate level study programs. The Research and Services Headquarters was formed in August 2007 to manage four research centers and two multi-purpose laboratories. The aim of these bodies is to organize academic resources and provide a platform for industry-academia cooperation. The research centers focus on technical services. They are the Energy Science and Technology Center, the Micro-Electronic Mechanical System Design and Application Center, the Opto-electronic and Display Technology Center, and the Precision Mechanical Device Development Center. The two research laboratories are the Micro/Nano Science and Common Technology Laboratory and the Ultra High Precision Machining Laboratory.

The Yunlin County Tuku Junior High School (referred to as TKJH or TJHS Chinese: 雲林縣立土庫國民中學; pinyin: Yúnlín Xiàn lì Tǔkù Guómínzhōngxué; Wade–Giles: Yün-lin Hsien Li T'u-k'u Kuo-min-chung-hsüeh) is a junior high school located in Tuku, Yunlin, Taiwan, which has two kinds of special classes - Chinese music (art talent) class and PE class. Tuku Junior high school was established in 1968. The first principal was Wang Liang-fu, and then was Liu Ho-pi(劉和璧), Lin Chiu-hua(林久華), Hsieh Fei-fei(謝霏霏), Jhong Jin-sen(鍾進森), Yang Shan-yuan(楊善淵), and Chen Chien-lung(陳健隆). The alumnus including the former Yunlin County Mayors Chang Jung-wei(張榮味) and Chang Li-shan(張麗善). After Yang Shan-yuan started his term, he began to find foreign schools to cultural exchange, like Cheongdo Middle School in South Korea. The school's area is around by farms and residential areas. The building Southern Tzu-chiang Building is listed the historical buildings of Yunlin.
