Chaim Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer (Hebrew: המרכז הרפואי ע"ש חיים שיבא – תל השומר), also Tel HaShomer Hospital, is the largest hospital in Israel, located in the Tel Aviv District city of Ramat Gan at Tel HaShomer neighborhood, Israel. In 2020, Newsweek ranked it as the 9th-best hospital in the world. In 2021, it was ranked as the 10th best hospital in the world, scoring the highest for an Israeli hospital.

Meitav (Hebrew: מיטב) is a military unit created in May 2006 by merging the Bakum (בסיס קליטה ומיון, Bsis Klita UMiyun lit. Reception and Sorting Base) and the Minhag (מנהל הגיוס, Minhal HaGiyus, lit. Recruitment Administration). In practice, it is a military base where new Israel Defense Forces recruits are sorted into their respective corps or basic training bases, similar to USMEPCOM in the U.S. military. Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to) initial allocation of basic gear and discharging soldiers at the end of their service. The Reception and Sorting Base, located in Tel HaShomer is still commonly referred to as the Bakum and its new name, Meitav, as the unit's name, is virtually unknown outside the army. A possible reason for this is that meitav is the name of the military unit that resides on the base and is responsible for the different sorting tasks, but not the name of its location. Meitav's headquarters are located at the Tel HaShomer military base, and its current commander is Colonel Nimrod Arjuan. In 2010, Meitav was the third-largest IDF unit, with 1,026 soldiers.

Ramat Ef'al (Hebrew: רָמַת אֶפְעַל) is a neighborhood of Ramat Gan in central Israel. Previously part of Ef'al Regional Council, in 2007 it was transferred to the municipality of Ramat Gan together with Kfar Azar.

Ef'al was a regional council in Israel, in the Tel Aviv District which existed from 1950 until 2008 when it was liquidated and most its area was annexed to the neighbouring cities of Ramat Gan, Kiryat Ono, and Or Yehuda. Ramat Pinkas was transferred to Or Yehuda, Kfar Azar, and Ramat Ef'al to Ramat Gan, and the area north of Kfar Azar to Kiryat Ono.

Tel HaShomer (Hebrew: תֵּל הַשּׁוֹמֵר, lit. Hill of the Guardsman) or Kiryat Krinitzi is a neighborhood in Ramat Gan, Israel. It is bordered to the north by Kiryat Ono, to the east by Yehud, and to the south by Or Yehuda. A major Israel Defense Forces base and the Sheba Medical Center are located in Tel HaShomer.

Or Yehuda (Hebrew: אוֹר יְהוּדָה, Arabic: أور يهوده) is a city in the Tel Aviv District of Gush Dan, Israel. In 2019 it had a population of 36,813.

Kfar Azar (Hebrew: כְּפַר אֲזָ"ר) is a moshav ovdim located in the Ono Valley in central Israel. Previously part of Ef'al Regional Council, in 2007 it was transferred to the municipality of Ramat Gan together with Ramat Ef'al. With an area of around 1,000 acres (4.0 km2), its population is around 500. The moshav was established in December 1932 by two pioneer groups, Brenner and Ma'ash. Land was purchased adjacent to the Arab village al-Khayriyya, and was later supplemented by more land bought by the Jewish National Fund. The name "Azar" was given to the moshav as an acronym for Alexander Ziskind Rabinovitz, a Jewish Russian writer. The population at the end of 1951 was 375.

Ono Academic College (in Hebrew: הקריה האקדמית אונו) is a private college located in Kiryat Ono, Israel. With over 14,000 students, the college is among Israel's fastest growing institutions of higher education. OAC"s stated mission is to decrease economic and cultural gaps in Israeli society. As a result, populations that are otherwise underrepresented in Israeli higher education, including Druze, Bedouin, Palestinians, Ethiopian-Israelis, ultra-Orthodox Jews, and students with special needs, gravitate to OAC.

Kiryat Ono (Hebrew: קִרְיַת אוֹנוֹ) is a city in the Tel Aviv District of Israel. It is located 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) east of Tel Aviv. In 2019 it had a population of 40,409.Modern Kiryat Ono is not to be confused with the biblical Ono, which was located in the area that is now Or Yehuda.

Ramat Gan National Park (Hebrew: הפארק הלאומי, HaPark HaLe'umi) is a large urban park in the Tel Aviv District city of Ramat Gan, Israel. It is not actually a national park.

Bar-Ilan University (BIU, Hebrew: אוניברסיטת בר-אילן, Universitat Bar-Ilan) is a public research university in the Tel Aviv District city of Ramat Gan, Israel. Established in 1955, Bar Ilan is Israel's second-largest academic institution. It has 18,000 students and 1,350 faculty members. The university aims to "blend tradition with modern technologies and scholarship, and teach the compelling ethics of Jewish heritage to all … to synthesize the ancient and modern, the sacred and the material, the spiritual and the scientific".

The Begin–Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA Center) is an Israeli think tank affiliated with Bar-Ilan University and supported by the NATO Mediterranean Initiative, conducting policy-relevant research on Middle Eastern and global strategic affairs, particularly as they relate to the national security and foreign policy of Israel and regional peace and stability. The center's mission is to contribute to promoting peace and security in the Middle East, through policy-oriented researches on national security in the Middle East. It is located at the Social Sciences Faculty of Bar-Ilan University. The center was founded by Thomas Hecht, a Canadian-Jewish leader, and was dedicated to Menachem Begin and Anwar Sadat, who signed the Egypt–Israel peace treaty, the first peace agreement ever signed between Israel and an Arab country.
