Jamaran

Jamaran Hussainiya was the house of Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Jamaran village. On 23 January 1980, Ayatollah Khomeini went to Tehran from Qom to cure a heart ailment. According to doctors recommendation, the weather of Qom did not agree with him. The house of Khomeini was next to the Hussainiya in Jamaran village. The house was linked to a large mosque by a metal platform. Khomeini often walked up a flight of stairs leading from his house to the balcony of the mosque, from which he often spoke.

Zahir-od-dowleh Cemetery (Persian: ظهيرالدوله) is located in Darband, close to Tajrish, Shemiran (now a neighbourhood inside Tehran's city limits) and many Iranian artists, poets and musicians are buried there.

Tajrish Metro Station is the northern terminus station of Tehran Metro Line 1. It is also the northernmost Tehran Metro station. It is located in the area called Tajrish, district 1 municipality in northern Tehran, Iran. The station is located at Qods Square, in the northernmost section of Shariati Street. It has an area of 150,000 sq.m with 16 escalators and 8 elevators. The Tajrish Metro Station was inaugurated on 19 February 2012.

Pietro Della Valle Italian School (Italian: Scuola italiana Pietro Della Valle; Persian: مدرسه ایتالیایی پیترو دلاواله, romanized: Madrase itâliyâyi Piyetro Delâvâle) is an Italian international school in Farmanieh, a district in Shemiran, Tehran, Iran. It offers courses from kindergarten through senior high school and Italian language courses based on CEFR and CILS.

Imamzadeh Saleh (Persian: امامزاده صالح, romanized: Imāmzādeh Ṣāleh) is a imamzadeh mosque in Iran. The mosque is located at Tajrish Square in Tehran's northern Shemiran district. The mosque entombs the remains of Saleh, a son of the Twelver Shia Imam, Musa al-Kadhim, and is one of the most popular Shia shrines in northern Tehran.

Farmanieh (also spelled Farmaniyeh) (Persian: فرمانیه) is a wealthy district located in northern Greater Tehran in the area named Shemiran. It lies within Shemiranat County and also district one of Tehran Municipality. Farmanieh has one of, if not the highest household income rates in Tehran, being home to many embassies, nobles and notables of Iran. The name of Farmanieh is based on Farmanfarmaian house, one of the noble houses in Qajar dynasty era who used to own much of the land in the area. Farmanieh is bordered by Niavaran on the north, Dezashib on the west, Pasdaran Avenue on the east, and Sadr Expressway and Chizar on the south. The main street of the neighborhood is called Farmanieh Avenue. West end of the street leads to Dezashib area, while the east end leads to Farmanieh roundabout at the intersection with northern Pasdaran Avenue. The official post-revolutionary name for Farmanieh Street is Dr. Lavasani Avenue; however, this name is rarely used colloquially. The street extends for about 7-8 kilometers.

Qeytarieh (also spelled Gheytarieh) is an affluent neighbourhood in northern Tehran, located within the larger Shemiran district. Gheytarieh has about 150,000 residents. Qeytarieh is famous for a large park with the same name. Qeytarieh Park was once the home of a Qajar dynasty minister, Amir Kabir. Qeytarie is known for its many restaurants, including fast food, found along Qeytarieh Street. Gheytarieh has a rather younger population, because of the luxury and new apartments many new couples and single people move to this area. Gheytarieh is one of the most expensive neighbourhoods in Tehran alongside Zaferanieh and Elahieh. Qeytarieh's neighbouring districts are Niavaran, Kamranieh, Farmanieh, Elahieh and Tajrish. The reason for the formation of this neighborhood, like most of others neighborhoods in Shemiranat , can be considered as agriculture and horticulture. Most of the people who settled the neighborhood came here from the city of Boroujerd from the Lorestan Province

Darband (Persian: دربند, [dæɾˈbænd]), formerly a village close to Tajrish, Shemiran, is a neighborhood inside Tehran's metropolitan limits. It is the beginning of a popular hiking trail into Mount Tochal, which towers over Tehran. A chairlift is also available for those not interested in hiking. The Persian term darband translates to "door of the mountain" (band, a variation of vand and fand, meaning "mountain"). The initial start of the trail at Darband is about 250 metres long and is dotted with a number of small cafes and restaurants. These are quite popular and are busy in the evenings, as locals and tourists alike visit the many hooka lounges along the trail.The Zahir-od-dowleh cemetery, where many Iranian giants of art and culture such as Iraj Mirza, Forough Farrokhzad, Mohammad-Taqi Bahar, Abolhasan Saba, Ruhollah Khaleqi, Rahi Mo'ayyeri and Darvish Khan are buried, is also located in Darband.

The Sa'dabad Complex (Persian: مجموعه سعدآباد, romanized: Majmuʻe-ye Saʻd-âbâd) is a 110 hectare complex built by the Qajar and Pahlavi monarchs, located in Shemiran, Greater Tehran, Iran. Today, the official residence of the President of Iran is located adjacent to the complex. The complex includes more than 180 hectares of natural forest, streets, qanats, galleries, mansions/palaces and museums.

Tajrish (Persian: تجريش, pronounced [tædʒˈɾiːʃ], also romanized as Tajrīš) is a neighbourhood of Tehran, capital of Iran. Administratively it is in Shemiranat County, Tehran Province. It used to be a village and later was absorbed into the city of Tehran. The Tajrish neighbourhood is located along the northern edge of Tehran. This neighbourhood is one of the oldest parts of Tehran and during the last few decades, has become popular with the wealthy by virtue of the low levels of pollution, in turn created by the area's favorable location along Tehran's northern hills. Tajrish is situated in the Shemiranat County. As of 2006, the neighborhood had 86,000 inhabitants. The Tajrish Square itself is known as Sar-e Pol-e Tajrish (Persian: سر پل تجریش, lit. 'at the Tajrish Bridge'). This square is actually a vast bridge on top of a qanat river. In older times the locals used to call this bridge Gowgal, meaning "[The Bridge] of the Cow Herd.

Gheytariyeh Metro Station is a station of Tehran Metro Line 1. It is located at Shariati Street.

Pas Qaleh (Persian: پس‌قلعه, also Romanized as Pas Qal‘eh and Pas Qalleh; also known as Past Qal‘eh) is a village in Rudbar-e Qasran Rural District, Rudbar-e Qasran District, Shemiranat County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 153, in 47 families.
