2007 World Masters Athletics Championships is the seventeenth in a series of World Masters Athletics Outdoor Championships that took place in Riccione, Italy from 4 to 15 September 2007. The main venue was Stadio Italo Nicoletti. Supplemental venues included Stadio Comunale Santamonica in Misano Adriatico and Stadio Comunale San Giovanni in San Giovanni in Marignano. This Championships was organized by World Masters Athletics (WMA) in coordination with a Local Organising Committee (LOC): Lamberto Vacchi, Luca Verrascina and Francesco Arese. The WMA is the global governing body of the sport of athletics for athletes 35 years of age or older, setting rules for masters athletics competition. In addition to a full range of track and field events, non-stadia events included 8K Cross Country, 10K Race Walk (women), 20K Race Walk (men), and Marathon.

Miramare di Rimini, more commonly known simply as Miramare, is the southernmost suburb and frazione of the city of Rimini, Italy. Situated on the Adriatic coast, the suburb lies 5 km (3.1 mi) southeast of Rimini's city centre and borders the municipality of Riccione.Miramare is located on the Roman Via Flaminia, now the SS16 state road. The settlement expanded during the 20th century development of Rimini's touristic economy. The Bologna–Ancona railway splits the suburb into a western residential half and an eastern touristic half, characterised by hotels, bars, and clubs. Miramare contains Federico Fellini International Airport, which was formerly known as Rimini Miramare Airport, and is also served by a railway station.

Riccione (Italian pronunciation: [ritˈtʃoːne]; Romagnol: Arciôn [arˈtsoːŋ]) is a comune in the Province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. As of 2018, Riccione had an estimated population of 35,003.

Federico Fellini International Airport (Italian: Aeroporto Internazionale di Rimini e San Marino 'Federico Fellini'; IATA: RMI, ICAO: LIPR), formerly Rimini Miramare Airport, is an international airport located in Rimini, Italy. The airport is located in the southern frazione of Miramare, 5.2 kilometres (3.2 mi) southeast of the city centre. As well as serving the Province of Rimini, Federico Fellini International Airport is the main aerial gateway to the nearby independent Republic of San Marino. The airport is a crucial nexus in the local economy, particularly for tourists visiting the riviera romagnola. Since 2015, Rimini Airport has been managed by AIRiminum 2014 SpA. It is named after Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini, who was born in Rimini.

Villa Mussolini is a seaside villa in Riccione, in the Province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna. Built in 1892, the original two-storey villa had thirteen rooms and a side-turret on its south side. In 1934, it was purchased by Rachele Guidi, second wife of Benito Mussolini, Italy's fascist dictator. The Mussolinis used it as a summer holiday home, and expanded the property in 1940, adding an additional floor. During his stays, Mussolini would conduct government business from the villa and host notable guests and foreign dignitaries.In 1997, the villa – by then called Villa Margherita – was purchased by the Cassa di Risparmio di Rimini, who loaned it to Riccione's municipal government. After a one-million-euro restoration, the villa reopened as Villa Mussolini in 2005. It hosts cultural events and exhibitions, as well as civil wedding ceremonies. The villa's name and use continues to attract local controversy.

The Grand Hotel Riccione is a luxury hotel in Riccione, in the region of Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy.Inaugurated in 1929, the hotel was founded by Milanese entrepreneur Gaetano Ceschina, and designed by architect Rutilio Ceccolini. In 1934, it was expanded with the Torre 900, a tower annexe designed by Renato Camus. The hotel was used by foreign dignatories visiting Benito Mussolini, Italy's fascist dictator, during his stays in Riccione, while the tower annexe was used as an operational control and security centre by his private secretariat. After the Second World War, the hotel symbolised Riccione's growth as an upmarket seaside resort, hosting extravagant parties. The hotel closed in 2010 following an inheritance dispute. It partially reopened in July 2023, but its management company was declared bankrupt two months later.The original building's architecture is the Liberty style variant of Art Nouveau, inspired by Gino Coppedè, with sober and elegant lines that subdue Coppedè's eccentricism. It is constructed of predominantly white materials. The hotel's rooms are decorated with crystal chandeliers of Bohemia and Murano. It numbers 300 beds. Previous guests at the hotel include Francesco Cossiga, President of Italy, Princess Haya bint Hussein of Jordan, and Emmanuel Milingo, excommunicated Archbishop of Lusaka.

The Old Church of San Martino in Arcione (Italian: Chiesa vecchia di San Martino in Arcione), known more simply as San Martino, is a Roman Catholic church in Riccione, in the Province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna. First recorded in January 1177 as S. Martini in Arzonis, the first, medieval church was located in the area of the present-day Fontanelle, south of Riccione. After the church was destroyed by an earthquake on Christmas Day 1786, San Martino was rebuilt at its present location on Corso Fratelli Cervi; the church was consecrated on 8 November 1789. It includes the shrine of Blessed Alessio Monaldi, who has been venerated in Riccione since 1578.To accommodate Riccione's growing population, a New Church of San Martino (Italian: Chiesa nuova di San Martino) was consecrated on 10 March 1963. Located on Viale Diaz, which runs between the old town and the railway station, the larger, modern church is less than 280 metres (310 yards) away from the old church as the crow flies.Both churches are dedicated to St Martin of Tours. Together with the churches of San Francesco (in Fontanelle, consecrated 1982) and Santa Caterina (in Raibano, consecrated 1988), they constitute Riccione's parish of San Martino.

Cocoricò is a nightclub in Riccione, Province of Rimini, Italy. Open since 1989, it has become one of Italy's largest dance venues. In 2015, the venue was voted 16th on the list of "Top 100 Clubs" by the readers of DJ Mag. The nightclub has a capacity of 2,500 people.In the late 2010s, various disputes with the tax authorities and judicial vicissitudes have led to a crisis in the management company. On June 4, 2019, the court declared inadmissible the request for a settlement with creditors filed by the management of Piramide (owned by Fabrizio De Meis). With the second sentence of 11 June, the bankruptcy court rejects the composition with creditors, sanctioning the bankruptcy of the company and the closure of the disco.Following the new purchase of the place by Enrico Galli and Antonella Bonicalzi it was announced that the disco would reopen its doors on April 26, 2020, with the name of Cocco. The change of name was necessary because the Cocoricò, Titilla and Memorabilia trademarks had been seized by the Rimini court and put up for judicial auction. In the end, due to the new regulations for the prevention of COVID-19, the reopening was postponed until a later date. On July 10 the news appears that the brands were purchased by an entrepreneur who wanted to remain anonymous, but then a video appeared on the official social networks of the club which made one suppose that the new owners of the Piramide company had bought them back. The videos suggest that the disco will keep its original name: Cocoricò. In fact, the video reads: Now I can tell You My name: Cocoricò.The club re-opened as Cocoricò in November 2022 with three rooms: Piramide (techno/tech-house), T Room (hard techno) and Titilla (house)

Stadio Romeo Neri is a multi-use stadium in Rimini, Italy. The stadium has a capacity of 9,768 and is largely used for football as the home of A.C. Rimini 1912. The stadium itself was named after Italian gymnast Romeo Neri, the first citizen of Rimini to participate in the Olympic Games - in both Amsterdam (1928) and Los Angeles (1932).

Misano Adriatico (Romagnol: Misên) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Rimini in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 120 kilometres (75 mi) southeast of Bologna and about 14 kilometres (9 mi) southeast of Rimini. Misano Adriatico borders the following municipalities: Cattolica, Coriano, Riccione, San Clemente, San Giovanni in Marignano. Misano is a seaside town with a few resorts. The main attraction of the town is the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. The Conca enters the Adriatic Sea near the town.

San Bartolomeo, also known as the Santi Bartolomeo e Marino or Santa Rita, is a Baroque-style Roman Catholic church located in Rimini, region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

The Misano World Circuit (officially known as Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli or Misano Circuit Sic 58, and before 2006 called Circuito Internazionale Santa Monica) is a race track located next to the town of Misano Adriatico (Province of Rimini) in the frazione of Santa Monica-Cella. Originally designed in 1969 as a length of 3.488 km (2.167 mi), it hosted its first event in 1972. In 1993, the track length was increased to 4.064 km (2.525 mi). As of 2007, it began hosting the San Marino and Rimini Coast Grand Prix as part of the MotoGP World Championship. In 2012, the track was renamed to commemorate Marco Simoncelli, a local motorcycle racer who died in 2011.
