Lincoln Park

AIDS Garden Chicago is a public 2.5 acre monument along Lake Michigan in Chicago. It is located south of Belmont Harbor and memorializes the early days of Chicago’s HIV epidemic and honoring those who continue to fight against the disease today. The site location is near the historic Belmont Rocks, a gathering spot for LGBTQ people in Chicago from the 1970s to the 1990s. The Garden’s first phase was completed in late 2019 with the installation of its anchor piece, ‘Self-Portrait,’ a 30 foot tall sculpture by the artist and activist Keith Haring. A public grand opening is set for the spring of 2022.

The Alarm (Indian Alarm) is a Bronze statue by John J. Boyle located in Lincoln Park, Chicago. It was commissioned in 1880, and dedicated on May 17, 1884.On the base are four incised granite tablets with scenes of Ottawa life: "The Peace Pipe," "The Corn Dance," "Forestry," and "The Hunt."

Galleries Maurice Sternberg is Chicago's oldest continually operating art gallery, founded in 1945.The gallery was founded by Maurice Sternberg and Judith Sternberg in the arcade of the Drake Hotel. In its early days, the gallery became known for exhibiting the work American and European artists including Antoine Blanchard, Edouard Cortes and Alexander Calder. Maurice Sternberg died in 1994 and the gallery passed to his wife, Judith who directed the gallery until 1999. The gallery was sold to Harvey Pool and Susan Pool, former Los Angeles marketing executives. Under the gallery's new directors, the location was moved from its original location in the Drake Hotel to the John Hancock Center. In the 21st Century, the gallery has represented works by and mounted exhibitions for many leading American and European artists contemporary artists including, Niels Strøbek and Ian Hornak. The gallery has continued to represent artwork by many of the artists that were originally sold through the company and has introduced additional historic artists to its stable including Karel Appel, Oscar Bluemner, Bernard Buffet, Charles Burchfield, Sam Francis, Robert Indiana, Joan Miró, Henry Moore, Claes Oldenburg and Andy Warhol, among others. In 2011, the gallery relocated to 3000 North Sheridan Road in Chicago.

The building at 320 West Oakdale is a 21-story International Style skyscraper designed by Milton M. Schwartz in Chicago, Illinois.

The University School for Girls was a private high school in Chicago during the early to mid-20th century. Although less prestigious than the Latin School for Girls, it was "one of the city's most elegant educational institutions," and drew similarly from the daughters of the city's elite. The University School was founded by Anna R. Haire in 1897. She was an experienced educational administrator, and a graduate of Smith College. Haire remained principal until 1940, dying shortly thereafter in 1941. The school appears to have folded shortly after her death. For its first three decades, the University School was located on the 1100 block of north Lake Shore Drive, at the corner with Elm Street. A suitably elegant four-story building was constructed for it in 1909-1910.In 1930, the school moved to a new location, further north, at the intersection of Sheridan Road and Oakdale.

The Goethe Monument (or Johann Wolfgang von Goethe Monument) is a 1913 statue by Herman Hahn in Chicago's Lincoln Park, in the U.S. state of Illinois. The statue does not depict the German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, but embodies the "spirit of Goethe"; a low wall behind the statue shows a bas-relief of Goethe and a quote from his play Faust in German and English. The inscription on the statue reads: "To / Goethe / The Master Mind of the / German People / The Germans of Chicago / 1913".Someone crashed a vehicle into the statue in 2022.

Anshe Sholom B'nai Israel (Hebrew for: "People of Peace" followed by "Children of Israel") is a Modern Orthodox Jewish congregation and synagogue located at 540 West Melrose Street, in the Lakeview neighborhood on the north side of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States.

Bike the Drive or Fifth Third Bike the Drive is a recreational, non-competitive bicycle ride held each year in Chicago. Lake Shore Drive is cleared of motor vehicle traffic and opened exclusively to bicyclists for several hours beginning at dawn. The event benefits bicycling advocacy work in the region by the Active Transportation Alliance, formerly known as the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation. Since 2004, Bike the Drive has usually been held on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, though it was cancelled in 2020, and in 2021 was held in early September. In 2006, an estimated 20,000 riders participated in the event. The event is sponsored by Fifth Third Bank and branded as Fifth Third Bike the Drive; it was previously sponsored by MB Financial Bank from 2010 to 2018 and prior to 2010, was sponsored by Bank of America.
