Harley-Davidson, Inc., H-D, or Harley, is an American motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1903 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Along with Indian, it was one of two major American motorcycle manufacturers to survive the Great Depression. The company has survived numerous ownership arrangements, subsidiary arrangements, periods of poor economic health and product quality, and intense global competition to become one of the world's largest motorcycle manufacturers and an iconic brand widely known for its loyal following. There are owner clubs and events worldwide, as well as a company-sponsored, brand-focused museum. Harley-Davidson is noted for a style of customization that gave rise to the chopper motorcycle style. The company traditionally marketed heavyweight, air-cooled cruiser motorcycles with engine displacements greater than 700 cc, but it has broadened its offerings to include more contemporary VRSC (2002) and middle-weight Street (2015) platforms. Harley-Davidson manufactures its motorcycles at factories in York, Pennsylvania; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Manaus, Brazil; Bawal, India; and Pluak Daeng, Thailand. The company markets its products worldwide, and also licenses and markets merchandise under the Harley-Davidson brand, among them apparel, home décor and ornaments, accessories, toys, scale models of its motorcycles, and video games based on its motorcycle line and the community.

The Martin Drive neighborhood of Milwaukee is a residential district on the west side of the city. It is named for the local 19th-century politician Morgan Lewis Martin. Housing development started in the 1920s around two breweries. The area has benefited from local improvement programs and community activities since the 1990s.

On February 26, 2020, a mass shooting occurred at the Molson Coors Beverage Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States, when at approximately 2:10 pm. The perpetrator, 51-year-old Anthony Ferrill, shot and killed five coworkers before committing suicide. It is believed to be one of only two public mass shootings to occur in the U.S. in all of 2020, with the other occurring at Springfield, Missouri, in March and leaving five people dead, including the gunman.

Children of the West End is a public art work by artist Erik Blome. It is located on N. 36th St. and W. Wisconsin Ave., west of downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The work was commissioned by the West End Development Corporation as part of the Spirit of Milwaukee's Neighborhood Millennium Art Initiative. The artwork depicts four children cast in bronze. The figures--two male and two female--balance along the top edge of a winding brick wall surrounded by a garden. According to Blome, "The models for the sculptures of the children were recruited from the surrounding neighborhood." The work includes a bronze relief that spans one face of the wall. The relief design incorporates significant architecture of Milwaukee's west side, including the Pabst Mansion.

Henry & Marie Harnischfeger House is a German Renaissance Revival style mansion completed in 1905. The home was built for Wisconsin Industrialist Henry Harnischfeger. In 1991 the City of Milwaukee gave the building a Historical Designation.

George Schuster House (1891) also known as The Wells Street Red Castle, is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The German Renaissance Revival mansion was built for tobacco magnate George Schuster. It is listed on the neighborhood, city, national and state Register of Historic Places. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places listings in Milwaukee (NRHP) in 1986.

The Edward J. Dahinden House is a large Craftsman-style house built in 1914 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for an officer of the Franzen Paper Company. In 1986 it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Marquette University High School (MUHS) is a private, all-male, Jesuit, Roman Catholic school located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), an accreditation division of AdvancED, and is a member of both the National Catholic Educational Association and the Jesuit Schools Network.

The Abraham H. Esbenshade House is a late Queen Anne-style house built in 1899 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

The David W. Howie House is a 2.5-story Queen Anne-styled house built in 1886 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, still very intact. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 16, 1986.

The Miller Valley Veterans Monument is a public art work by artist Thomas Queoff. It is located at the Miller Brewing Company Visitor's Center on State Street west of downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Marquette Stadium was an outdoor athletic stadium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the home field of the Golden Avalanche of Marquette University, its intercollegiate football team. Located in the Merrill Park neighborhood west of the university, the stadium opened in 1924 and had a seating capacity of 24,000 at its peak. Citing financial issues, the football program was discontinued by the university in December 1960. The concrete grandstands were demolished in the summer of 1976.The National Football League's Green Bay Packers played several home games per year in the Milwaukee area for 62 seasons, from 1933 through 1994. Marquette Stadium hosted three games during the 1952 season; Packer games in Milwaukee were moved to nearby County Stadium when it opened in 1953.In addition to football, the stadium was also the home of the Marquette track and field team, which included Olympian Ralph Metcalfe, one of the fastest humans in the early 1930s. Olympic great Jesse Owens made several appearances while a collegian at Ohio State University.The site was refurbished in 1998 into the Quad Park track and soccer complex, a home venue of Marquette University High School, a few blocks to the northeast. The current field and track are slightly west of the originals at Marquette Stadium.
