The Nidd Viaduct, also known as the Bilton Viaduct, is a former railway viaduct in Bilton, a village in North Yorkshire, in England. In 1845, the Leeds and Thirsk Railway received permission to construct a line north from Leeds Wellington railway station to Thirsk railway station. At Bilton, the line had to cross the Nidd Gorge, and work on a viaduct started in 1846, designed by John Cass Birkinshaw. It was constructed of gritstone slabs quarried from the side of the gorge. The viaduct was completed in 1847, and the first train crossed it in 1848. The line closed in 1969, but the viaduct was retained, and was grade II listed in 1987. It is now crossed by the Nidderdale Greenway cycle route. The viaduct is built of gritstone, and consists of seven round arches, three of them over the river. The piers have plinths and rusticated quoins. The arches have massive voussoirs, and there are moulded bands at impost and track levels. The parapet has flat moulding, and the end piers have projecting coping. The viaduct is 104 feet (32 m) high, and 448 feet (137 m) long.

The Red Cat Cottage (formerly Red Cat Inn), a Grade II listed building, is now a residence that sits at the top of Bachelor Gardens in Bilton, a district of Harrogate in North Yorkshire, England. At the time of Oliver Cromwell this house was an inn that sat on Dragon Lane. The earliest part of the house dates back to the 17th century, whilst the main body was added in the 18th century and the top of the house was built in the 20th century. A red dragon was painted on the outside of the inn as it was known as the Red Dragon. Over the years locals thought the Dragon resembled more of a cat and the Inn became known as the Red Cat. The Red Cat Inn is now known as the Red Cat Cottage and is still a residence to this day.

Harrogate Gasworks Railway was an industrial railway in the town of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It was built to the gauge of 2 ft and ran between Bilton Junction on the North Eastern Railway (formerly the Leeds and Thirsk Railway), to the Harrogate Gas Company's (HGC) works at New Park, north of the town centre. It opened in 1908 to carry coal to the works for gasification, and outbound byproduct liquids. It closed to traffic in 1956. The railway was noted for its tight gauge restrictions in the tunnel at New Park. Two of its steam locomotives have survived into preservation, and are still in use on heritage railways.

St John's Church is the parish church of Bilton, a suburb of Harrogate in North Yorkshire. The church was constructed between 1851 and 1857, to a design by George Gilbert Scott. It is in the Early English style, and cost about £10,000 (equivalent to £1,383,006 in 2023). The work was funded entirely by William Sheepshanks, with his son becoming the first vicar. In 1858, the church was given its own parish. Although it was built with an organ installed, it proved too loud for many services, and a smaller organ was added in 1860. The church was reordered in about 1970, and in 1975 it was grade II* listed. The church is built of gritstone, with stone dressings in a contrasting colour, and a green slate roof with corbelled eaves. It consists of a nave with a clerestory, north and south aisles, a south porch, a chancel and a west tower. The aisle windows are lancets, in the clerestory are two-light windows, and at the east end are three tall lancets.

Nidd is a small village and civil parish in the Harrogate district of North Yorkshire, England. The population of the village taken at the 2011 census was 168. It is situated 3 miles north of Harrogate, 1.2 miles (2 km) east of Ripley on the B6165 Pateley Bridge to Knaresborough road and near the River Nidd. The village used to have a railway station (Nidd Bridge) on the Leeds to Northallerton Railway, but this was closed down on 18 June 1962.The village takes its name from the River Nidd which passes through the parish. The parish church of St Paul & St Margaret has a stone monument to the Rawson family who owned Nidd Hall in the 19th and the early part of the 20th centuries. Nidd Hall is a former country house which has been converted into an hotel.Until 1889, Nidd was part of the Liberty of Ripon.

The Nidderdale Greenway is a 4-mile (6.4 km) path that runs between Harrogate and Ripley in North Yorkshire, England. It uses a former railway line that ran between Harrogate and Pateley Bridge as its course. The route connects to other cycle paths including the Way of the Roses.

The Gardeners Arms is a pub in Bilton, a suburb of Harrogate in North Yorkshire. The pub was built, probably in 1698, for the Mountgarrett estate. It has retained its original layout, although the rear rooms have been converted from residential to pub use, and there is a 20th century extension at the west end. In the 1970s, the estate sold the pub to its tenant, Maurice Johnson. The pub was purchased by Sean Franklin in 1980, who set up a brewery on the premises, at which he pioneered the use of American hops in the United Kingdom. In 1988, Daleside Brewery moved in. The pub was later sold to Samuel Smith Old Brewery. It has lawns to the side and rear with numerous tables and seats, and trees and a stream behind. The pub was grade II listed in 1975, and it is rated two stars on the National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors. The public house is built of gritstone, and has a stone slate roof with coped gables and kneelers. There are two storeys and two bays. The central doorway has an architrave and a bracketed hood, and the windows are mullioned with three lights, and contain sashes. Inside, there is a central corridor with rooms either side. On the right is the parlour, with a serving hatch, and behind it is a small bar and snug. On the left is a room named the "piggery", with a large fireplace, and behind is a room named "Wrinkley Lodge". The floors have flagstones.

Nidd Bridge railway station served the village of Nidd, North Yorkshire, England from 1848 to 1964 on the Leeds-Northallerton Railway.

Grove House is a former inn, school, house and orphanage on Skipton Road, Harrogate in North Yorkshire. Built in 1745–54 as World's End Inn, it was later greatly expanded as the home of the prominent inventor Samson Fox. It was the first house in Yorkshire to have lighting by water gas. It is Grade II* listed on the National Heritage List for England.

The Grove Academy (formerly Harrogate Pupil Referral Service) is a mixed alternative provision secondary school, located in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. It provides for pupils who are unable to attend a mainstream school for reasons including illness or behaviour. The school had an enrolment of 10 pupils in 2016. Its current headteacher is Catherine Farrell.In September 2013 the Harrogate Pupil Referral Service converted to academy status under the sponsorship of Schools Partnership Academies Trust (now Delta Academies Trust), reopening as The Grove Academy.In 2015 it was rated as 'Outstanding' (Grade 1) by Ofsted.

The Wesleyan Methodist Chapel is a Grade II listed building in Grove Road, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. It was built in 1896 as a 1,000-seat Wesleyan Methodist chapel but has since been converted into a six-bedroom house.
