Charlbury Hill

Ridgeway is an electoral ward in the Borough of Swindon, England. Since 2000, the ward has elected one councillor to Swindon Borough Council.

Hinton Parva, also known as Little Hinton, is a village in the Borough of Swindon in Wiltshire, England. It lies about 2 miles (3.2 km) from the eastern edge of the Swindon built-up area, and is separated from the town by farmland and the village of Wanborough. Hinton Parva was a separate civil parish until 1934, and is now in the parish of Bishopstone. Parts of the village were taken over by the War Department during World War II in 1943 to store tanks. The Norman parish church of St Swithun is a Grade I listed building. An area around the church was designated a conservation area in 1990.

Foxhill motocross circuit is a well-known motocross circuit situated near to the small village of Foxhill, around six miles south east of Swindon, Wiltshire, England. Established in the late 1980s, the circuit is highly regarded by motocross enthusiasts in the UK. Set in a valley, much of the circuit winds up and down the steep banks of the valley, with a number of large man-made jumps. The circuit is predominantly hard, chalky soil.

The Coombes, Hinton Parva (grid reference SU228826) is a 15.9 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Wiltshire, notified in 1989. The Coombes, made up of chalk grassland, is owned by the National Trust.

Bishopstone is a village and civil parish in the Swindon unitary authority of Wiltshire, England, about 6 miles (10 km) east of Swindon, and on the county border with Oxfordshire. Since 1934 the parish has included the village of Hinton Parva. Bishopstone lies on the north slope of the Lambourn Downs, overlooking the Vale of White Horse. It is between Wanborough and Ashbury on the historic Icknield Way. The village has a public house, the Royal Oak, and a number of thatched cottages, centred on a mill-pond. The village is often used as a base for walkers on the Ridgeway National Trail. The Ridgeway above Bishopstone is a byway open to motor vehicles between April and October. On the downs above Bishopstone are medieval field systems known as lynchets and many other historic earth-workings.

King Edward's Place is a country house at Foxhill near Wanborough and Liddington in Wiltshire. It is currently known as PGL Liddington and is owned and operated by children's adventure holiday operator PGL. Previous names for the estate include Foxhill Stud Farm and Foxhill Manor. The house is believed to have been bought for King Edward VII to entertain his long-time mistress Lillie Langtry, and has been at various times a racehorse stud yard, a conference centre, and latterly an outdoor education centre.

Idstone is a hamlet in the civil parish of Ashbury in the Vale of White Horse. Idstone was part of Berkshire until the 1974 boundary changes transferred the Vale of White Horse to Oxfordshire. Idstone is about 6 miles (10 km) east of Swindon in neighbouring Wiltshire.

Horpit is an agricultural hamlet in the parish of Wanborough in the north-eastern corner of Wiltshire county, England. Horpit lies in the clay vale to the northwest of the Marlborough Downs.

Wanborough is a large village and civil parish in the borough of Swindon, Wiltshire, England. The village is about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) southeast of Swindon town centre. The settlement along the High Street is Lower Wanborough, while Upper Wanborough is on higher ground to the southwest. The parish includes the hamlets of Horpit (a short distance north of Wanborough) and Foxhill, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to the southeast.

St Andrew's Church is in the village of Wanborough in north Wiltshire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the Diocese of Bristol, one of only three churches in England to have a western tower and a central spire. It has been designated a Grade I listed building.

Liddington is a village and civil parish near Swindon in Wiltshire, England. The settlement lies southeast of Swindon town, close to junction 15 of the M4 motorway, which is approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) away via the B4192.
