West Harbour is an affluent suburb of Auckland, located to the west of the Auckland isthmus and CBD. It is named for its location on the western side of the Waitematā Harbour. West Harbour is under the governance of Auckland Council after the amalgamation of district councils in 2010. Local features include many public reserves (the most prominent being Luckens Reserve, which in 2014 received a basketball court), tennis courts, two local primary schools, West Harbour School and Marina View School, a Church, and farm land. West Harbour is home to Hobsonville Marina, a large marina catering to around 600 of private leisure boats and yachts, which was part of the route the Royal Family took during their 2014 visit. As the unique terrain of West Harbour, most of the houses have a magnificent sea view and city view, which makes the suburb one of the exclusive suburbs in Auckland City and home to hundreds of multi-million dollar houses and mansions. West Harbour has the highest median house price in Waitakere City.

Te Atatū Peninsula (formerly Te Atatu North, also known in Māori as Ōrukuwai) is a waterfront suburb of West Auckland surrounded by the Waitematā Harbour. The area was home to brickworks and farmland until the Northwestern Motorway was constructed in the 1950s, after which Te Atatū developed a low and medium-cost suburb. The area south of the motorway became known as Te Atatū South. The Auckland Harbour Board intended to develop a port on the peninsula for much of the 20th century. After plans for this were abandoned, the land was redeveloped into Footrot Flats Fun Park, an amusement park which operated in the 1980s. During the late 2010s, large-scale housing intensification led to the population of Te Atatū greatly expanding.

The Semadeni residence, also known as the Red Brick Villa, is a historic Edwardian villa located in Te Atatū Peninsula, Auckland, New Zealand. The property is the oldest extant building in Te Atatū Peninsula.

Footrot Flats Fun Park was a theme park in Te Atatū Peninsula, West Auckland, New Zealand. Opening in 1982 as Leisureland, the park rebranded to be themed around the Murray Ball cartoon Footrot Flats in 1984. During the 1980s, it was the largest theme park in New Zealand. In its final year of operation, the park rebranded as Something Different Fun Park, before closing in 1989.

Rutherford College (formerly named Rutherford High School from 1961 to 2001) is a co-educational state secondary school on the Te Atatū Peninsula, Auckland, New Zealand. It is named after New Zealand-born nuclear physicist and chemist Ernest Rutherford.

The Westgate Pedestrian and Cycle Bridge is a 209 metres (686 ft) long motorway overbridge crossing the Northwestern Motorway near Westgate in Auckland, New Zealand. Construction began in late 2012 and was completed in January 2013.The 3-metre-wide (9.8 ft) bridge catering for both pedestrians and cyclists, as well as mobility-impaired users. It was designed and built by Jasmax architects, Aurecon Consulting Engineers and HEB Construction, and cost approximately $6 million, paid for by Auckland Transport and NZTA. The initial bridge works included work in the Manutewhau Walk Reserve on the eastern side of the bridge, including replacing pine trees with native trees.Initially, the main function is to provide a west–east connection for the local area, though in the long run, it is intended to link into a future extension of the Northwestern Cycleway up to the bridge.

Radio Tarana is a New Zealand radio network, broadcasting in Auckland. It broadcasts a mixture of music, information, news, sports, culture, events coverage and lifestyle features. The station was the first commercial full-time New Zealand radio station targeting migrant communities. According to the 2014 TNS New Zealand radio survey, it remains the highest-rating ethnic broadcaster in the country. Robert Khan set up the station in 1996 for Auckland's Indian and Hindi-speaking community. It now targets a broad range of Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan and Fijian migrants around New Zealand. The network aims to foster mutual understanding between different migrant groups with diverse interests, religions and ethnic origins. This is done in part through the coverage of religious festivals, international news events and local political issues. Tarana broadcasts in Auckland on 1386 AM, reaching a weekly audience of 32,000 in the Auckland market during a survey in 2014. Radio agency The Radio Bureau claims these listeners have "significant spending capacity" and "high disposable incomes". With nationwide coverage through online streaming, digital radio, mobile devices, satellite radio and an estimated 22,000 weekly web browsers, it claims to reach a total audience based on about 80,000.

Clark House is an early 20th century Italianate home in Hobsonville, Auckland, New Zealand, listed as a Category I building by Heritage New Zealand. The house began construction in the late 1890s as the family home for Rice Owen Clark II, a wealthy owner of a nearby pottery business.

Massey is a northern suburb in West Auckland, New Zealand. It was formerly a northern suburb of Waitakere City, which existed from 1989 to 2010 before the city was amalgamated into Auckland Council. The suburb was named after former Prime Minister of New Zealand William Massey. Massey is a relatively large suburb and can be divided into three reasonably distinctive areas, Massey West, Massey East (separated by the north-western motorway) and Massey North (situated to the north of Royal Road). Parts of Massey East are also known as 'Royal Heights', which is home to the Royal Heights shopping centre. The suburb features the Massey YMCA Leisure Centre, Library. The Westgate Shopping Centre on Hobsonville Road next to the north-western motorway and NorthWest Shopping Centre (which opened in October, 2015) to the north of Hobsonville Road are north of Massey.
