SeaPort Manatee

Piney Point phosphate plant is an industrial site in Manatee County, Florida and the location of a former fertilizer plant. The land is currently owned by HRK Holdings, which leases portions of the land to industrial tenants under the name Eastport.In March 2021, a phosphogypsum stack, the dam to the reservoir storing wastewater from phosphate tailings created by from the former plant's operations, began to fail, prompting evacuations on April 1 followed by the governor of Florida issuing a state of emergency on April 3. Contaminated toxic water was discharged into Tampa Bay in an effort to prevent the reservoir's collapse.

It is located on Terra Ceia Island on the Southern shore of Tampa Bay near the intersection of US 19 and I-275, at the southern end of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

Cockroach Bay Aquatic Preserve is a protected area that includes 4,800 acres of partially submerged lands in Hillsborough County near Ruskin, Florida south of Tampa, Florida. Archaeological evidence from indigenous tribes has been found in the area. The coastal uplands, freshwater wetlands and estuarine habitats provide sanctuary for young fish including red drum and snook as well as numerous birds, crustaceans and other species. Aquatic habitats include seagrass and oyster beds.The area was farmland and mining pits before a 21-year restoration that included approximately 2,500 volunteers, environmental groups, and government agencies. The area was dedicated in 2012. It includes 651 acres and has hosted at least 300 species of bird. The preserve's street address is at 3709 Gulf City Road in Ruskin, Florida.Cockroach Bay has frequently been noted on lists of unusual place names.

The Terra Ceia Village Improvement Association Hall built in 1906 is an historic building located at 1505 Center Road in Terra Ceia, Florida. Also known as the Terra Ceia Woman's Club, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 16, 2003, as part of the Clubhouses of Florida's Woman's Clubs Multiple Property Submission (MPS).

The Madira Bickel Mound State Archaeological Site is an archaeological site on Terra Ceia Island in northwestern Palmetto, Florida, United States. It is located on Bayshore Drive, west of U.S. 19, a mile south of I-275. On August 12, 1970, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It is also a Florida State Park. The 10-acre (0.040 km2) site was the first Native American location in Florida to be designated as a State Archaeological Site.
