Nimtali Palace

The Nimtali arch (known in Bengali as Nimtali Deuri) is an arch in Dhaka, Bangladesh dating from the Mughal period. It was the gateway to the palace of the Naib Nazim of Dhaka, the deputy governor of Bengal Subah in the Mughal Empire. Today, the structure is located on the premises of the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh and houses the Asiatic Society Heritage Museum. It is a public museum showcasing Dhaka's history in the 18th and 19th centuries.

The Asiatic Society of Bangladesh is a non political and non profit research organisation registered under both Society Act of 1864 and NGO Bureau, Government of Bangladesh. The Asiatic Society of Bangladesh was established as the Asiatic Society of East Pakistan in Dhaka in 1952 by a number of Muslim leaders, and renamed in 1972. Ahmed Hasan Dani, a noted Muslim historian and archaeologist of Pakistan played an important role in founding this society. He was assisted by Muhammad Shahidullah, a Bengali linguist. The society is housed in Nimtali, walking distance from the Curzon Hall of Dhaka University, locality of Old Dhaka.

Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall is one of the three founding residential halls of the University of Dhaka. Established in 1921 as Lyton Hall it was subsequently renamed Dhaka Hall and renamed again for the famous linguist Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah following his death in 1969.It is located behind Curzon Hall and has a main building accommodation with two extensions. Only science faculty students are accommodated here. Dr. Shahidullah is buried within the grounds.

On 18 September 2024, Tofazzal Hossain was beaten to death by students at Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall in the University of Dhaka. Accused of stealing cellphones, Hossain was subjected to severe physical violence which lead to his death.

Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall is one of the oldest residential halls of Dhaka University.

Government Employees Hospital is being established in eight divisions of Bangladesh with the aim of providing improved healthcare services to all government officers and employees. These hospitals are being set up under the initiative of the Government of Bangladesh and will be operated under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Administration. Through these hospitals, all government employees of Bangladesh will receive medical services. Each of these hospitals will be named as a Divisional Government Employees Hospital. For the management of all Government Employees Hospitals in Bangladesh, a Director General (DG) and an Additional Director General (ADG) will be appointed.

Shaikh Burhanuddin Post Graduate College is a college in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 1965.

Musa Khan Mosque is one of the few Mughal structures on Bangladesh that stands in the southern part of the country's capital Dhaka. Built in 18th century the mosque holds significant historical values and is named after the son of medieval Bengal's one of the most prominent Baro-Bhuyans, Isa Khan's son Musa Khan. The structure was erected during the Mughal regime in Bengal by the grandson of Musa Khan, Diwan Munawar Khan.The three-domed mosque is currently situated in the University of Dhaka campus, beside Shahidullah Hall and behind the Curzon Hall. The mosque is now under significant threat due to a metro-rail project of the government of Bangladesh and is included in the list of 75 structures that may face serious consequences due to the metro-rail.

On the morning of April 4, 2023, a massive fire erupted in the clothing market of Bangabazar, located in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. This fire resulted in the utter devastation of the market, leaving thousands of stores destroyed and numerous structures damaged.

Dhaka University Ground is a major public ground hosting matches of domestic and inter-collegiate cricket and football in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.Only first class cricket match held on 21 May 1966 between Decca Vs. Public Works Department.The ground hosted inter-hall, intra hall sports every year. It is also used for university's convocation ceremony.

Fulbaria Railway Station is a defunct railway station in Bangladesh which was located in Dhaka. It was the central railway station of Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) before Kamalapur railway station came into operation. The station was closed when trains started running at the new station from 1 May 1968.

Shrine of Gulab Shah is an Islamic shrine situated at Shahid Nazrul Islam Avenue, Gulistan, Dhaka. It is under the management of Dhaka South City Corporation. The shrine has two tombs which is accessible from the north. The tombs are said to be Gulab Shah and his brother's graves. It's former name is "Neemgachwala Mazar". The shrine had a temporary mosque which was moved near the Osmani Park in the 1980s. Its origin is unknown. according to legends, the shrine has the tomb of Gulab Shah was a spiritual leader came to British India from Yemen or Iraq in 19th century. However, the historians says that the there was a grave of unknown people and later people started to visit it believing that it was belongs to a spiritual leader. A person named Gulab Shah used to looked after the grave and after his death he was buried beside the grave. Later people started to call it as the shrine of Gulab Shah. The shrine is popular to newlyweds who believes that visiting the shrine would bring positivity to their life. Mehfil is held annually here in Sha'ban 19. In 2013, Dhaka South City Corporation started to extend the shrine which resulted negative reactions as the shrine's background is unknown and questionable. As of 2023, it gets around ৳0.9 million every month from followers of Gulab Shah. It is alleged that local political leaders get money from donations collected at the shrine.
