Stockbridge Village is an area of Knowsley in Merseyside, England. The population of the ward at the 2011 census was 6,018. It was the subject of an article in a special report by The Economist entitled "A new kind of ghetto", which described it a predominantly White area of high unemployment and low aspirations.

Bradbury Fields is a charity based in Liverpool, UK, which works with blind and partially sighted people. It has been described by the BBC as "Liverpool's main charity for the blind" and is part of the 800 Group, a consortium of Merseyside health and care charities.

Page Moss is an area in the borough of Knowsley, Merseyside. It borders the city of Liverpool to the east. Previously known as "The Horns" due to the name of two buildings previously sited in the area. The population of the Knowsley ward taken at the 2011 census was 7,076.The A57/Liverpool Road which passes through Page Moss was historically an early turnpike, toll houses were installed during the 1700s on what later became well known public houses in the area such as "The Eagle and Child" and "The Bluebell Inn". Markers were placed at mile intervals along the toll road and an original still stands to this day alongside the eastbound side of Liverpool Road opposite the junction with Lyme Cross Road, previously a mile marker would be situated on the corner of Twig Lane but this has been missing since at least the 1930s when the Page Moss estate was constructed for housing. On 30 June 2008 the neighbourhood was featured on the BBC TV documentary series Panorama, focusing upon the local youth gang culture, namely the "Moss Edz" and their feuds with adjoining areas, specifically Dovecot, whom they refer to as "Dovey Edz". The two areas are less than a mile apart.

Broughton Hall is a Gothic house at Yew Tree Lane West Derby, Liverpool, England, built in 1860 for Gustav Christian Schwabe, a Liverpool merchant originating from Hamburg. The conservatory added between 1870 and 1880 is of special interest. The house was used as a preparatory school run by Roman Catholic nuns, but now Broughton Hall High School is an all-girls Roman Catholic comprehensive school with boys in the sixth form.

Dovecot is an eastern district of Liverpool, England. Other names for Dovecot include Diddcot and Diddy Town. It is situated to the east edge of the city and is bordered by the districts of knotty Ash, West Derby, and Broadgreen, and to the east Roby. The area is part of the Knotty Ash ward of Liverpool City Council.

Deysbrook Barracks was a regular army barracks in West Derby in Liverpool. The barracks was used by 59th (Volunteers) Signal Regiment of the Royal Signals until around 2000.

Knotty Ash is a Liverpool City Council Ward in the Liverpool West Derby Parliamentary constituency. It was formed for the 2004 Municipal elections from the former Broadgreen ward taking small parts from Childwall, Croxteth and Dovecot.

The Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley is a metropolitan borough in Merseyside, North West England. It covers several towns and villages, including Kirkby, Prescot, Huyton, Whiston, Halewood, Cronton and Stockbridge Village; Kirkby, Huyton, and Prescot being the major commercial centres. It takes its name from the village of Knowsley, though its headquarters are in Huyton. It forms part of the wider Liverpool City Region. Within the boundaries of the historic county of Lancashire, the borough was formed on 1 April 1974 by the merger of Huyton-with-Roby Urban District, Kirkby Urban District and Prescot Urban District, along with most of Whiston Rural District and a small part of West Lancashire Rural District, all from the administrative county of Lancashire. It is known for Knowsley Hall and Knowsley Safari Park.

On 22 August 2007, Rhys Milford Jones, an eleven-year-old English boy, was murdered in Liverpool while walking home from football practice. Sean Mercer, aged 16 at the time of the shooting, went on trial on 2 October 2008, and was found guilty of murder on 16 December. Mercer was sentenced to life imprisonment serving a minimum of 22 years.
