Mattar MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Downtown line in Geylang planning area, Singapore. As its name suggests, it is located underneath Mattar Road, at the junction of Merpati Road. The station serves places such as Canossa Convent School, Masjid Sallim Mattar and The Church of St Stephen (Roman Catholic). One of the entrances is adjacent to the Circuit Road hawker centre.

TCA College (Singapore) is an accredited multi-disciplinary college founded by Trinity Christian Centre (Singapore) in 1979. It started as a Bible College in Singapore and is now one of the largest local Pentecostal/Charismatic accredited institutions.

MacPherson MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the Downtown line and Circle line in Geylang planning area, Singapore, located underneath Paya Lebar Road at the junction with Circuit Link and Ubi Avenue 2. Named after the nearby MacPherson estate, which itself was named after Colonel Ronald MacPherson, the first Colonial Secretary of the Straits Settlements in 1867, this station serves not only the residents of MacPherson estate but also the working class in Ubi industrial estate.

MacPherson is a neighbourhood located within the district of Geylang in the Central Region of Singapore. Its location roughly corresponds to the identically titled subzone in the Geylang Planning Area and is approximately sandwiched between the neighbourhoods of Aljunied and Paya Lebar. MacPherson largely consists of various public housing estates centered on Circuit Road and an industrial area. The Pelton Canal runs through the neighbourhood, which separates a private housing estate off MacPherson Road, and the public housing estate along Circuit Road. Many residents in MacPherson are of the older generation, largely stemming from the fact that it was one of the first few major public housing projects to be enacted during the 1950s to 1970s. As a result, the majority of facilities in MacPherson are wheelchair and elderly-friendly. Nevertheless, there has been multiple built-to-order (BTO) public housing developments being constructed, such as MacPherson Spring and other developments such as MacPherson Weave, where construction is still in progress and are geared towards newly established young families. It is served by MacPherson Community Club, which is operated by the People's Association (PA) with Residents' Committee (RCs) and Neighbourhood Committees (NCs) scattered around the entire neighbourhood. They organise various programmes for residents to interact and promote community involvement. Politically, it is represented in Parliament as the MacPherson Single Member Constituency, with Tin Pei Ling of the People's Action Party (PAP) as its Member of Parliament (MP) since 2011.

The Sallim Mattar Mosque (Malay: Masjid Sallim Mattar) is a mosque in Singapore serving the Muslim community in the Macpherson Estate. It organizes madrasahs on Sunday and the Friday Prayer. It is located along Mattar Road opposite Macpherson Primary School. This mosque was originally built in 1960 by Shaikh Sallim Mattar, a Singaporean Arab. The mosque was reminiscent of village suraus in the 1960s. It has since been redeveloped to accommodate 1,400 people. It is situated within walking distance from Darul Ihsan, an orphanage. The mosque's main patrons are Muslims working around the Macpherson industrial estate as well as residents living nearby. The mosque opens from 9:00 to 18:00.

The Public Transport Security Command (TransCom) is a specialised transit police unit of the Singapore Police Force (SPF). It was first established as the Police MRT Unit (PMU) in 2005 as a component unit of the Special Operations Command in response to the need for greater security in public transport operations in Singapore influenced by security concerns at the time. On 15 August 2009, the unit was upgraded into a separate specialist division and took its present name.

The Protective Security Command (ProCom) is a specialist counter-terrorist police unit of the Singapore Police Force (SPF). ProCom was formed to build up Singapore Police Force's public security capabilities and project police presence at security-sensitive locations. On 8 July 2016, the unit was commissioned. An evolving public security landscape and the changing demographics of Singapore created the impetus for the transformation of the Key Installations Command (KINS), which was once part of the Police National Service Department (PNSD), into ProCom, a stand-alone specialist line unit involved in Singapore Police Force's fight against terrorism. The unit has the largest group of Full-time National Servicemen (NSFs) and Operationally Ready National Servicemen (NSmen) in the Singapore Police Force.

Biblical Graduate School of Theology (BGST) is an evangelical theological seminary in Singapore. The current principal is Lai Pak Wah.

Tai Seng MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Circle line, situated along the boundary of Hougang and Toa Payoh planning areas, Singapore. Located underneath Upper Paya Lebar Road near the junction of MacPherson Road and Airport Road, Tai Seng station was named after and primarily serves the industrial clusters at Tai Seng, which in turn means "big accomplishment" in Chinese. The name was first used on a rubber factory constructed in the area in 1917.

Kembangan is a subzone and residential precinct located in the town of Bedok in the East Region of Singapore. It consists largely of private residential areas and a small public housing estate along Lengkong Tiga.

Nexus International School (Singapore) (NISS) is located at Aljunied Walk where its new campus now stands. It moved over to Aljunied in January 2020 from its previous location in Ulu Pandan Road off Pandan Valley. The school caters from Nursery up to Year 13 (ages 3 to 18). NISS enrolled its first learners in July 2011 and has over 900 students from around 50 countries. NISS is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), an approved Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Centre, EduTrust certified, an Apple Distinguished School, fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and is also an authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, authorised to offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Its facilities include an Olympic-sized swimming pool, two gymnasiums, a two-tiered theatre, double-storey library, and a FIFA and World Rugby specified AstroTurf pitch. Co-curricular activities such as Swimming, Hip Hop, Taekwondo, Drama, Learn the Piano, Race Car Engineering and Make & Build your own Skate Park are offered. NISS also participates in sports competitions organised by the Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools and has been the official host for the FINA Swimming World Cup Swim Meets since 2017. The academic year runs from August to June.

Certis is one of the five commercial auxiliary police forces authorized to provide armed security officers to government organizations as well as private companies or individuals in Singapore. Certis originated from the Guard and Escort unit of the Singapore Police Force (SPF), which was separated from the SPF as the Commercial and Industrial Security Corporation (CISCO) in 1972 as a statutory board with a monopoly over most areas of the local private armed security industry. From 1 June 2005, the statutory board was dissolved and Cisco Security Pte Ltd was formed upon its corporatisation as a fully owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings, and inaugurated on 5 July 2005. The abbreviation of the former statutory board, "CISCO", was retained due to its reputation in the local market. The company was renamed as Certis CISCO Security Pte Ltd on 13 September 2007 and as Certis in 2018. As the oldest Auxiliary Police Force with a monopoly over most of the private armed security sector in Singapore for 33 years, Certis maintains a visible presence in many key establishments, including the private residences of VVIPs. They were deployed in major events such as the Singapore 2006 IMF Meetings, the New Year Countdown at Marina Bay in 2007 and 2008, the Chingay Parade and the Thaipusam processions. They also continue to dominate some services such as the transportation of valuables, most visibly in the form of delivering cash to automated teller machines.
