KCCT (1150 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Corpus Christi, Texas. It is owned by Manuel Davila, Jr., and airs a classic tejano format. The studios, offices and transmitter are off Benys Road in Corpus Christi. Programming is also heard on FM translator K281AV at 104.1 MHz. The station calls itself "Retro Tejano 104.1".

KKTX (1360 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Corpus Christi, Texas. It airs a talk radio format and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. The studios and offices on Old Brownsville Road near the Corpus Christi International Airport. KKTX is powered at 1,000 watts using a non-directional antenna. The transmitter is on McBride Lane at Erin Drive.

On the morning of March 31, 1995, American singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez was shot by Yolanda Saldívar, the president of Selena's fan club, at the Days Inn in Corpus Christi, Texas, shortly after Saldívar was exposed as having embezzled thousands of dollars from Selena's earnings. Although the healthcare team tried to revive Selena, she died of hypovolemic shock. The Latino community was deeply affected by the news of Selena's death; some people traveled thousands of miles to visit her home, boutiques, and the crime scene, while churches with large congregations of Latinos held prayers in her name. All major television networks in the United States interrupted their regular programming to break the news. The public's reaction to Selena's death was compared to those that followed the deaths of John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, and John F. Kennedy. Radio personality Howard Stern mocked Selena's murder, burial, and her mourners, and criticized her music, playing her songs with gunshots in the background, causing an uproar among the Latino population. On April 12, 1995, two weeks after her death, then-Texas governor George W. Bush declared her birthday Selena Day in Texas. At the time of Selena's death, Tejano music was one of the most popular Latin music subgenres in the United States. She was called the "Queen of Tejano music" and became the first Latina artist to have a predominantly Spanish-language album—Dreaming of You (1995)—debut and peak at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. After her death, the popularity of Tejano music waned. During Saldívar's trial for the murder—called the "trial of the century" and the most important trial for the Latino population—Saldívar said she accidentally shot Selena while attempting suicide. Saldívar was sentenced to life imprisonment. Jennifer Lopez was cast as Selena in a 1997 biopic film about her life and achieved fame after the film's release.

KBSO (94.7 FM, "Retro 94.7") is a radio station broadcasting a classic hits format and licensed to Corpus Christi, Texas, United States. The station is currently owned by Reina Broadcasting Inc.

Nueces Bay is a northwestern extension of Corpus Christi Bay in the San Patricio and Nueces Counties of Texas. The bay is fed by the Nueces River, forming a natural estuary, which renders it ecologically and economically vital to the surrounding area. It serves as a habitat for the propagation of fish and shellfish, which sustain diverse species of birds and other wildlife. The bay is threatened by pollution from the heavy industry on its southern shore, which prevents oyster farming. Petrochemical production and oil are important to the surrounding economies of the major settlements of Corpus Christi and Portland, found on the eastern shore and connected by the Nueces Bay Causeway at the bay's confluence with Corpus Christi Bay. Agriculture dominates the northern shore, where many plots of land are still owned by the descendants of early settlers. The largely abandoned historical communities of Rosita and West Portland are also located in this area. To the west, the Odem Bay extension is formed, and is fed by Rincon Bayou and a large complex of marsh formed by the Nueces River delta. Just south of the mouth are the remains of the abandoned Nuecestown settlement, which is now included in the Corpus Christi city limits.

Coast Guard Air Station Corpus Christi is an Air Station of the United States Coast Guard located in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Station is co-located with Sector Corpus Christi offices at Corpus Christi International Airport . The Coast Guard Air Detachment was established on 20 November 1950, and served the entire western Gulf of Mexico with one PBY-5 Catalina fixed wing aircraft, and four pilots. In 1965, the detachment was formally designated USCG Air Station Corpus Christi. Early aircraft consisted of HU-16E Albatross, HH-52A Seaguard helicopter, HC-131 Samaritan, and HU-25A fanjet's. Following extensive personnel and equipment changes in the operations department, the air station became fully operational on October 15, 1980, and operated as one of thirteen Coast Guard Group units between Port O'Connor, Texas and the Mexican border. The Station, maintained a 24-hour Search and rescue capability, with the use of three HH-52A helicopters and three HU-25A fanjets. The Unit averaged over 400 rescues a year, which included searches for overdue vessels, assisting sinking or disabled boats, and medical evacuations from offshore oil rigs. In the spring of 1986 the station's HH-52s were replaced with the Aérospatiale HH-65 Dolphin helicopter. In May 2005 the Coast Guard commissioned Air station Corpus Christi to combine all the units within the area of Port Lavaca to Brownsville under one unified command.

KEYS (1440 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Corpus Christi, Texas. It has a talk radio format and is owned by Malkan AM Associates, L.P. The studios and offices are on Leopard Street in Corpus Christi. By day, KEYS is powered at 1,000 watts non-directional. But at night, to protect other stations on 1440 AM from interference, it reduces power to 199 watts. The transmitter is on Agnes Street near Flato Road in Corpus Christi. Programming is also heard on 250-watt FM translator K254DH at 98.7 MHz.

West Oso High School is a public school in Corpus Christi, Texas (USA). It is part of the West Oso Independent School District. Located at 754 Flato Rd., the school serves students in grades nine through twelve. The school mascot, the bear, is taken from the district's name, which is taken from nearby Oso Bay (Oso is Spanish for bear). In addition to a section of Corpus Christi, the district includes most of Tierra Grande.

Roy Miller High School is a public high school located in the city of Corpus Christi, Texas, United States and classified as a 5A school by the UIL. It is a part of the Corpus Christi Independent School District. The school was known as Corpus Christi High School until 1950. It is the oldest high school in the city.

The Port of Corpus Christi is the largest port in the United States in total revenue tonnage, third largest in total waterway tonnage, and the largest crude oil export gateway in the nation. The Port of Corpus Christi is located on Corpus Christi Bay in the western Gulf of Mexico, with a 36-mile channel that is being widened and deepened to 54 feet MLLW from its current depth of 45 feet.The Port of Corpus Christi’s headquarters, the Executive Administration Building, is located near the entrance the Inner Harbor (adjacent to Downtown Corpus Christi) in Nueces County. The Port operates as an independent subdivision of the State of Texas and is governed by state Navigation Code. The Port of Corpus Christi’s operations are funded without any city, county or state tax dollars.

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Memorial (formerly known as Corpus Christi Memorial Hospital) was a 465-bed hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas that was part of the CHRISTUS Spohn Health System, operated by CHRISTUS Health. It ceased all operations in September 2022, and was demolished in April 2023.
