Ipswich Town Hall is a municipal building in Ipswich, in the county of Suffolk, England. It is a Grade II listed building.

The Cornhill in Ipswich is a historic town square in the centre of Ipswich, Suffolk. The square has been a gathering place for many centuries in the town, the earliest recorded event was the execution of the Ipswich Martyrs in the 16th century. In the present-day, the Cornhill hosts various events such as Christmas markets, live music shows, and outdoor screenings of notable broadcasts, such as the proms. The square is surrounded by grand Victorian buildings built as the town's wealth was booming from sheep wool and dock trade. The prominent Ipswich Town Hall building is located on the Cornhill.

The Ipswich Built-up Area is a Built up Area, a statistical unit devised by the UK Office of National Statistics to organise data for an urban area which extends from the town of Ipswich to Kesgrave, Woodbridge, Bramford and Martlesham Heath in Suffolk, England. The area takes in the borough of Ipswich, parts of the East Suffolk and part of the Mid Suffolk. The area was recorded at having a population of 178,835.According to the 2011 census, the gender makeup of the population was 88,482 male and 90,353 female. The ethnic makeup of the whole urban area was 91% white and 4% Asian. Other ethnic minorities were around 5%. The religious make up of the whole area was:

The Falcon Inn is a public house located at the junction of Queen Street and Falcon Street in Ipswich Suffolk. Located at 1 Falcon street it was owned by the Falcon Brewery located next door at 5 Falcon Street. References to the Falcon go back to August 1728 when the Ipswich Journal announced a shooting competition at "the sign of the Falcon" in St Nicholas Parish, Ipswich. During the eighteenth century, John Curtis has been identified as running the pub, moving there from the Cock and Pye, Ipswich in 1743. He died the next year and John Osborn took over. From at least 1816 it was owned by a succession of three people called Robert Bowman. By 1855 by Alfred Bowman was in charge, and he sold the business by auction in that year. By 1865 it was owned by Bridges and Cuthbert, who established a company that also acquired the Cross Keys Brewery, Culver St, Colchester, but went bankrupt in 1868. It passed into the hands of the Norfolk & Suffolk Brewery Co Ltd in 1886, which was then renamed the Colchester Brewing Company the next year, at which time the Falcon Brewery was closed. The pub then started selling Ind Coope products and was run by the pubs group Punch. In 2010 the Falcon Inn became known as "Bowmans Bar and Lounge". However, this closed due to bankruptcy in 2017. The pub reopened in 2018, once again as the Falcon. The pub had an attached music hall where the Ipswich Industrial Co-operative Society was founded on 3 March 1868.

It is a member of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches, the umbrella organisation for British Unitarians. The present building was opened by John Fairfax in 1700. Much of the original interior remains intact.

The Buttermarket Centre is a four-level, £65 million shopping centre located in the centre of Ipswich, Suffolk, England. The centre was opened on 1 October 1992, comprising 270,000 square feet (25,000 m2) over four levels. There is also a 430-space underground car park covering two levels under the shopping centre. There is also access from the car park to the shopping centre via lifts and stairs. The anchor stores (upon opening) were Owen Owen and C&A, however TK Maxx is now the anchor store comprising 120,000 square feet (11,000 m2) of floor space. The shopping has 32 retail units including Boots, Starbucks and Julian Graves.

Sailmakers shopping centre (formerly known as Tower Ramparts) is a small multi-story shopping centre located in Ipswich, England. It was opened to the public in November 1986. It is currently owned and operated by LaSalle Investment Management, who purchased the centre in 2011.

St Mary at the Elms is a Church of England church in Ipswich, England. Historically it was located in the West Ward,Ipswich, but is now in Alexandra Ward, Ipswich.

The Willis Building (originally the Willis Faber & Dumas regional headquarters) in Ipswich, Suffolk, England, is one of the earliest buildings designed by Norman Foster and Wendy Cheesman after establishing Foster Associates. Constructed between 1970 and 1975 for the insurance firm now known as Willis Towers Watson, it is widely considered a landmark in the development of the 'high tech' architectural style. The building houses some 1,300 office staff in open-plan offices spread over three floors.

St Lawrence Church is a Grade II* listed church in Ipswich, Suffolk, that is now used as a community centre. The 15th-century church has the oldest ring of five church bells in the world.

The Ancient House, also known as Sparrowe's House, is a Grade I listed building dating from the 15th century located in the Buttermarket area of Ipswich, Suffolk, England. In 1980 the building was acquired by Ipswich Borough Council. The building sports detailed pargeting, and also elaborate wood carvings around the front of the house. Four panels of pargeting show a Tudor impression of the world. The continents Africa, America, Asia and Europe are shown—notably lacking Australia, which had not been discovered at the time. Africa is represented by a naked man holding a spear, Asia by a horse and a mosque-like building, Europe by a woman with a horse and a church-like building, and America by a man with a dog at his feet. The building features the Ipswich window.The front of the building as it can be seen today (in a restored state), was not an original feature—it was added by Robert Sparrowe between 1660 and 1670. It bears the Royal Arms of King Charles II, and the words "Honi soit qui mal y pense". This is Old French for "Shame upon him who thinks evil of it", and is also the motto of the Order of the Garter.

Curson Lodge is a 15th century, Grade II* listed building at 45 and 45A St Nicholas Street in Ipswich. It was restored in 2007 with funds from the Ipswich Building Preservation Trust, a loan from the Architectural Heritage Fund and grants from and Ipswich Borough Council and English Heritage. The rest of the mansion extended along the other side of Silent Street and Peter Street. The building acquired the name "Curson Lodge" during this restoration because it was part of a complex of buildings comprising the mansion of Robert Curson, a Tudor courtier. The rest of the mansion extended along the other side of Silent Street and Saint Peter Street as far down as Rose Lane. Curson Lodge is composed of 3 buildings which were listed at different times: 1 Silent Street, also 47 St Nicholas Street (No. 1265084), 3–9 Silent Street (No. 1235576), both listed on 19 December 1951, and 45 and 45a St Nicholas Street (No. 1235464), listed on 4 August 1972.
