Nieuwerkerk Windmill

Nieuwerkerk is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, and lies about 23 km south of Hellevoetsluis. Nieuwerkerk was a separate municipality until 1961, when the new municipality of Duiveland was created.

The Watersnoodmonument (1961), also known as The Drowning Man, is a memorial in the Dutch village of Nieuwe-Tonge, in the province of South Holland.

Duiveland is the name of a former island and a former municipality in the Dutch province of Zeeland. The island of Duiveland was joined to Schouwen in 1610, forming the island of Schouwen-Duiveland. It is the eastern part of the current island. The municipality of Duiveland was created in 1961 from the former municipalities of Nieuwerkerk, Ouwerkerk, and Oosterland. In 1997, it merged into the new municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland.

Sirjansland is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, and lies about 19 km south of Hellevoetsluis.

Beldert or Belder is a hamlet in Schouwen-Duiveland, in Zeeland, Netherlands. It is located south of Dreischor. It was historically known for its harbor, but lost its function after the North Sea flood of 1953. It has also had a chapel.

Kapelle (formerly Capelle) is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is located on the island of Schouwen-Duiveland, about 2 km west of Nieuwerkerk. Until 1813, the hamlet was part of the separate municipality of Capelle en Botland. In 1953, Capelle had grown into a small village, with about 20 houses and a population of around 100, when it was almost completely destroyed in the North Sea flood of 1953. All houses except two were swept away, and 42 inhabitants died. The village was not rebuilt; nowadays only a small hamlet remains, consisting of a number of farms. Kapelle should not be confused with some other locations in Zeeland: the hamlet of Looperskapelle on Schouwen-Duiveland, about 12 km to the northwest, which was formerly also known as "Kapelle", and the much larger town of Kapelle on Zuid-Beveland.

Dreischor is a village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, and lies about 20 km southwest of Hellevoetsluis.

Windenburg was a rather typical small castle in Dreischor, the Netherlands.
